A Safe Return
The baby monkey was huddled behind a rock, trembling. Aston didn't grab him; instead, he knelt down and spoke in a low, soothing whistle he had practiced for months. Recognizing the "food-bringer," the little monkey lunged toward Aston’s chest, clinging to his uniform.
Aston tucked the infant inside his jacket for warmth and exited the enclosure just as the big males realized the mangoes were gone.
"Easy there, little guy," Aston whispered as the zoo vet approached. "The bullies won't get you today."
By evening, the baby was safe in the nursery, and Aston was already planning how to better integrate the little one back into a friendlier troop.

The Rescue at Habitat Xx
The midday sun beat down on the City Zoo, but at the primate enclosure, the atmosphere was far from peaceful. Aston, a young zoo volunteer known for his keen eye and calm nerves, noticed a commotion near the artificial waterfall.
A group of three large male macaques had cornered a tiny, shivering baby monkey. The adults were baring their teeth and screeching, shoving the little one away from the food tray. The baby, barely a few months old, let out a heart-wrenching whimper.
Aston’s Move
Aston knew he couldn't just jump in—that would cause a riot. Thinking quickly, he grabbed a bucket of fresh, premium treats: sliced mangoes and honey-soaked nuts.
The Diversion: Aston climbed the keeper's platform and tossed the treats to the far opposite corner of the enclosure.
The Shift: The greedy adult monkeys, distracted by the superior snacks, immediately abandoned the baby and raced across the rocks.
The Entry: Using his radio to alert his supervisor, Aston slipped through the safety gate.
