Need help with EFI, nothing seems to be working
Using Ryzen 5 7530U with 2GB Vega 7, on a ThinkBook 16G6 ABP.
Used ChefKiss AMD guide, then finished with Dortania's.

RX 480 4Gb beats RX 6900 XT 16Gb?
Hey everybody!
Im new here and started working on my hackintosh setup a few months ago.
But when I swapped my RX 480 to RX 6900 XT I got worse fps in LoL.

The screen of my t480 always freezes when the installer hits 13-12 minutes.
I have no idea why, it isn't "Stuck at 2 minutes remaining" how u/PetrosSdoukos told me. I searched for the issue, and have no idea why it is happening at all

I just installed Sequoia and tried to patch it, but I kept getting an error. I read a post that there are no patches yet for OCLP, so I installed another patch from Dortania and it gave me acceleration, but my monitor...With integrated audio, it used to detect it (DP) and now it doesn't.

FIXED Sleep on ivy bridge Sequoia :)
hellooo, after finally spending months on this lol, I fixed sleep on my ivy bridge pavilion DV6-7070ex. I had to disable the internal Webcam as it was literally the main issue. but issues aside, it actually sleeps pretty well and does not wake up once!! it only drained about 2% in 10 Hours of it being sleeping.

as you see, in the first picture, There is no webcam detected !! In the second picture you see neofetch with the uptime being 12 Hours !! (haven't seen that since august loll)). it's honestly Very good to see!
The only issue I encountered is that the first time it sleeps, I left it for a little too long and I later opened it and rebooted and showed me a panic, being the cause is IONetworking Not sure why, But also IOHID and VoodooPS/2 trackpad ??? it never happened after that one first time...

interestingly, on Sonoma if I would leave it asleep for more than 20 Hours, it would restart and Kernel panic with an unknown thread reason, That was only on Sonoma. not Sequoia, I have yet to test Tahoe to see if any issues arise (waiting for OCLP 3.0.0).

Need help with amd cpu and b550 motherboard - hacintosh
hello guys , i am new at hackintosh , I want to run mac os for development as I can't afford a Mac right now .
I want to use Mac for xcode , android studio , emulators and iOS simulators, I was able to install ventura on my amd pc ,
reading from open core docs ,
I was not able to install sequoia ,
please tell me the best macos for development and help me build efi .
my pc spec are -
motherboard -- msi b550m pro vdh wifi .
cpu - amd Ryzen 5 5600x .
gpu -- asrock rx 6600xt challenge oc.
please help me with this . the b550 and amd cpu combo is giving me hard time installing ..
any help we be very much appreciated.

UB-400 isn’t working
My bluetooth isn’t fully working on Sonoma with the UB-400 dongle, it searches for devices but cannot connect to my airpods that showed up. In bluetooth system configuration shows up as third party dongle because i set the nvram flags. Using bluetoolfixup and IntelBluetooth kexts. Thanks in advance!

T480s Success! But need help with WPA2 Enterprise (AirportItlwm) and Sleep issues (XDCI)
I’ve successfully Hackintoshed my Lenovo ThinkPad T480s with your help using this guide: https://github.com/felikafelix/Hackintosh-Thinkpad-T480s/?tab=readme-ov-file. It’s working really well, and I'm currently connecting to Wi-Fi using HeliPort.
However, I have two lingering concerns:
1. Wi-Fi & WPA2 Enterprise My first issue is connecting to my work network, which uses WPA2 Enterprise authentication. I realized that the HeliPort client doesn't support this method. I want to switch to the AirportItlwm kext to solve this, but I've read the Dortania guide and the installation steps aren't clear to me. Could anyone guide me on the proper way to switch from HeliPort/itlwm to AirportItlwm?
2. Sleep/Wake Loops My second issue is sleep. When I select "Sleep" from the menu, the screen turns off and the LED blinks once, but then the laptop immediately turns back on.

I’m facing a very specific and reproducible issue with my Hackintosh setup and would appreciate insights from anyone who has experience with Rocket Lake power management or inverter/UPS behavior.

CPU: Intel Core i7-11700F (Rocket Lake, 8C/16T)
Motherboard: Gigabyte H510H
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 560 (4 GB)
RAM: DDR4 (XMP disabled for testing)
Storage: Samsung EVO NVMe SSD
PSU: Ant Esports VS600L (works fine on grid)
Power Source: Home inverter (offline type, simulated sine wave)
# 🧪 macOS Details
macOS: Sequoia
Bootloader: OpenCore (latest)
SMBIOS: Macmini8,1 (also tested others)
XCPM: Enabled
GPU Acceleration: Working perfectly
# ❗ Problem Description
System works 100% stable on grid power
System works 100% stable on Windows (both grid & inverter)
Only macOS reboots instantly when power switches from grid → inverter
No kernel panic screen (hard reset)
Reboot happens within seconds of inverter takeover
Happens even at idle (not load-related)
This behavior is 100% reproducible.
# ✅ Control Test (Very Important)
The same PSU + same inverter + same GPU with different CPU/motherboard works flawlessly:
# Working Hackintosh on Inverter
CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F (Comet Lake)
Motherboard: Gigabyte H410H
GPU: AMD RX 560
macOS: Same version
Result: No reboot, completely stable
➡️ This strongly suggests a Rocket Lake–specific power management issue under macOS.
# ❓ What I’m Looking For
I’d really appreciate help from anyone who has:
Successfully run Rocket Lake Hackintosh on inverter / UPS
Insight into Rocket Lake XCPM behavior
Any undocumented OpenCore quirks, BIOS tricks, or CPUFriend tuning
Experience with offline / simulated sine wave UPS issues on macOS
# 🧩 Final Notes
I understand Hackintosh is unsupported and power quality matters, but the fact that:
Windows works
Comet Lake Hackintosh works
Same PSU & inverter works
…suggests this is not just “bad power”, but something macOS-specific with Rocket Lake.
Any technical insight would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Prohibited Symbol when booting macOS Tahoe 26.2 Installer – Need help
Hi everyone,
I’m stuck trying to upgrade my Hackintosh to **macOS Tahoe 26.2** and could really use some help.
# My current status
* **OpenCore:** 1.0.6
* **Current macOS:** 15.5 (working perfectly)
* **Hardware:**
* CPU: i5-13400F
* Motherboard: ASUS Prime B760M-K D4
* GPU: RX 6600
* Wi-Fi/Bluetooth: BCM94360CS2
* SSD NVme Lexar NM620
* 1x SSD sata3 and 1x HDD (no need to use in macos)
# Issue 1 – OTA Update
* I tried updating to **macOS Tahoe 26.2 via OTA**
* The update downloads fine
* But at the **“Boot macOS Installer”** stage, I get a **🚫 Prohibited Symbol**
* No kernel panic, just stops there
# Issue 2 – USB Installer
* I created a USB installer using **InstallAssistant.pkg**
* Booting `Install macOS Tahoe` from USB
* The boot process stops and exits at **AppleAHCI HBA** (screenshot attached below)
