gm @Mastera82, let me try to explain the concept again in different words:
- The wrapped version (wOS) is a ERC-4626 and is part of the rebasing supply. It earns value by rebasing its assets for you, increasing in value rather than quantity.
- There is a significant difference between rebasing supply and non-rebasing supply. By default, OS in smart contracts (like AMMs) does not earn yield, making it part of the non-rebasing supply. The yield from the non-rebasing supply goes to all holders of the rebasing supply. For example, if we have a $10 million TVL earning 5%, with $5 million in rebasing supply and $5 million in non-rebasing supply, the yield for the rebasing supply will be 10%.
- We have introduced a new feature called Yield Forwarding, which can include the OS held in AMMs as part of the rebasing supply. You can read more in our documentation about how it works.
