No open core in boot menu
Hi everyone, I am trying to install open core Ventura on my HP Probook 470 G7 with i7-10510U, I followed all the steps but at part when I reset nvram and return to boot menu there isn’t opencore option, it’s just my win10 ssd, second ssd where I plan to put macOS and flash drive. I then choose the flash drive and install macOS, but then I can only boot it with flash drive.
Should I try the older version of macOS?

Fresh Ventura Install - Is USBInjectAll Still needed? How about Skylake to KabyLake spoof?
Hi, I have working Catalina system with GA Z170X UD5, i7-6700k, Radeon RX480. I don't have windows on any of the drives. I am trying to create Open Core installer from the Catalina system and then install Ventura to a new NVMe M.2 SSD drive.
I am following https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide.

Some questions:
1. I have Archer T4U V3.2 USB - this is what I use for wifi on Catalina. Will this ever work in Ventura?
2. I also have Fenzi T919 - this is PCI wifi card that I am not using but would like to use if I can't get the USB wifi card to work. Any tips here? The above linked guide doesn't seem to suggest I need anything.
3. Regarding my RX480. As I understand this should work without kexts or anything, provided I have the lilu and whatevergreen kexts. But now on to the skylake-Kabylake spoof question...
4. Spoofing SkyLake to KabyLake. What does this amount to? Just specifying 18.3 as system in symbios? Or is there something else to add in config.plist, or a boot arg or something? I just want to make sure the iGPU is available for use if needed.
5. USB mapping: wow there is so much info on this. Really not clear what I should do. In hackintool I see attached. USB works fine on this Catalina system and just not sure if I need to do anything regarding USB. When I read the info about USBToolBox it seems to suggest that you do the mapping from windows. I don't have windows. So am trying to figure out what I should be doing, and whether I need to use USBInjectAll.

Prohibitory symbol screen after installation (Sonoma)
I've followed Dortania's guide, made an EFI, and tried installing Sonoma(14.3) on my laptop. The installation process went smoothly until it was done and the system rebooted, I got the support.apple.com/mac/startup screen with a prohibitory symbol.
I searched around online and tried many config.plist edits but it still won't boot. But somehow when I replaced the EFI on boot USB with the backup of the EFI folder that I used on the last successful boot into the installation, the system booted successfully into macOS. I then went through the setup process and finally got to the desktop for the first time, after that I restarted the system to see if it would boot again and it didn't. Now I'm stuck with the prohibitory symbol screen.

I am currently running MacOS ventura with an Intel Core i5 6300U CPU. I wanted to upgrade to MacOS sonoma but I can't as apple official website says I'm using a 2017 macbook pro. which is not supported. someone guide me how can I easiily install sonoma by spoofing my hardware. Problem when installing OS X Snow Leopard
"I decided to give up and look for some help"
I am trying to install OS X Snow Leopard into a HD that i had forgotten it existed in my table behind my monitor. I decide to install this specifically obsolete version just for fun and purposes of tests.

I have two pendrivers and "TransMac" installed in my windows. I
used TransMac in both pendrivers to "place" both iboot.iso and snow leopard.iso that i had find in archive.org
​
When i try to boot with the iboot driver, i get stucked into a black screen with a single and solitary underscore blinking. Very similar to a terminal screen.

This is my setup:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 (Ivy Bridge)
UEFI support: yes, i have and use it
Graphics Chipset: Intel HD Graphics 2500 (Yes, the integrated graphics chip)

Need help for Samsung NP550P5C-S02IN Display
Hello Everyone,
I own an old Samsung NP550P5C-S02IN for which I followed dortania.github.io and created an EFI.
I have two issues, would be great if someone can help!

The first issue:
The external display does not work for me, not sure why and the internal display has a grey tint. I can control the brightness but the max brightness is not enough to view the display for long hours.
Tried searching but could not find a solution.
​
Second Issue:
I feel doing something wrong, I am able to boot via an external HDD but when I copy the EFI to my internal HDD EFI partition, somehow the partition does not show up in the UEFI boot menu or the BIOS.

On my hackintosh fcp export is very slow, using msi rx 6800xt it takes 32 minutes to export a 20 minute file. When I export the same file to my other hackintosh using 6600xt, it takes only 14 minutes to export. help me bro

Help with wifi on my first hackintoth
After a lot (in fact, a looooooooot) of reading, following YouTube tutorials, and some hits and misses, I've managed to build EFI from scratch (by following Dortania's guide), and successfully install macOS Sonoma on my PC.
**Specs:**
* i5 13600K
* Rog Strix B760-A Wifi D4
* RX6600
HOWEVER, I couldn't make my mobo's Bluetooth and Wifi (Intel AX211) work -- and I don't have ethernet cable available where the computer stays.
I've tried AirportItlwm (stable and alpha), but nothing happened. With Itlwm, the system din't even finish booting. I've also tried installing Ventura instead, but the same errors happened. For Intel Bluetooth, I've used BlueToolFixup, IntelBluetoothFirmware and IntelBTPatcher - and nothing happened.

Legacy/Duet: no ESP on HDD detected
I've been trying to use the Duet forks of both OpenCore and Clover not only for hackintoshing but also to boot Windows in UEFI mode on an old Dell PC with an existing but faulty UEFI implementation. OpenCore displays no Windows boot entry even though Windows is installed and when booting OpenCore through native UEFI, it does show Windows and on the Clover stick that I created with BootDiskUtility, if I check under boot from file, it shows no devices to select a filesystem to boot a file from. I think that this might be related to why I could never boot the macOS recovery

I can’t add the kexts to opencore configurator
Hi guys,
I’m trying to add the kexts to the kernel section in opencore but when I drag them in the kernel folder they “go back” to the Uefi kexts folder. I even tried to add them with the scan/Browse button on opencore configurator but they appear grey and I can’t do nothing with them. Picker not shown
I've got a complete working installation of MacOS Ventura on OC 0.9.8, but the Picker does not show when booting. Picker was shown before install, but has since disappeared. I've tried enabling/disabling/removing/updating Opencanopy , fresh rebuild of EFI in OC 0.9.7 and 0.9.8, set PickerVariant to Builtin/Auto, changed show/hide picker, changed timeout, EFI on thumb drive/SSD, all with no luck. When Opencanopy is enabled, I receive
OCUI:Failed to load images
OC: External interface failure, fallback to builtin- Unsupported
Then black screen with functioning picker
With Opencanopy disabled, I still get a black screen with a functioning picker.

Got tapped to help code for a unity project on ios at work... all our desktops are winPC. Need to build a test environment so I don't have to hunt down one guy with the phone being developed on, borrow it, and all that logistical nightmare.
Yes, I know, this is far, far from efficient or a pro operation.
Anywho, to build the test environment I was thinking of a virtual hackintosh lite, prepackaged with xcode and unity on the image. I havet touched macOS since the big blue CRT box days, so need some guidance.

Stuck on OpenCore boot Alienware Area 51 R2
Hi everyone,
I am trying to get my Alienware Area 51 R2 working again with mac os.
Config:
\- Alienware Area 51 R2
\- X99 chipset
\- Intel Xeon E5 2683 v4 16c 32v previously Intel i7 5930k
\- MSR E2 disabled
\- 32 GB RAM DDR4 non-ECC 2400Mhz
\- AMD Radeon VII GPU
Context:
Before upgrading my CPU, I was able to boot onto Windows and Mac Os Monterey without any problems.
But since I have changed the CPU, Windows working without any problem but it's impossible for me to boot onto Mac OS again.
I tried a lot of differents configurations, getting back to clover, building a new opencore efi from scratch, modifying bios settings ...
Nothing change.
I hope i've missed something obvious that you can point to.

Realistically how hard is to port realtek WiFi driver to macos?
It is certainly possible, because Intel WiFi driver was ported from linux open source drivers and it is pretty stable now. I have a lot experience in programming, but not low level. Is it even worth starting it?
