But you’re standing here in brand-new boots.
Checking the waves like they owe you a sign,
Like the sea’s gonna text, “Yo, now’s the time!”
You hold that rope like it’s your last meal,
Talking ‘bout “safety” and “how you feel.”
“My boat’s not ready, the sky looks mean,
And what if the water gets in my jeans?”
Oh, please.
The fish are laughing, the crabs just sigh,
Even the seagulls are side-eyeing why.
The tide rolls in, the tide rolls out,
While you stand there drowning in doubt.
Look, the shore ain’t that special, my friend,
It’s where dreams stall, and comfort pretends.
The ocean’s wild, the storms might scream,
But that’s where you’ll find your grandest dream.
So cut the rope, let go, set sail,
Even if your boat’s just a rusty pail.
You’ll never know what’s past that blue,
Till the shore’s just a dot... in your rearview.

Eyes-truth and perception
I've tried to dissect my existence in search of answers.
What lures a man into madness? What binds one to sanity?
What is love? What leads to disdain?
Why do we see something disturbing in everything?
The more I see the more I feel lost-
It feels like a blessing to look deeply into things, yet it’s a curse.
After all, perception, once unbridled continues to lead.
It weighs upon the soul, seeps into the blood, and unfolds like this:
He loved me—poured poison into a silver chalice.
She cared—to erase the guilt from her ribs.
They understood me—begged me to silence my mind.
He swore eternity—he was just a whisper devoured by the zephyr.
Oblivion, sometimes, is a mercy, but self-oblivion is a slow descent into the abyss.
If I love myself as I claim, why do I choke on my own breath?
What defines the cadence of carnage that haunts me in sleep?
Who will answer all these questions?
"Why can't you just settle for the pills your therapist suggested?"
Be a stacked pile of pills, forced to be happy?
It offers sanity, which I don’t really crave.
It makes me feel more empty than fine.
What if all I want is to go back to my childhood,
Feel safe in my father’s arms just once, at least?
Maybe I could carve myself differently
Less insane and more humanly.
What if all I want is to go back into my mother’s womb,
Choke on my umbilical cord or drown in amniotic fluid?
Maybe I can restart not as fractured being but a complete one.
Come on, take me back
to the time it was called
the good old days, not
because it was actually
good but because it was simple.

Life’s a Joke, But Nobody’s Laughing
I get tired oh so drained
Wake up early? My soul is pained!
Alarm’s screaming, what’s the rush?
Let me sleep just five more blush!
I get to work, brain’s on vacation,
Mind’s buffering low connection.
Emails stack like bills unpaid,
Boss be like, "You’re here to stay!"
I lose focus, thoughts just roam,
Dreaming of Wi-Fi back at home.
I start to think deep philosophy!
Like why does lunch break feel so brief?
Then I wonder who’s to blame?
Bills go up, but pay stays same!
The government? Oh, let’s debate
Wait, is my phone tapped? (Check mate!)
I got few words, but here’s the deal,
Life’s a circus, we all just wheel.
I’m just human, not some saint,
Just tryna survive without complaint!
You asked me to honor my promise made,
To spare the queen from a battle's blade,
To preserve the kingdom, avoid the strife,
And return as the queen, full of life.
Here I lay, by your side,
Though my time on this earth may soon expel,
But I bring forth a new life,
Please embrace her, and crown her the queen.
For I've fulfilled my vow, as you desired,
As I fade away, let her voice be heard,
So, mother dear, accept this plea of mine,
And wipe your tears, for the queen lives on.

I wish she felt the struggles I face in sharing my heart with her.
I wish she saw the love behind every effort, no matter how small, and accepted it with a gentle smile.
I wish she cherished me with the same love and adoration that fills my heart for her.
I wish she thought of me as I think of her, and whispered prayers for me as I do for her every night.
I wish our love blossomed stronger with each passing day.
Most of all, I wish she cradled my love in the warmth of her heart.

In sunset's last breath, her mind rummaged in the remnants of him.
She turned the rubbles, searching for any fragment where her and him might still linger,
Nothing! Nothing but the ghosts of love.
Their love. It was beautiful and breathless, the magic and spark
Until it begun to fade, and here she is, gulping down grief as she drowns in the flames.
She loved him. The only way she knew. The best she could
But sometimes, even the best version of ourselves hurt the people we love,
A pain that even time is helpless to console!

Dreams in Drive, trust in check.
Trust yourself first, because even shadows disappear when it gets dark.
I need to trust myself first, before I trust the rest,
'Cause if I hand out trust like fliers, I might just fail the test.
I got dreams so tall, they touch the sky,
But I keep a few in the parking lot, just in case dreams go dry.
See, life’s a matatu ride, bumpy, full of drama,
One day you’re VIP, next, you’re squeezed with someone’s grandma.
I tried trusting people, even lent them my last coin,
Next thing I knew, I was broke, eating air like it’s sirloin.
So now I keep my wins low-key, no loud parades,
'Cause even Moses parted the sea but still got betrayed.
I want a house, a car, my name on billboards bright,
But wisdom tells me: "Chill bro, don’t burn out your light."
Ever shared a business plan? Folks laughed, called it fake,
Now they text, "Bro, you winning! Lend me something for tea break?"
I smile, sip my tea, no sugar, just vibes,
'Cause I keep my moves like a boda guy quick and wise.
So yeah, I trust myself first, my instincts never lie,
I park my biggest goals till I’m ready to fly.
And when I do, oh when I do
I’ll honk twice at the doubters, and zoom past ‘em too!

You are the sun when skies are gray,
A gentle breeze that sweeps my way.
A spark of joy, so wild and free,
The sweetest love, my heart’s decree.
With every laugh, my world feels new,
A melody so soft, so true.
No storm can shake what we have grown,

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.
Listen, listen, gather round,
Lemme drop some wisdom, pound for pound.
Everything in life needs a little break,
Even a fish gotta pause before another lake!
Work? Oh please, take five,
Or you'll grind so hard, you forget you're alive.
Eat? Slow down, don’t be that guy,
Food ain't a race, let your stomach comply.
Love? Ah yes, what a twisted delight,
One minute it's fire, next minute it's fight.
So take a break, re-evaluate,
Before you confuse true love with a dinner plate!
Even the government, oh what a tale,
Promises a highway, then hikes the fuel sale!
"We build for you, we care, we try..."
Yet my wallet cries, my pockets sigh.
They say, "Opportunities? We've opened the door!"
But to get through, you gotta know four!
A friend, of a cousin, of a neighbor's cat,
That once shook hands with a diplomat!
So take a break, breathe in, be wise,
Life’s a comedy, dressed in disguise.
Laugh at the mess, find your own way,
And don’t forget, rest is part of the play!

They lie about their age,
hide their true selves,
smile, and deceive.
You tell them you love them,
but they won't tell you
how many men they've had,
or who's sliding into their DMs.
It's their secret,

It's heartbreaking to see a boy
invest his heart in a girl who
doesn't appreciate him.
I understand his pain,
having been that boy myself -
the one who dismantled his
defenses for someone who took
him for granted.
I gave my all to someone
who sought happiness elsewhere,
destroying my own world for someone
who never recognized my worth.
But I've learned, and I hope that boy
will too.
May he find the strength to walk away
from a love that no longer serves him
and wait for the girl who will cherish him.
