Similarly, our possible lives can be seen as two spiral threads. One is the life we consciously live, the other—the life still existing in potential. Previously, they seemed mutually exclusive and thus intertwined in a knot of pain. But now we begin to see that they can be woven into a single pattern, provided we find the right foundation.
