SMBIOS CHANGE
Hi all,
I have an acer aspire f15 core i7 7500U and have sequoia beta 6 install with SMBIOS IMACPro1,1.
I was wondering if the performance would be better if i switched to MacBookPro14,1 SMBIOS as it is much nearer to my laptop's requirements.
My concerns are :
- How can i update the SMBIOS on my working Hackintosh without breaking iservices?
- SMBIOS MacBookPro14,1 does not support sequoia, is there any additional things i will need to do?
Can someone help me with the above, I'm a bit confused on how to proceed without breaking my machine as it is my daily driver machine.

I finally did it, Dell G5 5590, macOS Sonoma and Windows 11 on the same drive, external WiFi USB, still can't fix bluetooth so any hint will be very appreciated and I need a free app to access NTFS drives. overall I'm satisfied with the result.

Android Studio Issues, Help!
Hi everyone,
I'm running a Hackintosh with the following specs:
* CPU: Intel i7-14700K
* GPU: AMD RX 480
* OS: macOS Ventura (Hackintosh)
I'm having trouble running the Android Emulator in Android Studio. Every time I try to launch the emulator, it crashes with errors related to hardware acceleration, mentioning HVF and HAXM issues. I've tried various fixes, including disabling certain CPU features and running the emulator with software acceleration, but nothing seems to work.
The emulator either fails to initialize or crashes shortly after starting. Has anyone else faced similar issues on a Hackintosh with recent Intel processors? Any advice or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

how to make a macos installer bootdrive on windows?
I have obtained a macos ventura 13.3.1.pkg from a friend online, but i dont know how to create a bootable installer using the package on windows. I have the efi and its ready but i cant use the online installer because my efi doesnt support any version newer than 13..3.1 and frankly i dont need a newer version atm (im lazy) so is it possible to create an installer offline on windows?

I am running a Hackintosh on a UHD G1, and I've been experiencing an issue where my screen remains black after waking from sleep. Fortunately, I came across SSDT-DWAK, which helped me resolve the problem. I'm curious if anyone knows how it works and can explain the underlying principles. I would like to understand it better.

Acer Spin 5 SP513-53N-55W9 issues booting
Hi all,
I have had some issues booting into the installer on my friend's Acer Spin 5. While booting into the macOS Sonoma online installer, it boots but then hangs on "BuildActDeviceEntry exit" after complaining about a trackpad issue with I2C. What could I do to fix this issue? Sorry but I currently can't provide the logs as I don't have the laptop currently but I will provide them as soon as possible, thanks for your understanding.

I bought a 4K monitor, but my Hackintosh doesn't support 4K resolution, only 1440p.
I've tried several solutions, including HiDPI, RDM, and BetterDisplay, but none of them worked.
Is there no solution for this issue? Should I consider buying a new monitor?

HELP! DUAL GPU QUESTIONS, RTX 2070/RX 580
CPU: i7 14700K
GPU1: RTX 4070 (for Windows)
GPU2: RX 580 (for macOS)
RAM: 32Gb
Mb: Asus prime b760m-a wifi d4
I managed to install macOS and disable the RTX GPU, and everything works perfectly there, but I’ve encountered a couple of issues.
Issue 1:
How can I completely disable the RX 580 in Windows? I’ve already disabled it in the Device Manager, but the fans are still spinning, which is really annoying. I’d like to find a way to completely turn it off in Windows.
Issue 2:
Every time I switch between systems, I need to manually change the display cable from one GPU to the other, which is quite inconvenient. I tried connecting two cables to my monitor—an HDMI to the RTX 4070 and a DisplayPort to the RX 580—but this didn’t work as planned. It seems that during boot, the system gets confused about which GPU to use, forcing me to disconnect the cable from the unused GPU and restart the computer.
Question:
Is there a way to set up the system so that Windows automatically uses the RTX GPU on boot and macOS uses the RX GPU, or is there another solution to simplify this setup so I don't have to constantly switch cables? It’s quite cumbersome.

Help with TeraScale 2 graphics acceleration on Big Sur
Hello guys, I'm having some troubles with enabling graphics acceleration on a Sapphite HD6950 2gb with OpenCore Legacy Patcher. So, as you can see on the screenshot, I'm running Big Sur with that hardware and the MacPro6,1 SMBIOS. The main problem is that OCLP reports no root patches available for my system, while here is reported that "AMD TeraScale 2: HD 5XXX-6XXX" cards are supported. I had no luck on the internet besides some success posts. I also tried to boot with the -wegnoigpu and -wegswitchgpu flags, but still, no luck. Thank you in advance for any tip you have. Graphical glitches and panics when using Firefox
Hello!
I have a problem with my Hackintosh: When I open some apps (mainly Firefox, Minecraft, and some more), sometimes it completely glitches out like this. The glitch changes constantly if I start moving my mouse. Sometimes the OS starts lagging or even panics (usually page fault, sometimes general protection and sometimes it says invalid frame pointer).
This usually happens when I open it, but sometimes just randomly. Sometimes my keyboard and USB mouse got disabled, but the trackpad (I2C) kept working. Usually it can be solved by closing the window (but not the whole app - that doesn't fix it) and reopening it, but sometimes I don't even have the chance to do so because it panics without even showing the app window.
Oh and this only happens after a full shutdown and boot (but even then, not always), and rarely after a macOS restart. If I restart from Windows (and possibly Linux) it happens.
I've tried some things to fix it, like removing these lines from the PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) DeviceProperties entry (as I have 64mb DVMT pre-alloc):
framebuffer-patch-enable: 01000000
framebuffer-stolenmem: 00003001
framebuffer-fbmem: 00009000
force-online: 01000000
After removing these the system kept running like usual, including this problem.
I also set enable-dbuf-early-optimizer to 01000000 in deviceproperties, which did not solve the problem.
Apple GPU firmware is enabled (Apple GuC, igfxfw=2), and the rps control patch is also enabled. But when these weren't enabled the problem was also present, I only use this to boost performance and fix DRM.
Laptop: Dell G15 5510
iGPU: Comet Lake UHD 630
Laptop display: 1920x1080@120Hz
CPU: Intel Core i7-10870H
I first noticed this with macOS 14.3 (I think), now I'm on 14.6.1 (OTA update from a clean install of 14.5, where I also had this problem).
RAM doesn't have problems, and this only happens in macOS. Not in Windows or Linux.

NEED HELP - Do someone actually succeed Hackintoshing my setup ? - (Dell G15 5510 w/ i5 10500h & GTX1650)

I used to run MacOS Catalina on this exact setup without any issue: Got intel wireless card working, disabled NVIDIA card using "-wegnoepu" flag, got intel HD630 working flaswlessly and used bluetooth working with my intel card bluetooth & AirPods.
Got tired of W11 bullcrap so i'm tryna go MacOS route, once again, without breaking the bank. I'm trying to install MacOS Sonoma, but will be good with MacOS Ventura. I just wanna test those out before buying a real macbookpro.
Do someone actually succeed at hackintoshing my laptop ? And if so, could you share your EFI so i can compare ?

Stuck at apple logo, empty progress bar and can hear voice assistant in the background. macOS High Sierra

USB intermittent cut-off
Hi. I have a running Ryzen based hackintosh system which I've been using since 2020. I am upgrading the OS, Opencore and the kexts with new versions coming.
I have my SSDT's built with SSDTTime, USB Map kext made with Corpnewt's USB Mapping script. I have my external hard drives, MIDI keyboard, a sound card and a Logitech keyboard and mouse connected to USB ports of my computer.
There is no problems with the hard drives. But my keybaord-mouse and sound cards are like "stuttering" occasionally. Sound is coming off for a second. Music playback continues where it left off. Or sometimes I can't move my mouse or type any key for a second.
Have anyone have a problem like this? Any suggestions or something to look up? Thank you.

Dead ethernet ports after changing routter
Hi everyone.
I was instaling a sonoma instalation on a friend PC, everything working perfectly fine on my house, but after changing to my friend routter, The 2 ethernet ports stopped working, even o Windows 11, ports dont show any sign of life.
Is this a hardware problem or Just a Config issues?

Can I Hackintosh My Dell Latitude 5520 with an Intel i5-1135G7?
Hi everyone,
I need to know whether I can Hackintosh my Dell Latitude 5520, which has an Intel i5-1135G7 processor. If it's possible, which version of macOS would be the best? I'm looking to balance between the latest macOS version and performance (at least macOS Big Sur). I have some experience with OpenCore and Hackintosh because I Hackintoshed my previous laptop (Got lot of errors). I'm asking because this is a new laptop I bought from eBay. Lost USB sound after upgrading to Sonoma
My hackintosh is based on an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z690 FORMULA m/b that has an integrated USB sound. For a few years, integrated and external USB sound worked without any issues on previous versions of macOS with using OpenCore and AppleALCU. But after upgrading to Sonoma there is no more USB sound, internal or external. My USB sound devices are visible in a IoRegistryExplorer tree but that's all. Current macOS, OC and kext versions are actual.

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 550X (It is a LEXA so it needed some spoofing)
MB: Biostar A320MH 2.0GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 2666Mhz

It runs buttery smooth. No major issues so far. It took a few hours to setup but it's running. I might try to daily drive it for a bit because I never had a Mac.

How to install Open Core Legacy Patcher on an ISO or GT710.
Config: Pentium G4560, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GT710.
The computer is functioning well with macOS Monterey (12), using an updated Opencore.
This week, I’m trying to install macOS Ventura (13).
I can install it, but when the computer starts to boot for the first time, it gives an error with libgnition.
I have tried adding some arguments like nv_disable=1 and -igfxonln=1, but I was not successful in booting in VESA mode (basic without graphics acceleration).
Any tips on how I can solve this problem?
Is there an ISO of macOS with OCLP already installed?

Hello all, any help with the following would be GREATLY appreciated. I have spent every second of my free time for the last month trying to get this fresh build to work, I have a used thunderbolt card sitting in the box from ebay because getting to that point still seems like an eternity from now, if it ever comes....
I have attached logs via opencore verbose /debug. I have a working hack that is also comet lake 10th gen, its a i7 NUC that works great but wanted /need to upgrade core count for auDIO production.
I have followed the opencore guide, I have tried various versions of big sur, 11.2 up to the 11.7. that is installed on my samsung 990 pro w/heatsink NVME
I actually got big sur installed via recovery, but i have never made it to the "Setup your mac screen" - i am stuck in a boot loop that will not progress no matter what I try. I work 60+ hours a week and have a brand new kiddo, so I am at the point where I have spent sooooo many hours doing this that I could have done 10000 other things, its getting to the point of selling out to paid help. I don't want to give in, I am hoping somebody here can help.
Before you ask , I haven't been able to usb map so used a kext mapping from the same board via efi on line. I know it sucks but I have no other operating system on the ssd and cant make it into macOS to map.
I would love to hear any good ideas from the community, I admit i am no expert at all, and am hoping for some relief. Attached are logs, + efi
Whatever other info would be good to know - please ask and I will do my best to provide, I Am surely leaving crucial info out..
