Hackintosh/OS recommendation?
Considering installing hackintosh, 99% of the time I’ll be gaming. I have a really powerful PC and I’ll list the specs and things I can live without since that seems to be a thing based on other threads I’ve lurked:
-GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
-CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K 14-Cores 3.5GHz
-MOBO: MSI MPG Z790I EDGE WiFi DDR5
-SD: Corsair Force Series MP600 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, No RAID
-Memory: 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 (2x16GB) 5600MHz
-Operating System: MS Windows 11 Home
Things I can live without: Bluetooth, WiFi are the things that come to mind. Would definitely still need sound and ethernet

anyone has this issue of transparencyd taking up like 99% of the CPU non stop on the latest stable version of Sonoma?
I've found people with the same even on one of the Betas after the last stable dropped a few weeks ago
the only temporary solution I have is that, everytime I turn ON my laptop, I have to quit the service from the Activity Monitor app (don't force quit, just quit it, there is aother service that accompanyes transparencyd, it will also quit by itself after you quit transparencyd)
anyone having this issue? any permanent fixes?
if anyone is on the latest BETA channel, can you guys please verify and report your findings please, thank you so much.

Install/ boot problems
I have a surface pro 7 and trying to install macOS I did get it to boot into recovery but WiFi did not work redid the install drive but can not get it to boot can anyone help as to what I can do or if anyone can share their install setup I’m using an i5 surface pro 7 thanks

Sonoma 14.4 reboot during update
I have an AMD 3020e laptop with Vega 3 iGPU where I was able to install Monterey and Ventura with no problems so far. Sonoma works as well, but only up to version 23D56 (14.3 RTM). If I try to update past that, to a 14.4 beta, after rebooting into the “macOS Installer” entry in OpenCore it crashes after just a couple of minutes. I enabled verbose and saw that macOS orders the shutdown after the patchd stage. I tried updating OpenCore and disabling or updating kexts but the problem persists

No open core in boot menu
Hi everyone, I am trying to install open core Ventura on my HP Probook 470 G7 with i7-10510U, I followed all the steps but at part when I reset nvram and return to boot menu there isn’t opencore option, it’s just my win10 ssd, second ssd where I plan to put macOS and flash drive. I then choose the flash drive and install macOS, but then I can only boot it with flash drive.
Should I try the older version of macOS?

Fresh Ventura Install - Is USBInjectAll Still needed? How about Skylake to KabyLake spoof?
Hi, I have working Catalina system with GA Z170X UD5, i7-6700k, Radeon RX480. I don't have windows on any of the drives. I am trying to create Open Core installer from the Catalina system and then install Ventura to a new NVMe M.2 SSD drive.
I am following https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide.

Some questions:
1. I have Archer T4U V3.2 USB - this is what I use for wifi on Catalina. Will this ever work in Ventura?
2. I also have Fenzi T919 - this is PCI wifi card that I am not using but would like to use if I can't get the USB wifi card to work. Any tips here? The above linked guide doesn't seem to suggest I need anything.
3. Regarding my RX480. As I understand this should work without kexts or anything, provided I have the lilu and whatevergreen kexts. But now on to the skylake-Kabylake spoof question...
4. Spoofing SkyLake to KabyLake. What does this amount to? Just specifying 18.3 as system in symbios? Or is there something else to add in config.plist, or a boot arg or something? I just want to make sure the iGPU is available for use if needed.
5. USB mapping: wow there is so much info on this. Really not clear what I should do. In hackintool I see attached. USB works fine on this Catalina system and just not sure if I need to do anything regarding USB. When I read the info about USBToolBox it seems to suggest that you do the mapping from windows. I don't have windows. So am trying to figure out what I should be doing, and whether I need to use USBInjectAll.

Prohibitory symbol screen after installation (Sonoma)
I've followed Dortania's guide, made an EFI, and tried installing Sonoma(14.3) on my laptop. The installation process went smoothly until it was done and the system rebooted, I got the support.apple.com/mac/startup screen with a prohibitory symbol.
I searched around online and tried many config.plist edits but it still won't boot. But somehow when I replaced the EFI on boot USB with the backup of the EFI folder that I used on the last successful boot into the installation, the system booted successfully into macOS. I then went through the setup process and finally got to the desktop for the first time, after that I restarted the system to see if it would boot again and it didn't. Now I'm stuck with the prohibitory symbol screen.

I am currently running MacOS ventura with an Intel Core i5 6300U CPU. I wanted to upgrade to MacOS sonoma but I can't as apple official website says I'm using a 2017 macbook pro. which is not supported. someone guide me how can I easiily install sonoma by spoofing my hardware. Backstory: I’m a full time graphic designer/photographer, and I use my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Air at home and work. I also use an iMac as my primary computer at work.
During Covid I built a mid level gaming PC for my digital home studio. It has an i7 9700, 2080 Ti super, 32gb ram, with upgraded fans and PCU. I added a 500gb SSD for OS/SW, 2x 1TB SSDs and 1x 7200rlm 10TB for backups.
Is it possible to run a hackintosh native boot with my setup? Would all 4 drives need to be formatted or potentially just the main drive? Is there a go-to resource for hackintosh-ing? TIA

USB Port Mapping Ventura - Am I understanding these instructions correctly?
Hi, I don't have windows on my computer, just installed Ventura on GA Z170X UD5 i7-6700K RX480 using OpenCore guide for Kabylake, set to iMac18.3. Now following here:

But something seems odd. I followed steps 5 and 6. I plugged a USB2 and USB3 device into every port. So I unplugged keyboard and mouse and plugged in the USB 2,3 devices, making note of what port I was on and what UK identifier came up, and which driver. Even when plugging in the USB3 device it showed up as using the same AppleUSB20XHCIPort as when I was plugging in the USB2 device.
In any case, then I disabled all of the first 15 ports except UK7 and UK8 which were my mouse and keyboard.
Rebooted, and in the USBMap utility see that things were disabled as intended.
Then on to step 8. But at this step, when I plugged in the USB 2 and 3 device they only appeared in the USBMap Discover Ports at the ports UK7 and UK8 which are for mouse and keyboard. I suppose this result was expected. I just don't see what was supposed to change. I mean I was plugging the USB 2 and 3 device into ports disabled in previous steps.
Anyway, not sure how to proceed. Ideas?

Mac OS won’t boot after Windows installed on a second hard drive
Hi guys,
I’m hacking a problem on my boss hackintosh, i have installed Windows on a second ssd and now Mac OS won’t boot anymore from the bios
It show the presence of Mac OS on the other drive but won’t boot anymore.
There wasn’t a bootloader installed for dual boot soo i thought to start the os just via bios, but now only Windows is bootable, any suggestion?
If u need some other info i can give u when i come back to my workplace.

On my hackintosh fcp export is very slow, using msi rx 6800xt it takes 32 minutes to export a 20 minute file. When I export the same file to my other hackintosh using 6600xt, it takes only 14 minutes to export. help me bro

Help with wifi on my first hackintoth
After a lot (in fact, a looooooooot) of reading, following YouTube tutorials, and some hits and misses, I've managed to build EFI from scratch (by following Dortania's guide), and successfully install macOS Sonoma on my PC.
**Specs:**
* i5 13600K
* Rog Strix B760-A Wifi D4
* RX6600
HOWEVER, I couldn't make my mobo's Bluetooth and Wifi (Intel AX211) work -- and I don't have ethernet cable available where the computer stays.
I've tried AirportItlwm (stable and alpha), but nothing happened. With Itlwm, the system din't even finish booting. I've also tried installing Ventura instead, but the same errors happened. For Intel Bluetooth, I've used BlueToolFixup, IntelBluetoothFirmware and IntelBTPatcher - and nothing happened.

Legacy/Duet: no ESP on HDD detected
I've been trying to use the Duet forks of both OpenCore and Clover not only for hackintoshing but also to boot Windows in UEFI mode on an old Dell PC with an existing but faulty UEFI implementation. OpenCore displays no Windows boot entry even though Windows is installed and when booting OpenCore through native UEFI, it does show Windows and on the Clover stick that I created with BootDiskUtility, if I check under boot from file, it shows no devices to select a filesystem to boot a file from. I think that this might be related to why I could never boot the macOS recovery

I can’t add the kexts to opencore configurator
Hi guys,
I’m trying to add the kexts to the kernel section in opencore but when I drag them in the kernel folder they “go back” to the Uefi kexts folder. I even tried to add them with the scan/Browse button on opencore configurator but they appear grey and I can’t do nothing with them. I need to know how to put kexts in opencore because I want to get intel Bluetooth working. Ps: sorry for bad English but I’m from Italy
