总理表示，政府知道今年调高消费税影响了国人，因此通过定心与援助配套，减轻国人的负担，尤其是中低收入家庭。明年1月1日消费税上调至9%后，政府也会按原先计划，落实定心与援助配套。总理也有把握这些补助能缓解明年消费税上调对国人的影响。

58 tahun lalu, para pengasas kita menyatu-padukan rakyat dan melancarkan usaha Singapura membina watan kita. Sebagaimana dalam lagu kebangsaan kita, mereka didorong oleh semangat yang baru: seruan untuk bersatu padu, keazaman mengatasi cabaran, serta sedia bekerjasama demi membina sebuah negara baru dan masa hadapan yang cerah.

Memandang ke hadapan, generasi hari ini memerlukan semangat yang sama, yang lebih bertenaga untuk membawa Singapura maju lebih jauh lagi.

PM Lee menyeru agar kita memperkukuh semangat ini dalam kalangan rakyat Singapura demi membina sebuah masyarakat inklusif yang adil dan saksama. Marilah, kita berusaha bersama-sama ke arah masa depan yang lebih cerah sebagai satu rakyat, satu negara, satu Singapura!

Pemerintah faham kesusahan yang dihadapi golongan pencari kerja, dan mendengar kebimbangan dalam soal ini semasa sesi-sesi perbincangan Forward SG.

Pemerintah sedang melakarkan satu skim yang menawarkan sokongan kewangan sementara bagi pencari kerja, semasa mereka meningkatkan kemahiran. Pemerintah sedang perhalusi butiran skim ini, dan para pemimpin 4G akan berkongsi lebih lanjut apabila mereka menggulung inisiatif Forward SG.

Perdana Menteri Lee Hsien Loong menyentuh tentang inisiatif ‘Melakar Hala Tuju Singapura’ atau Forward SG. Inisiatif ini penting untuk menyegarkan kontrak sosial kita, menentukan Singapura yang kita idam-idamkan, dan cara terbaik mencapainya. Antara perkara yang kita idam-idamkan tentulah kemajuan ekonomi, pekerjaan dan mata pencarian yang mantap.

Pada Rapat Umum Hari Kebangsaan lima tahun yang lalu, PM Lee mengumumkan projek Jalur Budaya Geylang Serai.

Ada beberapa bahagian projek ini yang telah pun siap, seperti Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS) dan Anjung@WGS. Sebahagian kerja-kerja peningkatan masih bersifat ‘akan datang’, tetapi tidak lama lagi.

Pada zahirnya, projek Geylang Serai ini memaparkan keindahan dan kekayaan warisan budaya Melayu. Namun, apa yang tersirat di dalamnya mencerminkan masyarakat Melayu kita yang kembali bertenaga, bersiap siaga untuk menghadapi cabaran-cabaran masa hadapan.

Sektor-sektor ekonomi baru sedang bercambah, mewujudkan pekerjaan baru. Namun, di sebalik peluang-peluang ini, timbul tekanan dan kebimbangan seperti kemungkinan kerja diambil alih robot atau aplikasi AI. Memang lebih banyak gangguan kepada pekerjaan dijangkakan. Rentak perubahan dijangka semakin pantas. Bagi yang hilang pekerjaan, jalan keluarnya ialah untuk menjalani latihan semula demi mencari pekerjaan yang lebih baik dalam jangka panjang.

Spoke about the recent resignations. High standards of propriety and personal conduct, together with staying clean and incorrupt, are the fundamental reasons Singaporeans trust and respect the PAP, and give us their mandate to form the government and work together with us to improve the lives of Singaporeans. PAP MPs must uphold these cardinal values at times. Without party discipline, without integrity, we are nothing, so this is an absolute requirement.
