My 14th Gen 14700k hit permanent damage
Yup, just like they said. It was so odd, everything ran fine like a week ago.
Then I saw the news that the 14th gens are dying. and right after I read the news, it started crashing. so weird.
But it's doing it for sure. Hackintosh was running buttery smooth until just this week, now it gets random log outs, restarts, freezes.
Exactly as it says in the news articles - things that ran fine before, now crashing.
Just thought to share as I've mained Mac over the past 9 years or so. Otherwise, the 14th gen has been great. As fast as Apple Silicon, just not as quiet hahaha

Will Hackintoshes run on Intel mobile CPUs after 10th gen??
I'm genuinely curious about this topic. I currently have Dell Inspiron 3593 with Intel Core i3 1005G1 (10th gen, Ice Lake) which is running macOS Ventura with SMBIOS MacBook Air 9,1. Since the last MacBook with intel chip was 2020 model which had Intel 10th gen chip, what are the new SMBIOSes that support like 11th, 12th gen or later? If u guys had succeeded hackintoshing on 11th gen or later drop some tips to let everyone know too.

Ventura to Sonoma. Is it worth it?
Hi all, im currently running opencore i9-13900k on z790 board, paired with 6800xt. All running okay except for sleep, bt, wifi(need to use heliport) and usb-c going crazy (usb port disabled due to overcurrent).
Now i hv time to sort all this, together with upgrading to sonoma with latest opencore update, and adding thunderboltex4 card (mb hv tb header). So i would like to seek any advice from u guys and tips to clear all this issue altogether.

I have never made a Hackintosh before and am pondering if it's worth doing for a Music Production system with Cubase 13 and updated recent plugins, or if i should just stick to Windows 10?

insufficient space on EFI
I am trying to move files off my EFI USB drive to the local disk but it is saying I do not have sufficient space and I tried to empty the recycle bin but there's nothing in there and there are no hidden items. Is there a way to expand the EFI partition on the local disk or are there any tools that can help me figure out what my issue is?

Dual Hackintosh (Big Sur + Ventura)
Recently I did some upgrades to my computers; while doing this, I also changed my macOS system organization, and now I have two Hackintosh systems. Neither of the two aren't my first hack (that is now my main PC, that install was wiped last year); but rather my second and third hack respectively.
Second Hack specs:
* Manufacturer and Model: HP 14s-fq0015nl
* Motherboard: HP 87B7
* BIOS revision: AMI F.52
* CPU: AMD 3020e
* GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 3 (working with NootedRed)
* Storage: 128 GB Ventura SSD (and also 500GB Sonoma and Sequoia HDD plugged via USB whenever I need/want it)
* RAM: 8 GB
* Ethernet Card: None
* Wireless Card: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 (from my first hack)
* Audio Codec: ALC236
* macOS Version: Ventura 13.6.9 (22G830)
* Touchpad: Synaptics I2C
Issues:
* SD card reader not working
* No Continuity features
* Dead keyboard after sleep
* Broken F9 key so no BIOS/UEFI boot menu
* Very low battery life (around 1600 mAh effective capacity)

* CPU: Intel Core i3-4030U
* GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4400
* Storage: 128 GB SSD (77.7 GB Big Sur, 50 GB 8.1, 200 MB EFI partition)
* RAM: 4 GB
* Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL8111
* Wireless Card: Qualcomm Atheros AR9565
* Audio Codec: ALC233 (detected and works, but speakers so low that it's like it doesn't work)
* macOS Version: Big Sur 11.7.10 (20G1427)
* Touchpad: ASUS PS/2 touchpad
Issues:
* Unable to change brightness unless I change screen resolution
* Trackpad being detected as mouse
* No Continuity features
* Very, very low audio
Both systems are actually very usable; the Hackintosh upgrade on the first laptop in particular was actually a game-changer compared to the Windows 11 Canary build I had installed on it until a couple days ago. On the AMD laptop, the internal disk is detected thanks to a patched SATA-unsupported.kext binary. Made the EFIs some time ago following Dortania guide for AMD (1st system) and Haswell (2nd system).

Hackintosh Boot issue
So i wanted to downgrade my hackintosh from monterey to big sur, so i returned to windows and formatted the USB and the SSD macos was on. I flashed macos big sur and the EFI files to the USB, but I dont see the correct EFI partition USB in the boot menu, I see Windows boot manager and opencore, and when I click opencore, it sends me to Windows. The USB Usually shows as "UEFI: USB". When I choose the original name of the USB (LEXAR FLASH DRIVE 16GB) it says "Insert a bootable USB and reboot, or press a key to try again" or something like that. It will only work if I choose "UEFI: USB" Which does not show up. Weird because this worked with Monterey, until I formatted the ssd and usb. I tried doing Monterey again, same issue. I can't get rid of this stupid OpenCore boot option, I even used the tool in cmd. No luck. Someone please help this is driving me insane.
If you were wondering why I wanted to use big sur, it's because I figured it would be more stable than Monterey. Monterey was smooth, but still decently laggy. I figured big sur would be more stable, as it was released during that "Intel to apple silicon" era of Mac's.
Things I've tried:
BIOS update
CMOS clear
Using Clover instead of OpenCore
bcdedit in CMD
I am using a Gigabyte motherboard from 2012.
I have Vd-t enabled, I tried again form scratch with it disabled, but no luck
Virtualization is on
AHCI is on
Pretty much all my settings are fine.
I am not using Ventura or above because those will be unstable, I do not have the sufficient USB drive storage, and Ventura did not install when I tried it. I want to use Monterey and under and I am fine with returning to Monterey.

Mac Installer reboots computer
Hi,
I've created a USB drive with OpenCore and was able to boot it and use DIsk Utility to format my drive and then install macOS. After booting once again into the USB drive, I saw a new option called "Mac Installer". I picked it and it executed a bunch of code until finally rebooting the computer. This reboot happens whenever I run the Mac Installer command.
My computer is a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop with Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3050 Ti. I've created an SSDT to disable the RTX GPU and I use NootedRed.kext to get the iGPU to work. I also use the AMD specific kext SMCProcessorAMD.kext. I've also added the AMD Vanilla patch found here to the Kernel -> Patch section in the config.plist file: AMD-OSX/AMD\_Vanilla: Native AMD macOS via OpenCore (github.com)
As for the SMBIOS, I used MacBookPro16,3 which seems to be the recommended option for my laptop.

Will support for 11th gen+ ever exist?
It’s been 4 years since apple moved to apple silicon and we already in 14th gen, will it ever be possible for 11th gen+ GPU support by spoofing to 10th gen?
Currently this is the only reason I don’t actively use hackintosh, and my dedicated GPU isn’t supported too

Installing macOS on a non apple device (hackintosh newbie)
Hello everyone, my dad has an old notebook which he´d like to have mac on for a future switch to a full apple environment. So he gave me the task to smash it on, which led me to this subreddit.
Can someone tell me if its "easy to install" on a non apple product and if its even worth to install.

I have finally fixed the low OpenCL Geekbench score on my RX 570 on Sonoma
I had successfully installed Sonoma on my but problem I was facing was getting low OPENCL score but my metal scores are same as in my Windows. So I searched and finally found a solution . I am posting this so if anyone stucked getting low OpenCL scores on their RX 570/580/RX6600/XT gpus can try this.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: AMD RX 570 4GB
Mobo: Gigabyte A320M-S2H
RAM: 16GB DDR4
SSD: ADATA SU650 240GB Sata(My windows is on M.2 drive seperate)

I changed the algrey - _mtrr_update_action fix PAT from true to false
and the Shaneee - _mtrr_update_action fix PAT from false to true on kernel/patches.
Those are the [20\] & [21\] in config.plist > Kernel > Patches.
And that's it now I am getting same scores as in my Windows and everything working smooth.

OpenCore immediately reboot after boot

I’m new here! I followed the OpenCore guide like everyone says and booted to the USB. I filmed in slowmo the boot logs because i don’t know where the logs are lol. I sure can upload the logs if you guys tell me where they are :) bc I think YouTube's quality is not really good haha.

Extremely low BCM94360NG speeds on Sonoma (NSS 1/Tx Rate: 434mbps), was once fixed by a clean reinstall but I reinstalled it again 3 times and never was able to replicate it. All of the kexts, AMD patches and OCLP are updated to their nightly versions.
