Cant update OpenCore
So after trying for idk how long I managed to get hackintosh but the Hackintool says my OpenCore version is 6.6.0 and I f I want to update it through OCAT the next boot isn't successful its just saying no schema like 100 times and the it is just stuck

Sonoma Graphical Freezes
Hi,
I've done the update to Sonoma and re-added Broadcom support via OCLP. From time to time my graphics card has some slowdowns. In Ventura I had no such issues.
It'll start to freeze while watching Youtube. Only solution I have is to restart my computer.
I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this or is experiencing the same thing. Culprit being most likely my RX580 card. Which is working fine under windows.

Kernel panic after installing windows on separate drive
Hi everyone,
I have an Hackintosh running Monterey installed on NMVE. On this drive there is the EFI partition with OC. Yesterday I add a second drive (SSD) and installed windows on it. So it have its on UEFI partition.
After some changes on OC (security policy and customsmbiosguid ) I finally managed to boot both operating systems from OC but suddenly today I'm receving kernel panic on OS Mac at boot.
I already tried to shutdown completely the pc or reboot from Windows or Mac, but it seems that now appear everytime I try to boot with mac.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Searching for a guide for i7 920 (Bloomfield)
I have a pc with a gtx 285 and a quad core i7 920 Bloomfield architecture and I’m thinking about installing high sierra since my gpu is supported till high sierra, but I can’t seem to find the guide that I need for Bloomfield can anyone give me a guide? Or do I just download a pre built efi for my cpu and configure it to my pc and gpu?

Could Hackintoshing cause damage?
I recently got a new Framework laptop, that I am using with an RX 6600 Thunderbolt eGPU. From what I have read so far, if I spoof the CPU (it's 13th Gen) I should be able to run macOS on this. I wouldn't intend to use it as a daily driver, rather as a fun little project.
Now I don't really care about having to do a ton of tinkering, or failing, but when hackintoshing my previous laptop (ThinkPad x280) I had read that in this case a misconfigured bios could cause you to brick the device.
Really this is the only thing deterring me from trying, so now my question is, is there a significant risk involved with trying to hackintosh this? Could I be causing permanent damage to my device if I try?

Hackintosh Sonoma wallpaper not showing up
The wallpaper is just black for some reason, and it stays black even if I change it.

Is it normal for first usb boot to take a very long time?
I’m using dortinas open core guide and it does boot not to the Apple logo but the shell where it spits all of its processes and it hangs on some last part of the process, it’s not anything specific as far as I can see. I’m thinking this is because I’m using usb 2. If you need any info like my plist file or kext files.

Skylake Laptop woes
I decided to try installing Ventura on my Clevo P650RE laptop, the relevant specs are as follows:
CPU: i7-6700HQ
iGPU: HD 530
dGPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970M (not supported, therefore disabled in bios)
The main issue I'm having is with the display going to sleep and not waking up. This should ideally not be a big problem, because after installation i can just disable sleep altogether. But the issue is, my display goes to sleep even during installation.
I read that HD530 has had this issue for quite a while, and tried to fix it by adding the following boot args to my plist:
-v keepsyms=1 -wegnoegpu lilucpu=9 igfxonln=1 -igfxsklaskbl -disablegfxfirmware
I also spoofed my hardware using Kaby Lake platform-id 00001B59 and device-id 16590000, as recommended online.
My smbios is MacBookPro14,1
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? I'd rather not sit and baby the installation for hours and move the mouse to prevent the display from sleeping.

OpenCore Sonoma | Hard Drives not Showing in Installer
Recently, I attempted to upgrade from Monterey to Sonoma but encountered a problem: the Installer couldn't detect any hard disks in my computer. Initially, I suspected it was related to NVMe storage, but I couldn't find anyone else with the same issue (I already had NVMeFix installed). However, I later realized that I also had a regular SSD that the Installer couldn't detect. After a broader search, not limited to NVMEs, I came across a thread where the same issue with the Monterey installer was resolved by removing Intel Bluetooth and WiFi kexts.
Since my motherboard (Gigabyte Z490 VISION D) has integrated Intel Bluetooth, I intended to do the same. However, it turned out that for Monterey, I wasn't using Intel Bluetooth but a cheap USB dongle based on Broadcom's chip. This meant I was loading a bunch of Broadcom-related kexts (which had been working perfectly for Monterey). Nevertheless, I removed the Broadcom kexts, and suddenly, all disks became visible. What's even better is that it seems Sonoma doesn't require drivers for my Bluetooth dongle; it works out of the box.
In summary, if the Installer can't detect target disks, the solution might be to remove Bluetooth kexts.

Can I successfully install ventura in 12700k and z690 gaming x ?
I'm planning to build a Ventura Hackintosh for video production, and I intend to use Adobe apps, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve without any issues. Is the i7-12700K, Z690 Gaming motherboard, Rx 5700xt gpu a perfect fit for this purpose? I can’t find a complete opencore guide for this. So that I confused. Please advise. Thanks.

Ventura No sleep unless I disconnect from wifi since updating to 13.6 (Broadcom/Apple card)
Took me some time to figure out this was the cause lol.
With wifi disconnected (not disabled) sleep works fine, keyboard lights go off and power led changes colour indicating sleep.
With wifi connected only the screen goes to sleep, keyboard lights stay on and power led doesn't change colour.
I collected some logs of putting the system to sleep with
sleepnowand then get powerd sleep/wake messages. Clearing logs in between cycles. They are a bit different but I don't know why it's not sleeping when connected.

I recently posted about my build yesterday and assume that sidecar won't work on my build since it is a 12th gen with no igpu and from what I've checked, 10th gen is the latest that sidecar will work, but everything works on my build including: Imessage, Airdrop, Continuity, Handoff and this.. Sidecar! Really love it.
The reason why I built a hackintosh is to have an expandable memory in case I need to backup my mac and iphone, storage for video editing and doing mobile development also
I'm a silent reader here since 9 yrs ago but this is my first hackintosh success build. Thanks to this group
