It's called Seiryu Miharashi Eki, and it's a Japanese station with no entrance and no exit.
No ticket counter, no shops, no bar.
The train stops in the middle of nowhere.
You can get off, but you can't go anywhere, and to leave, you have to wait for the next train.
There's nothing to do: no town, no tourist attractions nearby.
So, what is it all about?
A joke?
Absolutely not, the Japanese have an ancient and "serious" culture.
It's a "memento," a signal of "discontinuity," to remind those using the railway of the importance of "stopping," taking some time, thinking, reflecting, and making peace with the world.
