What Doesn't work: FileVault (Not needed)
Upgraded from Ventura needing only to patch wifi using IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext and IOSkywalkFamily.kext, then work out problems with SIP using AMFIPass.kext and -amfipassbeta in boot-args. Patching out the PCIe capture card I use for Windows via SSDT ruins my Windows partition as it boots with an ACPI error BSOD. Leaving the card enabled in OpenCore doesn't ruin anything, so it's left there to blink red (annoying, but whatever).
I want to thank r/hackintosh, the folk(s) down at the Dortania Guides and their supporters, and other Hackintosh hobbyists keeping this thing alive - Hackintosh as a concept has been a childhood dream of mine, and I'm super stoked to have done it after a few weeks of hard work, troubleshooting and research.

HP OMEN 25L Desktop with Radeon 6600 XT verbose boot freeze
Hi all!
After I published a help-thread yesterday asking why the graphics rendering was all messed up on my hackintosh, I realized I was using an unsupported GPU (RTX 3070). I have now purchased and installed an AMD Radeon 6600 XT GPU but now I'm running into a different issue where the verbose boot freezes (and stays frozen) when booting.
I'm using a Intel 11th gen CPU (RocketLake).
And help would be greatly appreciated!

Which Hackintosh on a ThinkPad T470P (model 20J6)
Hey everyone !
I'm trying to make an hackintosh for my bro for music compositions (Logic Pro), a bit of image editing (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) and some little basics of video editing (Adobe Premier Pro expected). I'm using a step-by-step tutorial from the Tech2Tech web site (2022 version with OpenCore). So far, I have downloaded all the required tools but I can't find the appropriate Kexts files. I'm going on a Monterey version. Is Ventura possible ?

Hackintosh or MacMini/Studio? QUESTION
i'm thinking ahead of when i end up replacing my 2014 macbook pro as my go-to workhorse.. and since i never use my macbook as a portable device - i'm planning on replacing it with a SFF computer instead.
i'm not interested in anything bigger than SFF since my homeoffice is a relatively small room that i would like to keep tidy and unencumbered.
i'm wondering if i should stick to the official apple lineup or if i should consider going the hackintosh route with a custom SFF build.
\>>> i like the idea of being able to upgrade my own build vs having to buy a new apple device every several years - but i'm worried about a hackintosh build being too unstable and unreliable for what is meant to be my most trusty steed. is this a geniune concern or is hackintosh stable enough to compete with an apple device?

How good would Sonoma be with these specs?
I'm thinking about doing a Hackintosh in order to finally enjoy the Apple ecosystem without having to buy a non-upgradable future eWaste that has to be replaced once Apple says "No"
I've managed to build quite a respectable PC for only 500 euros, which has:
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
RAM: 16GB DDR5-4800
SSD: Gigabyte B650 DS3H
GPU: PowerColor RX 5700
SSDs: Crucial P3, Samsung 980 Pro which I currently use for Linux Mint
And a 2TB HDD, along with a 500GB one. Case has three case fans installed, if that is important.
Would this hardware be capable of making a good Hackintosh, and how good would the performance in Sonoma be?

Problems getting igpu working
My core specs:
- i7 6700k
- rx 5600xt
- z170 pro gaming
- sonoma 14.0
- Imac 19,1 smbios
The dgpu is working but the igpu doesn show up in system information. It's skylake so I needed to spoof it's id. I need the igpu for additional display outs.

macOS Ventura running sluggishly slow
Intel i5 8th gen (Coffee Lake)
Intel UHD 620 graphics
16gb ram
Thinkpad E480
MacOS does boot but it runs slow, in system info the GPU does show up as 2048MB
I had Ventura on this same laptop but I installed an SD card kext and my system kernel panicked so I had to re-install macOS, used genSMBIOS to get MacBookPro16,4 serial number and rom and all that stuff.
My trackpad, brightness and WiFi don't also work despite using the same EFI folder and the kexts.
I've hit a roadblock and do not know what to do from here.
Edit - I downloaded Ventura 13.6 and the previous attempt was Ventura 13.1. Do you all think I should switch back to 13.1 and see if it makes a difference?

JMicron JMB362 eSATA Support on Monterey Possible?
Hi.
I remember having my JMicron JMB362 chipset eSATA port working on a version of macOS, but it's been so long that I can't even remember when that was.
Trying to use an eSATA enclosure for some stuff here as my Renesas USB3 ports are unsupported on this old Intel P67 mobo in Monterey as well.
I've tested (individually):
CtlnaAHCIPort.kext
SATA\_Unsupported.kext
AHCI_3rdParty_SATA.kext
AHCI\_3rdParty\_eSATA.kext
using kext folder in OpenCore + adding to config.plist to inject on boot.
macOS Monterey boots fine, no opencore errors, but I see no indication of the kext loading or initialization of the JMB device so I can only assume the kext isn't compatible, as per hackintool's extension output not showing anything.
Can this be accomplished by extracting the values from the AHCI_3rdParty_eSATA.kext for the specific model and transposing some of the values to mimic the plist structure in the SATA_Unsupported.kext or is this due to a lack of drivers that are bundled with Monterey no longer supporting the JMicron chipsets?

macOS 10.13 High Sierra doesn't boot. Shows some text and doesn't do anything after that
I didn't take a picture of the text, but it's pretty much all (and even a bit more) inside the liked zip alongside of the EFI folder.
My specs are:

Radeon 6650 XT Temperature
i bought 6650xt and spoofed successful and working good. after installing Radeon gadget (gpu temperature monitoring software) i see 50° idle temperature and when rendering in blender it kicks 100°.i got doubt and installed windows as dual boot and checked that i got 45° idle temperature and 75° temperature on blender rendering. is it normal ? And i run Sonoma 14.
My Mechine:

Ventura on Pixelbook Go (i5 8220y - 16gb Ram - 128gb SSD)
After a few days stuck with Chrome OS, and Windows on my PixelBook Go, I made a decision to come with Hackintosh, and boom, It worked very well, here are some things you need to care about:
The webcam and sound don't work.
\- The command key (Google Assistant key) was not recognized, I tried to use a lot of remap keyboards but it didn't help at all.
\- The keyboard light does not work
\- The sound (Intel Smart Sound Technology) is not supported on Mac.
\- Webcam not supported too, but better than in Windows (The green light was turned off)

What works:
\- Touch screen.
\- Wifi support good (Bluetooth, nearby share, Wifi...)
The keyboard works well except for the Command key. The function key works well too, and can be remapped by Karabiner software.
\- Battery can last long up to 8 hours @@. Even don't have a fan, it is still warm not too hot.
\- Trackpad is good and native with Mac OS.
Here is some picture for all of you:

Synchronization with iCloud paused - Photos
Hey there!
So far I am very happy with my Hackintosh.
I got through the guide well and was able to sort out all the major problems.Unfortunately, there remains one problem that I can't quite explain.In the Photos app, the sync with iCloud is always paused due to "Bad network connection".
I currently still have an Intel Wifi card with the appropriate kexts installed but would probably soon switch to a supported Broadcom for AirDrop and co.
However, it would be cool to be able to solve the problem first - are there perhaps settings for the config.plist?I haven't found a native solution yet to tell macOS to ignore this, so currently I can only continue syncing for an hour at a time....
Anybody knows anything about it?

Laptop LCD extremely dim when booting

I used Dortania to set up the EFI.
Everything works during booting, but on the installation screen (where you see disk utility) my laptop LCD just becomes extremely dim.
I have added the following to my boot args (-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=1 -igfxblr igfxonln=1 enable-backlight-registers-fix) and I have also put the ACPI SSDT-PNLF.aml.
Is there any kexts I should install at this current moment?
I also don't think trackpad and keyboard works as nothing seems to be happening when I use both (using a USB mouse and keyboard, I can see changes)
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I have learnt the hard way that prebuilt EFI's lead to all sort of problems, knowing this I followed Dortania's guide for my CPU and GPU taking note of all the important information. My EFI does not even work now and actually works worse than before. Could I upload my EFI here and get some help with it as this is my first time making an EFI?

OMEN 25L Desktop GT11 (11th Gen Intel) RocketLake graphics issue
Hi all!
I have recently attempted installing macOS Monterey on my HP OMEN 25L Desktop PC and I'm running into some issues related to rendering and/or graphics.
The issue is, the top third of the screen flickers and behaves very strange. The middle portion of the screen seems to work fine, and the bottom third of the screen acts as a mirror to the top half (meaning I can't use the bottom third of the screen at all).
Hackintool doesn't appear to support RocketLake and every other EFI folder that I have found so far has not allowed the computer to start at all. I'm new to hackintosh and I'm mainly experimenting right now but I would greatly appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Managed to install Mac OS Ventura on this laptop!
Weirdly enough, I've seen nobody hackintosh this specific laptop at all.
Everything works great, with only a few things not working.

Help for Sonoma update from Ventura
Greetings,
I have a perfectly working Ventura hackintosh, a Lenovo ThinkBook 15-IML laptop which I've been using for a while. Here are the specs:
`-I3 1011U 10th Gen`
`-Intel UHD 620`
`-8GB RAM DDR4`
`-240GB SSD Crucial`
When I try to update it to Sonoma with the USB no matter how many attempts I do, I always get an error (In memory panic stackshot succeeded) or a prohibited sign. I guess it has something to do with the SMB info (I'm running a MacBookPro16,3 for instance).
I'll provide the EFI folder, can anybody tell me what's wrong with it?
