Dortania's OpenCore guide outdated.
Hey guys, I'm new here. Posted my specs a few days ago and asked you guys whether it can run Hackintosh, everyone told me to give it a shot and check out the Dortania's guide.
The problem is I have a Raptor Lake 13th gen CPU and Dorthania guide hasn't been updated after the 10th gen processors... Is there any updated guides out there? Thank you for your help.
Edit: Anddd getting downvoted for asking a simple question. Zero replies. Zero attempts at helping me. You guys told me to go to Dorthania's OpenCore guide and there's no info on 13th gen CPU's, and now you're downvoting me for pointing that out without presenting any further information. Real nice.

Share your experience with AX210 Bluetooth (so far not great)
Currently using the Intel AX210 m.2 wifi/BL on my Sonoma build. Everything runs top notch except the Bluetooth, is truly abysmal. It works, but is patchy, breaks connection randomly and some item take a looong time to hook in.
What is your experience, and what other options others are using?

Mac Pro 2012 Pixlas Mod 6900XT not working
Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for taking the time time to read this. I have a Mac pro 2012 with dual cpu and did the pixlas mod on the power supply and am not getting power to my red devil 6900 xt . I don’t know if I got the install wrong and can’t find a spec map/PDF for the 6900XT on which pin is 12 volt and which one is ground (on the graphics card) . I follow black for ground and red for 12 volt on this connector but could be wrong. Either way, I need help to get power going to this card. The card does turn on when I connect it to the PCIE 6 pin power for the old card when I connect it either to the first slot or third slot 8 pin connnector (only the 6 pins of course). I also wish I had a way to keep all my slots open but I suppose with this chonky card it is what it is. Either way, I can’t get power to this and I think I have to routed wrong but can’t find the answers anywhere.
Please help!

Help, I'm stuck with "SmcReadValue Key 4D535463 Size 1" and "SmcReadValue Key 4D534163 Size 2" while trying to install Sonoma on a QUO AOS Z77 mobo, i3770K, RX580, OC 0.9.7

New CPU = new SMBIOS or just new SSDT-PM?
I am thinking of upgrading the cpu in my laptop from i5-2450M (Dual Core) to i7-2820QM (Quad core). I am currently using a MacBookPro8,1 SMBIOS.
If I were to install 2820QM, would I need to change the SMBIOS to MacBookPro8,2?
Arguments for yes:
* MacBookPro8,2 came with this exact processor
* OpenCore guide recommends this SMBIOS for this configuration: https://caizhiyuan.gitee.io/opencore-install-guide/config-laptop.plist/sandy-bridge.html#platforminfo
Arguments for no:
* I really like my current serial; it has three Fs in sequence! Oh and I've had to go through iMessage issues due to serial swapping in the past and even had to call Apple to resolve this issue (which worked, but was still a hassle)
* Generating PM SSDT should in theory tell macOS what it's dealing with and it should just shrug it off with "Unsupported CPU" as if I have a prototype mac
* dosdude can swap CPUs left and right and his Frankenstein macs keep booting

Hackintosh comet lake i5 with Nvidia GT 730 (No igpu)
Hi there,
Its my second build in a long time. Did manage to boot mac on my 8th gen i5 laptop earlier with Monterey.
I am now working to install mac on my i5 10th gen desktop with Nvidia GT 730 (No iGPU), and it always gets stuck at a kernel panic before initialization. Tried several quirks change but nothing seems to work.
I believe experts are experts for a reason.
Please take a look at the screenshot and help me get past this.

I currently trying to setup a VMWare on my AMD Machine. However I am not able to install MacOS propperly.
Without CPU Patch I stuck at the Mac Logo.

Whenever I try and boot into mac os it always, crashes/restarts and then comes with a cmos battery error from the bios. It works fine with every other OS, here is my Specs and EFI folder.

Upcoming Xeons….
I was looking at Hackintoshing the Z440 and Z640 until I realize that a few other “newer” generation but “retiring” Xeons will be flooding the market soon. Most have end-of-service life at end on 2023.
Namely the 2066 LGA series of Xeons. Still 14nm but ‘newer’. lol.
Eg:
Lenovo P520
HP Z4G4
Currently I’m not clear about the Hackintosh scene in these workstations. There was some BIOS update incompatibility for the Z4G4 but I’m not sure whether a workaround has been achieved.
They’re quite good value if you need those PCI lanes and ECC memory.
The Z440/Z640 specs are still more than enough for me (and I know they’re fully hackable (apart from those features that need the iGPU)) but I expect used workstation prices for those newer generation will drop quite a bit more. They’re already quite cheap on eBay but not yet on my local market.
The used workstations as a whole unit are cheaper than buying the x299 motherboards and these are not easy to source on the used market. A not unusual situation in these enterprise range.

Seeking Assistance: Installing macOS Ventura on Honor 14x MagicBook with USB 3.0 Challenge
Hey Hackintosh Community,
I'm currently attempting to install macOS Ventura on my Honor 14x MagicBook, and I've run into a roadblock. The installation guide advises against using USB 3.0 ports, warning of a non-bootable error. Unfortunately, my laptop exclusively features USB 3.0 ports, and as expected, I encounter issues when attempting to boot.
Has anyone successfully navigated a similar situation or found a workaround for installing macOS Ventura on a device with only USB 3.0 ports? I'd greatly appreciate any insights or guidance you can share.

Failed to install Ventura 13.6.1 and got multiple error messages incl. "AppleNVME Assert Failed ( 0 != Data )"

* macOS: macOS Ventura 13.6.1

I was trying to install macOS on my HP mini PC. Everytime I picked the installer option on the picker screen, some log messages popped up like below.

And later in couple seconds, a white stop sign showed up, the installation process ended here.
There are three main error messages in the log:
1. **AppleNVMe Assert failed: ( 0 != data )** ...
2. AppleALC alc @ error: no layout-id property in configuration 【THIS IS FINE. I copied someone's AppleALC.kext somewhere.】
3. **SMCSuperIO ssio @ failed to detected supported SuperIO chip**

I did some research online and I thought this was caused by using mismatched SSDTs, especially the one related to EC and AWAC/RTC. So, I used SSDTTime to generate SSDTs for my PC, tried SSDTs for both desktop and laptop, but got no luck to fix the error.

Hello, i tried to install hackintosh on my main pc, it is a thinkpad, also i installed the custom uefi and all was good. After the hdmi did not work, the touchpad, ecc ecc, i had a lot of problems and i decided to reinstall windows… Also, how long have you been using hackintosh? Im actually a student, and i need a os without problems, but, windows it is not very good for my lifestyle since i have all apple devices.. So if someone has any custom efi for a thinkpad t740, it would be nice! Also, i’d like to listen some experience from you!

Hackinstosh laptop instantly wakes only on AC power
USB Mapping done, using custom SSDT-PLUG I still have an issue where my hack will sleep perfectly while on BATT, but will instantly wake on AC power.
Specs: i7-3632QM, Intel HD4000 Graphics, Lenovo G580 HM76-Express, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Kingston KC600 256GB SSD, BCM943224HMS (Wifi only) m-PCIe, macOS Sonoma 14.1.2; 2xXHCI, 1xEHCI ports; SMBIOS: MacBookPro16,4

HP bios issue
After a few minutes of being in the Mac OS install environment my pc restarts and gives the following error : Real Time Clock Power Loss (005), I have tried everything reinstalling windows, updating the bios and replaced the cmos battery but nothing has worked, Any solution/ suggestions

How to activate this wireless board on my Hackintosh? I followed almost every tutorial on internet, but when I try to run OCLP it doesn't find any patches available for my computer. What should I do? My bluetooth always worked, even on ventura, but in Sonoma doesn't. Is that card really dead for macOS Sonoma?
