We have a big news to share with you all!

Nuggets To Help Develop Privacy & Identity Layer for the Bank of England’s Digital Pound ✅

We’re honoured to be working with the Bank of England to design a privacy-preserving identity layer for a possible retail CBDC 🤝

If a CBDC – also known as the Digital Pound - were introduced, the identity layer would help empower users to maintain privacy and control their own data.

The intention is to design a system that is private and secure and prevents tracking and correlation of transactions while maintaining the highest standards of fraud and anti-money laundering prevention.

Nuggets participates in Phase 2 of @BIS_org and @bankofengland’s Project Rosalind. ✅

As a platform that enables trusted and regulatory-compliant transactions through verified self-sovereign decentralized identity (SSDID), Nuggets built an identity and payment wallet solution for retail central bank digital currency (CBDC) use cases.

Nuggets worked with the Rosalind APIs and demonstrated a range of retail user functionality. Including:

✅Creating a CBDC account
✅Using CBDC to make a retail payment with verifiable receipts;
✅Making a CBDC micropayment;
✅ and the ability to freeze, unfreeze and delete the CBDC account

All without sharing any personal identifiable information.

We successfully demonstrated the advanced privacy and security available for retail CBDC.
