"New" Wifi Card Not Detected in Windows 10, changed for MacOS
I've successfully installed MacOS Monterey on my Ryzentosh, see details below. Unfortunately the motherboard version I bought came with the AMD RZ608 (rebranded MediaTek MT7921K) so I decided to buy a second hand Intel 3168NGW.
I replaced the wifi cards and when I boot into Windows 10 and installed the drivers below the system doesn't detect it in Device Manager. I've tried using the drivers on the B550i Aorus Pro Ax (rev 1.0) page since that motherboard comes with the Intel AX200 but still doesn't work.

macOS partitions is not showing in the OpenCore boot menu
I flashed my bootable usb using guidance Dortiana guide of the but when I boot it it only shows windows as the boot option and not my Catalina installer. Here's everything from my USB bootable drive : Link to my USB bootable drive's files and folders.
My BIOS settings: (ThinkPad T430s)
1. UEFI enabled
2. CSM is enabled
3. USB 3.0 disabled

Updating to moneterey
Hello guys. Iam currently on big sur on my hp pro book 650 G2 and I want to update to moneterey. I saw the changes made in moneterey on opencores guide and essentially from what I can gather my secureboot model should be disbaled, I need to update kexts, bluetooth injector should be disbaled. Is that all? Regarding kexts the only kext that needs updating is the WiFi one. The other fundamental kexts like keyboard, trackpad, gpu accelerations one seems to work till the latest macOS version so they don’t need updating. Is there anything else I should be vary off while updating

Legacy iMac xcode glitch - sonoma
Hi all, i dont know if this is the right subreddit to post this question on, but i hope you can help. I have an old iMac from 2013 (i think) - it has an i7 4770s and gt 750m card. I have recently installed sonoma with the help of Open Core Legacy Patcher. My father used this same machine to code on xcode, and it worked fine on ventura. Now for some reason xcode has stopped working. You can code fine, but the problem rises when building the app. The simulator when building an app shows a black screen. I want to know if it may be because of the OCLP version for sonoma being to recent, or if maybe apple patched xcode to work only with apple silicone gpus. Thanks in advance for all the help.

What's the best way to downgrade from Sonoma to Ventura?
I upgraded my desktop from Ventura to Sonoma, figured out how to re-enable WiFi, but bluetooth just doesn't work. The WiFi speed is slow. I feel Ventura support is better (OpenIntelWireless hasn't released Sonoma supported driver yet) and want to rollback. Although I have Time Machine backup, it says I need to reinstall. Is this the only way?
On Windows, one can downgrade from 11 to 10 if the previous installation hasn't been cleaned up yet...

Can I run a hackintosh build?
Hello! I’m new to hackintosh and I wondered if I can run macOS Ventura on my setup:
CPU: Comet Lake i9 10900
Mobo: Rog Maximus Hero XII
RAM: 32gb 3200
GPU: Rtx 3080ti(I’m aware that I have to stop using this one since it won’t work)
Can I plug the hdmi cable in the motherboard and install hackintosh on this machine?

Hello everyone! I have created a hackintosh running macOS sonoma which works perfectly but while trying to use any kind of virtualization like docker and virtualbox etc, it simply won't work. * Sleep/Wake do work but sometimes the second monitor doesn't wake, I need to power cycle the monitor everytime it does that, has that happened to any of you?
* How are you guys monitoring the GPU Utilization/Power draw? I tried using iState but the wattage doesn't change (even when benchmarking) and no frequency shown.

Hardware Upgrades Before the End of Hackintosh
I have a Skylake/5700 XT build currently running Monterey and I love it. Everything works, and it's been my daily driver for years. I have no need to upgrade my build for better performance or access to Ventura/Sonoma.
BUT I do fantasize about a 1700 mobo, getting a 13900k, maybe even upgrade the GPU to a 6600XT, and try to get the best machine possible for the remainder of Hackintosh's lifespan.
Folks with older components or macOS versions, will you keep your current builds? Folks who recently upgraded hardware in previously stable builds, what made you decide to?

Successful Hackintosh on Huawei Matebook D15 with Ryzen 3500U.
After many trial and errors, researching and all that jazz. I finally installed Ventura on my AMD Laptop.
Although still got some issues, you might be able to help me with. For example AMD Power Gadget refuses to work and every time i launch a different browser than Safari the computer kernel panics.
Wi-fi and bluetooth obviously doesn't work because unsupported Realtek card.
But i don't know, why the trackpad doesn't work got all the kexts (sometimes theres a tiny bit of movement from the touchpad, but never usable).

FINALLY! Mac OS Big Surr 11.7 on HP Elitebook 8470p

After a week of trying, failing and a lot of learning I was finally able to install Mac OS Big Surr on my Elitebook 8470p. Nonthelees, It was great little adventure especially to a new comer like me.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3610QM 4 core 8 thread
RAM: 16GB @ 1600MHz
GPU: Integrated Intel HD 4000
SSD: 128GB
Display: 1600x900
Most things works, especially important ones like hardware accelaration, USBs, keyboard(including wireless on/off button and mute button), touchpad, Wifi and ethernet.
However what doesnt work is:
\- Display port(can be fixed but im not bothered)
\- Bluetooth(can be easily fixed but once again im not bothered since I dont need it)
\- VGA
\- SD card
\- Smart Card reader
\- Audio**(only problem which gives me headache, any help would be appreciated)**

Minecraft slow on amd hackintosh
Hi, a year agosto i have a hackintosh with this specs:
Cpu: Intel pentium g3258
Gpu: Nvidia gtx750 2gb
Ram: 12 gb ddr3
Storage: hdd
Os: high sierra
When i played minecraft with this setup i have 80 fps stable.
Now i have this computer:
Cpu: amd 5 3600
Gpu: rx 580 4gb
Ram: 16 ddr4 3200
Storage: m2
Os: ventura
Now, when i play mi ecraft i have less fps than before and more unstable. I cant play with this.
I use hackintosh for music produccer but some time i play minecraft etc.

Hey can I clone my current Hackintosh system drive to a bootable USB in order to experiment with upgrades?
I currently have a dual boot Catalina/Win PC that someone else set up for me. It's a few years old now and I'm ready to upgrade the OS. The thing is I absolutely can not afford to be down for more than a day (I use my machine for work). Which is also why I don't want to bring my box back to the Hackintosh dude who built it.
Is it possible to clone my system drive 1 to 1 onto a bootable USB stick/drive so that I can experiment with upgrading my Catalina to a newer OS? or attempt a fresh install -- without it fucking anything up on my current system?
And if so, what should lI use to clone it? and are there any caveats I should be aware of? I'm especially worried about messing up my current setup.
I'm sure this question is super basic, so apologies if it's been asked a lot.

I am busy creating a Hackintosh with my Gigabyte B360 HD3 with an 8th Gen Intel Core i3 with no VGA graphics support, 16 GB RAM and 128 GB Adata m.2 SSD.
I do have a MSI GTX 1050 2GB Graphics card. I saw on Dortania that Pascal only goes up to High Sierra, but can I make it work on Big Sur or newer?

macOS restarts after progress bar reaches halfway
Hello! When I updated my Hackintosh to Sonoma, I shut down to finish the process, but now my hackintosh will only boot up to half-way in the progress bar, before booting into Windows. I tried updating every kext individually, updated OpenCore, looked at my config.plist, but nothing worked. I booted into Windows and deleted the macOS partition, so that I could try install Ventura again, but when I boot from my USB it did the same error. Can anyone help?

Screen goes black on installation - intel hd530
Hi,
I've tried to make my config.plist for my system:
CPU: Intel i7 6700k
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI
RAM: 32GB Ram DDR4
Bootdisk: Crucial Nvme 500GB
Extra Storage: 1TB Sata
NIC: Intel I219-V
WIFI: Intel AX200 (kext not yet in EFI folder, but I try to boot without the card, will install later)
Bluetooth: Broadcom chip
GPU: Intel HD530 (igpu) (Connected with HDMI)
Now whenever I try to boot the installation it all goes well until the moment the apple loading logo need to show up/or the installation itself, then the screen goes black, however the PC keeps running.
I'm trying to boot the Ventura recovery I got using the Python Recovery-script of OpenCore.
I'm guessing the problem occurs because of the GPU that I'm trying to spoof but I'm not sure.
Can you take a look to my EFI-folder please?

*general bluetooth for peripherals can work with intel cards, but features like airdrop won't work with intel wifi.

A Combo of "Dortania's OpenCore Install Guide 0.9.1" and OpenCoreConfigurator 0.9.5's built in tools we're used to complete this install.
This thing will be used to cut in FCPX, as my 5,1 used to edit with me before the 11 year old PSU curse was upon me.

Need expert advice, OC 0.9.5 Ventura 13.7 Lenovo Ideapad C340.
I’ve a Lenovo Ideapad c340(ScreenTouch) with i5 10210u processor, and I’m dual booting with opencore one is windows and another is macOS everything is working fine in both but Keyboard and ScreenTouch is not working in macOS and during opencore boot picker keyboard is working but not touchpad.
Can anyone help me out of this.

Hackintosh Monterey takes long time to boot and shows no other disks.
Hello. I have a problem with my Hackintosh. Basically when I start Monterey it takes 4 minutes to boot, and as soon as it is started completely it does not show the other disks outside the disk where it is installed. Can someone help me?

I removed the CD player and inserted a 1 TB Segate HDD, which is the disk that is not detected by macOS, in addition to the USB sticks.

I wrecked my HiDPI monitor settings.... stuck with LowRes blurry screen
I have a Samsung U28H750uqe. This monitor supports 4K @ 60Hz. I have been using HiDPI 1080p mode with RX 580 8GB using HDMI 2.0 cables for a while. I recently sold my RX 580, and used a GTX 770 2GB for a while (at regular 1080p) for a while, but then replaced with another RX 580 8GB. I tested a Dell 1080p monitor a few days ago, and only now I am noticing I have no 60Hz modes above 1080p, only 30Hz refresh (which is PAINFUL).
I'm beginning to think my replacement RX 580 8GB does not support HDMI 2.0?? This is silly tho, coz I think it is in the SPEC?
My FreeSync setting in the monitor menus is greyed out too.
I am at a loss here... so many things have been changed? I am unsure whether SwitchResX has created Apple profiles which keep reloading?
Not even sure whether I should be injecting EDID info or not? Forcing RGB???
I think I'm losing my mind - HELP !!!
PS. I'll test the other HDMI input in the monitor, just in case (as well as both cables), They are going through an (unnecessary) 4K 60Hz HDMI 2.0 3-port switcher. Maybe it's time for a direct connection?
