(note: sometimes on startup the trackpad randomly clicks, just connect a usb mouse and reboot 1 0r 2 times)

MacOS not installing
Hey everyone. Im trying to hackingtosh my razer blade 14, 2017 with an i7-7700H and a 1060. I have been trying for around 2 weeks without being successful. I get some damn error whenever i boot into the USB. It says something along the lines of Macos boot files locked, i have added a picture. I have redone my efi folder around 5 times, just to make sure i had not broken something in the process. This lets the installer begin, and then it randomly freezes when formatting the ssd, or when its done installing, it reboots and then never actually lets me enter the installer. If anyone knows how to fix this, i would really appreciate your help.

Need help choosing SMBIOS
So, I've read Dortania's Guide. Followed it step by step. And I'm on the part of configuring the config.plist, I'm currently downloading the SMBIOS. BUT, there's a little problem, my hardware for better understanding:
CPU: Intel Core i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHzGPU: Intel HD Graphics 520RAM: 8GB 1600MHzMotherboard/Laptop model: Lenovo ThinkPad E460Audio Codec:
Conexant CX20753/4 @ Intel Sunrise Point-LP PCH - High Definition Audio Controller \[C1\]
Intel Skylake HDMI @ Intel Sunrise Point-LP PCH - High Definition Audio Controller [C1\]
Ethernet Card: Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V
WiFi/BT Card: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 AC HMC WiFi Adapter
With that in mind, since my Laptop isn't close to a MBAir, I chose to look for a MBP SMBIOS. And I've found two:
MacBookPro13,2: Iris 550 (13"). This one doesn't have dGPU.
MacBookPro13,3: HD 530/Radeon Pro 450 (15"). This one has the closest iGPU, but unlike my ThinkPad, it has dGPU.
Note: Both of them are for Skylake.
IDK how close would the Iris 550 from my HD 520. And I've read that if the SMBIOS supports dGPU it will try to use it, thing I can't do, because I don't have a dGPU.
I was thinking about choosing the one without dGPU, but I fear of it not making proper use of my real iGPU. What should I do? This is my very first Hack, and also my only device I can Hackintosh. So I really don't want to mess up something.

I'm making a Monterey Hackintosh. Should I leave it there, or is it a good idea to use OCLP to update to Ventura? (My ThinkPad can't run Sonoma, even with OCLP)

Since Big Sur and Monterey have nice success rates, and I like Monterey a lot, I chose to make my first Hackintosh a Monterey one. Someone told me that I could update to Ventura with OCLP, but being real, should I do that? I'm not a Stage Manager user, and since I don't have any other Apple product I wouldn't benefit from any Continuity feature. Still, I see some good reasons to update to Ventura, but I'm afraid of the performance it may have.
Do you think once my Hack works I should update to Ventura? Or I should stick with Monterey 12.7?

Kernal panic after applying Broadcom fixes for sonoma
I have facing issue with fenvi t919 after updating from ventura to sonoma then I have read the opencore github for broadcom fixes and I have applied all the steps mentioned in hackintosh notes (https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/pull/1077#issuecomment-1646934494) but after doing that my system getting kernal panic attack

I have a installation of win11 running on a machine with the folloving specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX - AMD B550 - AMD AM4 socket - DDR4 RAM - Mini-ITX
Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengean
I also have an extra m2-SSD that i'm not using at the moment.
Is it possibe to install Hackingtosh on that one wwithout having any affect at all on the current win11 installation?
And if so wht would the best way to go be?

Arm MacBooks aren't worth it imo
I've a Dell precision, the one equivalent to xps 15 9500, and I've been pondering on switching to a arm Mac and I just cannot see a good reason to do it. Those things don't run anything natively except Mac os. Virtualization is a mess too. Why would I virtualize arm windows which is like a pointless version of windows? I can't virtualize anything x86 either. Take away the good battery life on the arm Macs and it's not worth it.
I easily get 10 hrs and above doing light work on my Precision and an extra 3 or 4 hours will not make me change.
X86 will still be around for a long time imo.

I2C and/or CFG lock issues?
I am attempting to install (starting with Catalina) macOS on my HP Elitebook x360 1030 G3.
I used this guide to configure my BIOS, and built my EFI solo using ProperTree and deep research into my laptop's exact hardware. Yes, I painstakingly mapped my USB ports.
Down in the guide, the creator specifically mentions the CFG lock being an issue. I looked for an option to disable it, but found none. As per the guide, I used the "AppleXcpmCfgLock" kernel quirk and I think that is working okay. However, my new and current issue is this error message:AppleIntelLpssI2CController::_serviceMatchingTimeSubr: fTimerServiceMatching timed out, fnotifications 0
This points to the I2C controller.. which is like touchpad, touchscreen, keyboard?
Specifically the touchscreen had me suspicious with this error, and I was using the I2C driver of course. I tried disabling these devices in the BIOS and removing the Kext in the config.plist. This just cause an issue where it wouldn't detect peripherals. PS2 controller error.
Does anyone know a solution? Feel free to request any information (related to the hackintosh of course).

Sonoma iMessage and End to end encryption Issue
Did an almost completely perfect install of Sonoma from Ventura and while bluetooth being more finicky is one thing the inability to use the exact same iCloud and iMessage functions only in Ventura and below.Am using Intel WiFi card, have turned off Advanced data protection in iCloud.
Seeing so many successful updates, builds and Sonoma advances. Community is killing it but still somehow no one else seems to be experiencing this?

How to go back to original EFI?
I tried building a hackintosh on my Dell Latitude 7490. I changed the EFI folder in that process. The hackintosh didn’t work so I went back to Windows. Now my laptop won’t wake up from sleep (keyboard’s backlight is on but screen doesn’t turn on).
I don’t have a backup of the original EFI folder. I tried a clean install of Windows again with no luck. How can I fix this?

need help choosing a gpu (~40€)
i’m mainly looking on ebay, here’s a list of things the card must meet
(context: had a 5600XT, switched to a 3070 and need a second gpu to run macos Catalina)
- be amd, was thinking something like Radeon HD 6/7/8000
- must be low profile (i mean 1 slot maximum, otherwise won’t fit)
- 2GB+ of VRAM, under I’m worried it’s not enough. I won’t be gaming on this tho I want something at least decent too.
if it has these things it’s a bonus
- no power connector, just be powered by the PCIe slot
- no fans, ive already got enough fans in my pc and this card won’t be overheating anyways
- VGA, since my monitor has a spare input for that would be nice to use it
- works on Sonoma, even with OCLP
my budget is ~40€, again i don’t need anything fancy, i won’t be gaming on this card, if you’ve got any suggestions please tell me :)

Preventing random hard drive spin up?
Hey guys. First of all, not sure if this is truly a Hackintosh issue or MacOS issue in general. Running a Hackintosh using OpenCore, Big Sur, i5 9900K CPU, RX580, etc. My primary hard drives are M.2 SSD drives, but I do have a 2TB Western Digital 7200rpm storage drive that's attached to back up all of my music projects onto. I don't use the drive much except for backups or randomly accessing it like once every few weeks. However, I can hear the drive spin up randomly a couple times an hour. Not the worst problem in the world, but kind of annoying, especially when I'm trying to record with microphones.
Aside from jumping to a 2TB SSD drive, anyone have any pointers about limiting spin-up?
