Managed to get Sonoma working perfectly with my RX6700XT and R5 2600. If you're using NootRX please remember to disable the kext in propertree before installation. The documentation does not specify this super important detail.

MacOS recommendation for laptop
Hello, I've been using Ventura on my Laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad 11e 5th generation) for the past couple of days and I love it. Everything works well but I've noticed theres some lag here and there... I've fixed all of the graphics stuff (framebuffers, platform-id, etc.) but it still manages to lag. My conclusion is that my laptop may be a bit weak for Ventura, so I decided to head to this subreddit and ask for your help. Can you recommend me a MacOS thats gonna suit my laptop the best?

Intel m3-7Y30 (2 cores / 4 threads at 1.0 GHz, 2.6 GHz boost)

difficulty selecting smbios for my pc (i5-4460 with hd4000)(sonoma)
Hi!, So I am on the stage of platform info on config and ive done everything else without issue, then it states "for setting up the SMBIOS info, we'll use CorpNewt's application" thats what part im at. and for the image above thats how I setup that then on the part that I mention how it was using a haswell with a dedicated cpu. which first that was a problem because I would have to redo that part (not a super big problem) and then a note says only supported to mac os 11 which is a bigger problem, because im trying to install mac os 14 not 11. next note 2 says all of them were dropped in ventura it says to use Kaby Lake SMBIOS so I click on that and find a list of the supported SMBIOS and none of them seem to support what version I want with my generation and cpu. but ive seen on here sonoma working with my cpu but like a different gpu. How would I go about this id rather not switch to a older version but do i have to do that? Am i not reading it right and I am supported? Do I have to buy a dedicated gpu? how difficult is that and the other options? Thank you and apologies for my bad english.

Intel NUC5i3RYB
Hi there!
I'm trying to find info on how to turn one of my old NUC's into a Hackintosh, but I'm not finding info anywhere. My NUC model is the NUC5i3RYB with BIOS RYBDWi35.86A.0249.2015.0529.1640 (the latest BIOS I could find).
Does anybody have a guide they can point me to? I've seen lots of guides for other NUC's (different generations, different processors), but I'm assuming I would need info specifically for my model.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi. How did you install your Hackintosh. Because me My Hackintosh has been made with ol@ril@ iso and it’s very slow on boot(2.93 min). I think it’s a custom Mac OS iso. But I don’t have any MacBook to download a legit iso of Big Sur . Should I use the recovery mode to install it ?

I've tried MOS, Mac Mouse Fix, Linear Mouse to get smooth scroll but all have same issue, for sometime it works so smooth and sometimes it feels choppy, hardware acceleration is working too...
do u guys also face this issue or is it only me

Trying to install sequoia beta 6, gets an error loop
As the title states, I cannot get into the installer. It seems to be in an error loop, and I repeatedly see these errors. Specs are Ryzen 7700X, RX 7900 GRE, 32GB RAM, MSI 650p wifi mb, I don't really care about the wifi though, just ethernet. Here is the efi file I used. Is it safe to log into my Apple ID on my hackintosh?
I had my hackintosh for about a month now and I want to try to make the most out of it by using the features. From the research that I have done, I heard that you should be able to sign in safely if your serial number can be found on the Apple device covergage page. Which mine does not because if I search it the box will tell me to enter a valid serial number. Anyways would it be safe to sign in to my account or should I make a brand new account to use it?

Errors after selecting the installation drive in opencore picker. HELP!

GPU: Sapphire Nitro + SE RX 590
Hello guys, i have this pc and i followed, step by step, all the tutorial in the dortania's website, but whenever i click the drive to open the installer of MacOS Sonoma, it just crashes seconds after while giving me a lot of errors and it reboots back to windows.
I don't know what's the problem but now i will link the zipped EFI folder and the txt file that opencore generated. I also tried to use the Ventura installer, but still the same error occurs.
