USB dies after accessing the boot image on my netbook Hackintosh
I know this is a long shot but I just need to try as I have gotten a little far now. Anyways, I have a netbook that I wanted to hackintosh. Already done the gathering files and setting up config, boot menu is working fine, both trackpad and keyboard and my external keyboard is working too but when I'm accessing the 10.6.7 Installer, the USB will just not work. Like it's been disconnected to the system or smth and the setup will froze here... I downloaded the 10.6.7 image here. Here's the specs.
Intel Atom N455 | GMA 3150 | 1GB RAM | 320GB HDD
When this part pop up, the USB will not blink anymore\/

BCM94352HMB on Sonoma, pulling my hair out
As a last ditch effort to get wifi to work in Sonoma, I tried to disable Bluetooth kexts. On the following boot, wifi worked! I’ve tried absolutely everything up to this point, from spoofing device ID, to a SSDT that does the same. For a long time hackintool wouldn’t even show my wifi hardware under the pci tab. Now it does, but after re-enableling BT kexts, wifi stopped working again.
And now after re-disabling BT kexts, it’s still not working.
I’ve even tried to completely rebuild my EFI AND one from a GitHub project of the same hardware just by replacing my platform info.
The PC is a Lenovo M93p tiny (Haswell i5 35w part, can’t remember the exact proc. right now)
Does anybody have any hints? I’ve got the required kexts loading in the right order, ive got -lilubetaall and -amfipassbeta in the boot args, and manually reset nvram between changes. I just can’t figure out why it worked for 2 boot’s consecutively and now won’t work again.

MacOS Sonoma + RX6600 XT = 2 dead ports?
Just upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma and now only 2 of the 4 ports on the graphic card are working - the HDMI port and one of the three DisplayPorts. It was a 3 monitor setup when I started the upgrade and none of the hardware was touched during the process. I have done all of the obvious troubleshooting with different and cable and monitor combinations and it's definitely a case of 2 dead ports. Anyone else had any issues? Any ideas how to troubleshoot from here?

So, I was digging around the history of Hackintoshing and found out that there was a Clover Configurator. I also found out that there's one for OpenCore, but I wanted to ask, what is your opinion about it?
The title says it all. I honestly think that a GUI based app with MountEFI, ProperTree, etc., that doesn't require you to learn nothing (even if you didn't made your own ACPIs), takes away all the fun and risk there is with Hackintoshing. And Dortania's Guide is quite clear when it comes to using configurators: just don't.
But I got curious and wanted to know some experiences of people who used it, and opinions about the developers of these tools.

Anyone tried manual USB mapping from dortania guide?
I've gone through the steps thoroughly but still confused about getting to work USB 3 backward compatibility, the example in the guide is from Asus x299 board which shows pxsx controller and mine is z390 aorus master with only xhci controller using USBinjectall ? Any detailed info will be really appreciated!

\- Handoff
\- All audio jacks besides the front IO jacks
\- Dual Monitors (Works when plugging second monitor in after boot)
\- Hardware Acceleration

Whats not working:
\- Airdrop
\- Front Panel AUX
\- Booting up with 2 monitors (Causes the display to go black)

Unable to test:
\- LAN (Switch broke so I have to use Wi-Fi)
\- Facetime (No webcam)

It took 2 days of nightmares to get here but it was worth it, it was smooth sailing for the first day then day 2 was plagued with boot errors because of a faulty ACPI which took me way too long to diagnose.
I used the Luchina Gabriel 11th Gen EFI as a base, then used OCAT to add Kexts and ACPIs I needed. I also used SSDTTime for ACPI generation.

Update from Ventura to Sonoma
I’m on the latest opencore and Ventura and I want to do the upgrade. My SMBIOS is iMac 18,1. Which is no longer supported. My specs are Kaby Lake i5 7400, 32gb RAM 2400mhz, B250h motherboard, rx 570 8GB. Do I just changed the SMBIOS? Which version? I’ve already downloaded Sonoma and made a bootable USB already. Mac Intel 2,3GHz MacBook Pro9,1 with Intel HD 4000 & NVidia GT650M Patch Failure Error 31 on Sonoma
I've revived my Mac Intel 2,3GHz MacBook Pro9,1 with Intel HD 4000 & NVidia GT650M and was able to make a full install with OpenCore 1.0.1 to Sonoma. First tried the upgrade with no success because of NVidia driver errors that would not let me patch them always giving me the error 31 after trying to rebuild the Kernel Cache.
Tried to make a full HD format and install from root, this time everything when smoothly and the NVidia drivers from the OpenCore 1.0.1 worked flawlessly and everything is working smoothly, did a root patch and no errors this time and the machine holds up good to Sonoma with so far no visible problems, even the external video port works flawlessly.
Then I proceeded to Migration Assistant in order to bring my files back in, all good also with no problems and everything working good.
But then when I go and check the Root Patching to see if anything was missing I have the OK message saying all applicable patches are already installed, perfect. The machine is working fine, Thank you guys for everything got my machine back working again.
My question is about this Patch Failure error 31.
I wanted to remove the Boot Picker from the loading system so it will not show up every time I need to reboot the machine, so I unchecked the Show OpenCore Boot Picker and performed a root patch again to applied it but this time I can no longer patch it since it gives me the error (31) again making it impossible to re-patch. Could this have to do with the Migration Assistant that brought over the old NVidia drivers and now is causing the problem or what could be the cause of this or how to permanently fix it?
If I reboot the machine it works perfectly with the OpenCore 1.0.1 drivers and everything looks fine, the only problem is that I can no longer re-patch it in case it's needed for future upgrades of OpenCore.
Anyone in the same situation or any tips on this? Thank you all for the excellent work on this project, my mac is back alive again.
Here are the screenshots for the error (31)

Hack has long boot times
Hi guys. When I boot up my hack, after the OpenCore picker screen and I select macOS, the next screen is where a bunch of text gets streamed and displayed and after that screen finishes displaying text, my hack goes black for a long time until eventually I get to the login screen. I have 2 hacks, both of which have the same motherboard, same GPU, and almost the same CPU. Hack 1 has a 10900k and hack 2 has a 10700k. Hack 1 is working perfectly. Because of this, I used the EFI from hack 1 and just changed the smbios to the correct one for that CPU. Any idea as to why hack 2 has the problem above? I've been stuck on this for a while, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can upload the EFI's if necessary

Should I get a Broadcom Wireless card? Or I'll be fine with Itwlm and Airportitlwm?
Even though I can't make use of continuity (I don't have other Apple products), having to either secure boot to use WiFi; or not being able to connect throughout the WiFi menu, or being able to use location services seems a bit rough. But, as a beginner, I could be wrong. That's why, as the title says, I want to know from your personal experience, if what I've mentioned isn't as bad as it sounds, or if it's worth it trying to get a Broadcom card.
I have to mention that I have a ThinkPad E460 (that's why using Ethernet, although supported in my case, isn't that practical) and found out I could change the wireless card. Because of my country's situation, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get a compatible Broadcom card anytime soon. That's the main reason I'm asking and not getting the card straight away.

security on an open core Big Sur build
I just recently used the opencore legacy patcher to install Big Sur on my 9,2 MacBook Pro
I also use etrecheck to keep on top of my machine. So I ran it after the update was finished. It’s stating major issues being “system integrity protection disabled” and “Apple security disabled”. I do understand these need to be disabled for the patch to work.
So do I need a third party malware/virus protector?
How exposed am I without these protections enabled?
Is it possible to re-enable them and stay with Big Sur?
