🫧استفاده ی صحیح از نقطه ویرگول (semicolon)
استفاده از نقطه ویرگول واقعا مشکل است. برای بهتر شدن در استفاده از نقطه ویرگول باید چند نکته را به خاطر بسپارید:
🌸 اگر دو جمله واره ی مستقل دارید که بین آنها یک حرف ربط همپایه ساز وجود دارد، قبل از حرف ربط همپایه ساز از کاما استفاده کنید. به طور مثال:
🫧 “I will go to the restaurant tomorrow, and I plan to order a hamburger.”
🌸اگر دو جمله واره ی مستقل دارید و چیزی بین آنها وجود ندارد، از نقطه ویرگول استفاده کنید. به طور مثال:
🫧“I will go to the restaurant tomorrow; I plan to order a hamburger.”
🌸 اگر دو بند مستقل وجود دارد و شما یک قید ربط بین آنها دارید (یا همان "عبارات انتقالی" مانند moreover, therefore, consequently, thus...) قبل از قید ربط از یک نقطه ویرگول، و بعد از قید ربط از یک کاما استفاده کنید. برای نمونه:
🫧 “I will go to the restaurant tomorrow; moreover, I plan to order a hamburger.”
🫧 “It is raining today; therefore, I will go to the restaurant tomorrow.”
نکته؛ جالب این است که حتی بسیاری از native ها اغلب نقطه ویرگول در آخرین مثال را فراموش می کنند و فقط از یک کاما بعد از اولین جمله واره استفاده می کنند. مثلا:
