Would ANY Mac os X work on this pc?
The specs are:
Intel Core 2 Quad q8200

4 gb Kingston ram (2x 2gb stick)
Gt 710 (the motherboard also has a built in gpu)

Update from Ventura to Sonoma
I’m on the latest opencore and Ventura and I want to do the upgrade. My SMBIOS is iMac 18,1. Which is no longer supported. My specs are Kaby Lake i5 7400, 32gb RAM 2400mhz, B250h motherboard, rx 570 8GB. Do I just changed the SMBIOS? Which version? I’ve already downloaded Sonoma and made a bootable USB already. Just don’t want to dive in and lose something that ain’t broke.

The update cannot be installed on this computer. Why do I get this error?
Hi there!
I am facing a problem when trying to update my macbook Hackintosh from Ventura 13.6 to Sonoma 14.0 within system settings:

https://preview.redd.it/fktx8rdmhctb1.png?width=827&format=png&auto=webp&s=d6f8e5a1ebbcfc85a84e08bf63e46622b32948d8

I do not understand why this error shows up because I always updated macOS Ventura this way (I mean, within System Settings) and now it sucks.
I know this is not linked to SMBios because I used MacBookAir9,1 which should be Sonoma-ready.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Only issues currently:
* The trackpad is REALLY messed up (using a mouse works great, so I'll just use that for now)
* Touchscreen doesn't work (honestly I was expecting this, it was technically supposed to work, but it didn't lol)
* USB isn't mapped right, I did something wrong with USBToolBox, I'm sure I'll get this fixed soon. Main issue with it right now is it sees the internal SSD macOS is installed on as an external drive and won't let me run bootcamp.

BCM94360NG bluetooth issue.
Good day again gentlemen. I just need some help with my machine (running Ventura). I currently change my wifi card (8265NGW) to Broadcom (BCM94360NG). Wifi works perfectly however the bluetooth doesn't connect to my headphones (Marshall Minor III). To be clear bluetooth switch can be toggled and not greyed out. I have tried importing kext like BrcmBluetoothInjector, BrcmFirmwareData, BrcmPatchRAM3 and AirportBrcmFixup. After all of these, the connection issue still doesn't resolve. I also tried peeking into Hackintool and notice in System>Peripherals, while my Wireless card is present and correctly reflected, the bluetooth shows different BCM model.
Hope someone could help me. Thanks in advance gentlemen

Need help on instant wake-up caused by GBE1
Running a desktop with Xeon W-2133 processor, picked up iMacPro1,1 in SMBios. I notice that whenever the computer transitions to sleep state, it will wake up almost immediately. Based on the log firstly it is caused by XHCI/GBE1. I thought it's caused by IntelMausi.kext, so I disabled the kext (I am using Wi-Fi) but nothing is changed. Then I disabled built-in LAN in BIOS, but the symptom is still the same, "log show --last boot | grep -I -E gbe1" shows:

Graphical Lag and Stutter Issues - Help Appreciated :)
Successfully installed multiple MacOS releases on this Hackintosh, from Big Sur to Sonoma, and the issue persists across the board. It was really bad at the beginning before mapping USB ports. I have played around with ResizeBar and AppleResizeBar to try and fix, and agpmod=pikera vs. agpmod=ignore doesn't seem to affect it either. Mostly performance is good, just annoying stutters with dragging windows, resizing windows etc. GPU Metal Scored 195000 so acceleration seems to be doin its thang, but still stutters and lags that really FRUSTRATE me.

13th Intel i5-13500 / Which components (Mainboard and RAM) for 12.0+ Hackintosh?
I'm currently on a MacPro5.1 (dual CPU with AMD RX580) and would now like to put together a new system, as the MacPro is clearly reaching its limits.
Looking to build an OpenCore Hackintosh with Monterey (Audio, Video duties) + Windows 10 (Gaming duties) on separate m.2 SSDs.
My shopping list currently consists of:
1. CPU: 13th Gen. Intel i5-13500 (Geizhals: € 259,99)
2. CPU cooler: ?
3. MoBo: ?
4. RAM: ?
5. Graphics: AMD RX6800 Founders Edition (Non-XT) (Geizhals: already purchased)
6. Case Option 1: be quiet! Silent Base 802 black, soundproof (36 dBA) (Geizhals: 160€)
7. Case Option 2: be quiet! Pure Base 600, black, soundproof (29 dBA) (Geizhals: 80€)
8. M.2 SSDs: 2x Samsung SSD 980 Pro 2TB (Geizhals: ~130€ \(260€ total\))
9. Power: 650W be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 ATX 2.4 (Geizhals: Already purchased)
I'm currently still looking for the right MoBo that is easiest to configure for OpenCore.
So afaik there are Z690, Z790 and B660 chipsets compatible with the LGA 1700 series. Which determines whether you order either DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. Which chipset would you recommend? I chose the i5-13500 because it seems to be the most effective price-performance ratio for the 13th Intel generation. Is it a good choice for a Hackintosh?
General requirements for the Hackintosh:
1. + Quiet. I produce music and am very susceptible to noise :-D
(Also considerating modding the fans of the RX6800 to accomplish lower noise-floor by means of Dremel and 3x Noctua fans (like here with this fan mod of a RX580, though thats a completely different topic )
+ ATX (to be able to plug in as much cards or peripherals as possible)
. + No RGB Nonsense
+ as many USB ports as possible
+ at least 2x M.2 SSD connectors
+ at least 2 more free PCI-E slots after the GPU (will add 1x PCI-E Firewire adapter), so ideally 3 slots.
Optional:
+ 10.14 Mojave Partition
I still have a Sata III SSD with 10.14 Mojave, if you can somehow use the iGPU on the MoBo this partition could be used.
Since the RX6800 only runs using Big Sur/Monterey and above, the graphics acceleration from the RX6800 would have to be disconnected somehow in the EFI for that particular partition, so the iGPU would be used (Do not know if and how that works)
+ Thunderbolt (for backward compatible Firewire adapters, to be able to spare that PCI-E Firewire card mentioned above)

Really slow ethernet speed, even USB Ethernet adapters (Ventura, Ryzen 5600, MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi, RX580)
I just installed Ventura on my PC using the OpenCore Guide. I followed all instructions, built my own EFi and it worked perfectly.
The only problem is networking speeds. I initially installed the normal Realtek Kext and my onboard NIC was looking functional. The speeds I get are just very low, about 1MBit/s download. I can safely say that this is not a router/cable problem. In Windows it works flawlessly.
I tried to just use the my USB ethernet adapter which btw works flawlessly with every Mac I own. It gets recognized but the behavior is the same and the speed is identical. So it’s not exclusively related to my onboard NIC.
Removing the RTL8111.kext doesn't do anything regarding the issue other than removing my onboard NIC to be functional. With it being removed the isolated external USB network adapter still shows the same problem.
Everything in my machine that can be used with OpenCore works perfectly. It’s just this system wide network speed that is super slow. Unfortunately my WiFi card is not supported so I can’t say of wireless would also be affected. It drives me nuts.
Does anyone know what could be wrong here?
