Every Day Poems

You may think I'm not serious, a mere fool.
because usually this harsh, I never say,
but believe my world is not to be colourful,
It's always supposed to be black and grey.

Every Day Poems

You are the kind of comfort that comes after the storms, when the damage is done, the tides have passed, you are peace that was well anticipated when stepped into the storm. Yet, despite the ease, a part of me is disappointed in you, it won't be content with the comfort you have to offer

when you haven't even known what it was like to be whipped by winds, be scarred by them, have your morals broken down by trepidations of whatever was thrown in my way, you won't know the hitch and flinch my heart makes from being so protective for myself from anything collapsing down upon me,

you smile and say, you love my scars, my crippled voice that my soul doesn't approve of, giving no regard to the god damn 'self love' nonsense
because it hardened me when all I wanted to be was soft, it darkened me when I wanted to be bright,
so sweetheart, I know the smile you push through those lies with is a pretense, maybe you offer me pity, or you are so desperate to prove you are a loving boy who is ever so accepting,

but your calm is a hoax and even if they do believe in things that aren't real, you don't feel like home unlike them.

Jokes

Is it not cool
to be the one
who makes the group cheerful?

Seeing friends smile,
seeing people laugh:
that is what keeps the demon asleep.

I wish to be the earth,
To be ancient, yet thriving,
To be strong, yet yielding.
I wish to be the earth,
To cradle life unseen,
Dynamic, yet serene.

I still hold your memories,
deep in my veins,
this body still
have your remains.

With you,
these stars used to
light brighter,
like, they are looking down,
beaming their blessings at us.

But now they are void of any shine,
they just stare back at me,
and I can't help but wonder
if you too are looking at these.

Every Day Poems

I love staying up,
Even when my eyes are falling,
And my brain is shutting.

It feels better this time,
It feels peaceful this time.
It's when I want to listen to my favorite song,

And when I want to dance to my favorite tune.
It's when I want to watch the sky,
As the cool breeze dances around me.

I'd regret it the next day, but it's worth it.
The night loves me,
And I love the night.

Death

Dear death,
I have every reason to hate you,
But when we meet I'll give you a wreath.

I'll kiss you lovingly,
As you slowly take me away,
I hope you'll treat me kindly.

I'll not protest at your coming,
I'll offer no resistance,
Because all this long I've been waiting.

But I have a request,
Don't be in a hurry to come,
Come when I'll be ready with a bouquet.

Stay away from my loved ones,
It will break me if you visit them,
Stay away while their light still shines.

I know you have a good heart,
You are also diligent in your work,
Take me to my Maker when I'm smart.

When I kiss you for the first and last time,
Please don't be in a hurry to end it,
Let me lose track of time.

Every Day Poems

The night is so, so still. Barely any sounds, save for the occasional distant motorcycle rumbles and the constant yet weak sounding cricket chirps. It is so eerily quiet, as if someone just turned off the switch. I always love the night, especially the dead of night like this. But I also dread it. I dread it because it's when I can hear the voices in my head the loudest. All the weeping, screaming, screeching, and pleading are magnified ten, twenty folds... Tormenting.

I'll have to ruin the night a little bit by playing some music, as I always do, or else I'll go mad.

My fingers press on each rusty key,
Trying to find the right rhythm, the right melody,
Yet all I accomplish is an off tune symphony,
And the music in my mind stays unheard, and unknown,
And yet I still call myself a pianist.

Stop the abuser,
Not just through words,
But through deeds.

Indeed, just so,
And the liberty we pursue,
Shall be abundant.
Can you be relied upon?

Every Day Poems

I told my brother, 'I'd never be like the rest',
and to my sister, 'I do not miss people' - a nice lie that is.
I told my father, 'I wasn't made of steel',
and to my mother, 'I'm not a child to be loved' - that could be right, perhaps.
And to you, I said a lot of words, that which I could keep no track of.
I've spoken more truth in notes than in speech, for only then my soul could run free.
I'd always say I've got no retentive memory, but I had only chosen for me, that which I deemed important to remember.
I could clearly state that from my child, I've received more hugs,
and my child bestowed me more reason to joy.
If you'd ask me to explain myself, I'd never know what to say.
If you'd ask me where the sun lies, I'd tell you I've ever only seen one in my head.
And if the moon could speak, he'd tell you all for countless times I've betrayed him for that little sun in my head.
If you'd ask about I over there, they'd tell you they've never heard her speak.
If you'd ask about I over here, they'll tell you a lock over her lips will keep the city at peace.
If you'd ask me what my purpose is, I'd only tell you to be different from the rest.
If you'd ask who I am, I'd tell you I'm somebody's child, and nothing more I could have said.
If you would see me once or twice, your usual 19-year-old you'd tell,
do not go over the little chat, nor over dresses and boys,
do not go over the surface matter, only then I'd ever remain a sanely 19-year-old,
because you'd never understand. With or without puzzle,
surface people, with surface mind, will ever only see a surface world.

I have sensed you within the walls of my lungs warming with my heart running miles a second, under the sleeves covering over my skin and my mind blurring any other image but yours,

everywhere your eyes couldn't reach yet they managed to invade your presence into me.

Every Day Poems

O traveler, don't soar too high,
Your wings might not withstand the strong winds,
The world warns me.

But the world doesn't know my stories,
It doesn't know my resolve,
It doesn't know my struggle,
It doesn't know my thirst,
A thirst that can only be quenched at that destination.

These wings will cut through the wind,
These wings are accustomed to strong gales.
Yes, I'll fly and keep flying high,
For the fiercest winds can't make me give up.

Every Day Poems

We started fading away,
there was nothing left between us to say.

You, admiring the moon, in the midnight,
me, admiring your glow, in that dim light.

Our memories flowing in my head
once again,
I looked at you, to see that you are fading once again.

I released my hand, to take in your essense
but you faded, and only your smile could be sensed.

Everyone is gone, in that blue sky,
yet, you'll always be here, you and I.

Oh orion, why does your skin look like a candle sobbing in the abyss of treachery,
You have a way about your jaded gaze that's on the verge of a blest agony,

Oh orion, why do you strike me as a time-honoured art hemmed in tragedy,
You have a way about you that makes me certain you're embedded on narcotics of this galaxy.

Live as a Kid

When I was a kid, I wanted to grow,
Adults have freedom, so I thought,
It's only now, that I'm making a vow,
I'll live my life, like a kid ought.

Those days, we'd run all day,
Chase rabbits, at full speed,
When tired, we lied on the hay,
Then we ate, blueberry seed.

We'd swim, in the river,
Naked the way, we entered the world,
We only left when, we started to shiver,
We'd be scolded, our parents termed us wild.

If there was, a button to rewind,
I'd run to press it, but I don't have the guts,
I love myself, even if I followed the wind,
The mistakes I made, I have no regrets.

One good thing, in life you'll always run,
The day you stop, we'll write orbituaries,
So never be gloomy, always have fun,
Never hold grudges, and keep away the worries.

I do not fear your absence.
As much as I fear your presence as a stranger,

What is more frightening than the darkness in light?

What is more hurtful than the shattered hopes of all that could have been?

Who is more lost than the ones losing all that they never had?

What is more tragic than a poet's ink bleeding blood from scars that never belonged with it?

A visit to his heart

I pushed myself further to see,
what lies in there,
so abandoned and deserted,
I knew I was the first one here,

Just as voice echos
in an reckless site,
I knew my 'I love you's' will
forever resound in his heart,

With each step the darkness
started to fade away,
and a light beamed from the
bright smile he left astray,

Now it smells of love and
his smile became frequent,
it feels like paradise and
darkness became hesitant,

Lucky I am to get
a visit to his heart,
and it made me realise what
pain he feels to play his part...

The Tale of my Dream

In my dreams, I fly with pride and personal drive, adorned with spotlight wings on my back—a sign of royalty. As the fairy of the woodland tryst, I always knew I would one day rule my people and subjects. Into the wood I flew, following the road leading home, after a quest of five years for the right to the throne. Now, I return home to claim what is rightfully mine.

My dream is a tale of desire and ambition, where I soar like an eagle, discovering myself and striving for personal fulfillment. My uniqueness lies in my aspiration for greatness, my longing for leadership propelling me on a journey of growth.
I am ready to seize control of my destiny, fueled by unwavering determination.

Did the tides wash away your clarity, tell me can't you seek even yourself out of a bruised ocean,

Did the sand bury you indefinitely, tell me can't you hold onto the cold hostile earth before it swallows your being,

Did the voices drown your magentizing song, tell me can't you fight them all off with a melody of your own,

Did the amethyst splattered on aged ceilings hid the starry night, tell me can't you see beyond the illusion.

There is a longing,
That lights up the sky when the candle is lifted,
There is a sparkle,
That sets your heart beating,

There is a glance,
You can hardly forget,
Even when knowing,
That the only ending is the sea.

I(r)onic parody

Imbalance in the level of sodium,
Causing my heart to beat irregularly.
The sounds of irregular heartbeats,
Resembles a brain yelled over the podium.
I never had heart issues earlier,
The reason I have one now is peculiar.
Misfires of Sinus rhythm,
Delusional echoes of unspoken hymn.
Baffling the electrolytic butterflies,
Improves the murmur of loud cries.
Telling my friend, who claims it's infatuation,
Otherwise, the physician diagnoses dehydration.

We wander and roam,
On distorted roads.

Lost from the very beginning,
With no purpose of returning.

It's a simulation of all the blunders,
That traverse from one another.

To be taught by the clueless,
The little knowledge depreciates.

Until nothing but mere assumption,
Is left for distasteful consumption.

All butterflies are out,
Clouds fly, hugging rainfalls.
We were twice this way,
One time and then again.
You thought I loved to sizzle,
But today you are mine.
And as the dawn turns redder
My heart is sure and full.
You deserve every rose alive.
