WiFi/Bluetooth module that is natively supported India
Hi, I am new here so sorry if I am breaking any rules or not following any guidelines.
I am from India and I have installed MacOS Big Sur on my Asus R542UQ. The WiFi chipset is not natively supported and I have tried many kexts but no luck so far. I looked into some natively supported WiFi chipsets but all of them are very expensive here (like $80 to $120). If you are from India and have any suggestions then please help me out.

I have followed all blessed https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/ and some videos on YT.
Current state is that I have the USB ready with Sonoma 14.1.1. It boots but despite all my efforts it never boots into installer. Here's the debug:

Following that I was able to fix some issues like "CFG Lock" - however the issue seems to be elsewhere.
Any idea? I would appreciate if someone could give me some lead - or enlighten me if I'm trying to do something ultra stupid. Thanks!

Booting Up the Installer leads to no video output
Hey everyone, tried booting my installer today (tried Big Sur and Sonoma on 2 different usb sticks) and I select the installer from the opencore boot menu, it posts for a while, then the screen goes black and my monitor goes to sleep.
My specs:
Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Z490
10600k cpu
32gb DDR4
Using integrated graphics (UHD630)
4k dell monitor using hdmi
I set the AAPL,ig-platform-id to each of the two options for comet lake’s integrated graphics, but the result is the same. Bios graphics memory is set to 64mb.
I was reading there may be some hdmi issues with Mac OS, both my computer and monitor have display ports, but I don’t have a cord. Could this be along the lines of the issue, or should I look into my EFI setup?

Hackintosh stuck on blackscreen.
PC specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX6600
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4500 6 Cores
MOBO: GIGABYTE A520M DS3H
RAM: Lexar Thor 16GB 3200Mhz
I tried installing Hackintosh using Dortaina OpenCore guide, ran into some problems that I was able to solve on my own, but cannot fix this one.

Ventura on Hasweel laptop
I found this tool on github that prepares usb installer and an opencore efi for hp laptops and with it I was able to boot and install ventura on my haswell laptop. Now I have to use oclp to do the post-installation patches for gpu acceleration also. The problem is that I made the usb installer in the same laptop in another ssd with monterey and the smbios was macbookpro15,2. I don't know how in the world was I able to make a monterey work on a haswell with macbookpro15,2 smbios but it does and now I have Ventura with the same smbios but OCLP won't work because the smbios is already supported for ventura. The other problem is that when I try to set the smbios to macbookpro11,3 or macbookpro14,1 it will stuck as some point during booting. Any solution? Also when I add amfi_get_out_of_my_way=0x1 it won't boot.

In my config.plist I have set ResizeGpuBars \-1 and ResizeAppleGpuBars to 1. When ever I have resizable bar enabled in the BIOS, MacOS gets stuck on apple logo. MacOS boots normally if Resizable bar is turned off in the BIOS. What do I have to do to be able to boot MacOS with resizable bar on?

Monitor has better colors plugged to MBP than hackintosh
my 2017 macbook pro produces better image on my monitor (dell u2518d) than my hackintosh.
the mbp has "color lcd", hackintosh doesn't have that, it has its own choices that are too saturated for me. can i import color profile from my macbook to hackintosh ?

Stuck on enabling i2c-hid on Dell, Sonoma 14.2.1
So ive been trying to enable i2c trackpad and keyboard on my Dell Latitude 5320 (i3-1125G4). So far I have been stuck in ps2 mode. Im sure my trackpad is I2C-HID, I checked in both windows device management and mac IORegistryExplorer.
I tried few things so far, Enabling VoodooI2C.kext (and VoodooI2CServices.kext, VoodooInput.kext, VoodooGPIO.kext) and tried combining it with satellites such as hid, elan, synaptics. I also tried AlpsHID and VoodooRMI (trying both SMBus and I2C)
For ACPI, i tried pre-built SSDT-GPIO and SSDT-XOSI. And I tried SSDT-XOSI built with SSDT-time.
I also added adding Serial bus controller in Device properties under PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x15,0x0) and PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x15,0x1) for the Tiger Lake-LP Serial IO I2C Controllers. I tried adding force-polling with value 01000000 and without adding force-polling
I tried boot flags for force-polling and without force-polling flag
I think tried every combination listed above, it would be a big help if there are any new ideas or if i should re-try any specific combinations.

Question Stay on Ventura vs Upgrade to Sonoma
I got an MSI Z490 MPG Wifi setup that's been running like a dream on Ventura. Recently swapped out my Fenvi card for the onboard Intel wifi and bluetooth surprisingly, it's working well, especially the wifi speed. But I've seen a few people talking about performance issues and glitches with the wifi. Should I be worried about these if I'm thinking of upgrading? Stability with Ventura is my top priority. If it means staying with Ventura to keep things smooth, I'm cool with that. Thoughts?

No WiFi option in Ventura Installation.
Does anyone know if I can install Ventura over WiFi instead of using ethernet? My WiFi card is Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165. When at the installation screen, there is no option to connect to wifi so I keep getting the message that an internet connection is required. I previously installed Big Sur with no issues using AirportItlwm.kext and I was able to connect to WiFi at the top right of the recovery screen.

One microphone, two devices. Option to 'listen' to my own microphone?
I currently have a setup based on Windows, but I am switching to Mac. My microphone is connected to the PC, and the 'Listen to this device' option is enabled with playback to a USB audio interface. With this configuration, I can connect to any laptop and use the same microphone with configured VST plugins. I can also 'listen' to the laptop with Elgato software. Does anyone have something similar using a Mac as the main device? Any ideas?
To listen to other devices, it works seamlessly, just like in Windows.
The real issue is actually sending the microphone audio to a P2 output; macOS doesn't have a native option for that.

I turned my Hackentosh into a PC but i really want it to work
Hey everyone, i built my first computer a few years ago, and happens to be a hackentosh. i spec'ed this thing out pretty seruously because i wanted to see if i could get the top teir mac pro style proformance for an 1/8 of the price. i built a beast of a machine, but the truth is i could never get it to smoothly preform, sometimes it would work fine othertimes i would get overheating issues, i ended up bringing to my local microcenter to see if there were actualy any heating issues and the report came back fine, nothing was wrong they just wiped it and bringing back to factory with windows installed, but i really would love to get it running as a hackentosh really smoothly, i sort of gave up on it for a while, but coming to understand reddit a bit more i figured i could ask for help

Recommendations/feedback on the h/w selection for Sonoma.
Hi everyone,
I recently thought of building a hackintosh system. After going through dortania guide I found out these hardware to be compatible for a stable system on Mac OS Sonoma. Could you please recommend whether air drop, hand off, universal control, contunuity other features would work on this. I own a MacBook Air M1 8GB and mostly my work comprises of web development with docker, so I was thinking of connecting this hackintosh system to my air M1 via universal control, would that be possible with the selected hardware as mentioned below:

Battery draining fast
I have been using mac os sonoma on my laptop for almost couple of months now, but from a few days my laptop battery is draining like very fast, previously my laptop give me 4-5 hours of battery
Now it gives me only 1-1.5 hours of battery on a 100% charge….
I’m on macos sonoma 14.2.1
Could guys help me regarding this matter?
