It wasn't a clean install, as you can see from the many apps already installed. I've upgraded from Ventura creating an USB drive with a full installer of Sonoma.
For this laptop, the best version you can install is the latest of Monterey in my humble opinion. Since Ventura, bluetooth doesn't work properly, it only connects to audio devices like Airpods, speaker etc. I am unable to connect my bluetooth keyboard and mouse for some reason.
The Wi-Fi works ok, I'm using the alpha version of Airportitlwm but I've got the same results as the stable version. Sometimes the wi-fi just stops working, but I usually just disable it and re-enable it. Airdrop, Continuity and Handoff do not work!
I do have one issue, that I had since Monterey, and is that sometimes on boot it panics. I don't know what causes it because it's completely random. I did save a log of the panic once, so if someone knows what the problem might be and can help me it would be very appreciated!

Hello everyone, I have been working as a Flutter developer for a while now, but recently I was asked to be on a project where I am required to develop an app natively for iOS (AKA I need to use Swift).
I know you can use Swift on Windows/Linux now, but I've heard that it's really bad. so I was planning to attempt turning my custom PC to a Hackintosh and maybe do some dual boot, with Windows and Linux.
I've researched a bit, and I found this repo, and it looks promising:

Hi, i decided to giveup installing sonoma becaouse of prohibited logo with ''support.apple yada yada..'' when trying to boot to recovery online dmg, and now i was trying to install ventura, and i succeded but, everytime i boot my laptop the prohibition sign shows, with same text ''support.apple yada yada'' - but when i reset the nvram few times, and also set my bios settings to default it eventually starts withou problem :/
i made efi following dortania guide, i think everything is okay here, i tried many ways to fix it myself, so it could go past this, but i dunno sadly what to do if someone can look into it and maybe could help with the issue i would appreciate it! thanks:

OpenCore OpenRuntime.efi Cannot Be Started - Unsupported! (Ventura)
I've tried everything; started with fresh OpenCore 0.9.5 debug and Sample.plist, but I keep getting this message (on the last line) before it freezes:
OC: Driver OpenRuntime.efi at 2 cannot be started - Unsupported! Halting on critical error
Right above that line is:
OC: Watchdog status is 0
I've done many searches and can't find a solution anywhere, so I'm posting here. I would be eternally grateful if someone could give me some insight on what is happening, and how to possibly fix it. Thank you!

Is hackintosh worth it still?
So I have a 10700k build on Big Sur. With apple discontinuing intel support in the future, and not updating kexts for rdna3 leaves us stuck with Radeon 6900xt as the most powerful.
So I’m kind of wondering if it’s even worth it anymore? Any guesses on how long apple will even continue intel support?
Am I thinking too hard and overthinking this?

Is there any way to use a 980ti (Maxwell) in Sonoma?
Im using my Hackintosh primarily as a video editing machine, and of course general use. Im currently using an AMD RX570 4GB and it works OOTB.
But I’m wanting a little more GPU power and I have 2 reference 980Ti cards currently doing nothing. It would be amazing to use them both in my build for DaVinci Resolve.

Dual Battery Support Help ThinkPad T470
hi guys, i'm new to the world of hackintosh, and i want to install mac os sonoma on my ThinkPad T470 that has an Intel Core I7-6600u.
I made an EFI that works for Montrey, and everything works great and fine, except for one thing, the one i care the most. Dual Battery support. i tried to make my own fix using this guide https://github.com/acidanthera/VirtualSMC/blob/master/Docs/Dual%20Battery%20Support.md but unfortunatelly this not work.
in IORegistryExplore i see BAT0 and BAT1 but for some reason macos like to use only one of my two battery. and guess what, it uses the most consumed battery (24kwh originally, but now its capacity it's around 11kwh) so i have little autonomy.
in fact if I go to system report and power, macos only reads the internal battery consumed and with many charging cycles.
even with an smbios that literally consumes 7 watts (MacBook9,1) the battery life is still poor.
I would like to understand if it was possible to use both the worn out internal battery and the new 48 kWh external battery that I bought a week ago

DIfference Backup: macOS 230GB and Backup 125GB?
I made a backup of macOS and I had a question: macOS is taking up 230GB of storage and the SSD where the backup was made only up 125GB.

Hackintosh Help - HP Probook G8 440
Hi there,
I’m new to this arena and would like to put Mac OS on my laptop.
My laptop is a HP ProBook 440 G8,
Processor: 11th Gen Core Tiger Lake i5-1135G7 (2.40GHz x 4)
RAM: DDR4 16GB
Graphics: Intel TigerLake-LP GT2 (Iris Xe Graphics)
I have a few questions, any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
- Is this possible?
- would I have to use a really old version of MacOS?
- I assume iCloud works okay? (I haven’t done this since a very early version of MacOS)
