Update: Still 1-2 weeks away from staking for Betted.
As the leader of this project, observing how the markets have been booming and the delay in the staking has drawn on, I took a decision that straddles the line of my ethics, which I abide by very carefully. It's why it's taken me more than a few days to write about this.
I took a decision unilaterally (read: without your consent) to invest a large portion of the migration funds into a project called Kendu.
Before you bite my head off and call me a rugger and scammer, hear me out.
First off I wanted those funds for myself, I would have just sent them to a CEX and cashed it out. That's not what or why I'm doing what I did.
Before I go any further, yes the migration will still happen. No, I don't know when I will relaunch it. I want to see how this investment does first within these market conditions before I take the plunge on relaunching my own again.
How it started: I got a DM from Finn, one of the admins for Kendu and Caesar's Youtube Private chat, saying that this project was Alpha (around the 100-200k MC level) and that he rarely called alpha. I ignored it. I've been led astray too often. Also didn't have the funds to invest in personally, nor was I even considering using the migration funds at that time. That was near the end of February.
Well, I kept the tab open, and sure enough this then went to 3 mill MC one day. The same day someone from the Kendu team left a long post about the project in the solana project I launched called Earf.
What I found when I looked into it more, is that Kendu is led by a Shib OG (prob more OG than me) who bought into Shib early. Not only did me make millions, but he's got a connection to Shytoshi and many whales, (shib/bone whales frequently supporting the chart). Shytoshi follows the Kendu Twitter (it's verifiable) His name in TG is Kendu Miazaki. He's Australian. I attended a VC at 3 AM my time. Right off the bat I saw a kindred spirit. Pretty much thinks like I do. Fuck marketing. Community building and raiding is what works. Doesn't give a crap if people jeet he's laser focused on making Kendu a billion dolllar marketcap project, and the energy from him and the community is very positive and inspiring.
It reminded me of what had last year when we raided day in day out. I missed that. I recognized that in Kendu. I wanted to contribute financially to the cause, grow our migration fund, and possibly bring reinforcements from the Shuggi community to help build Kendu up. They want to be the next shib. As the dev says on VC, he won't stand for a dog wif a hat being a billion + project, and his project not being able to do the same. The gauntlet has been thrown.
Shuggi and Kendu are now allied, whether you like it or not, by the migration fund. I sunk in a large portion of it into Kendu because I believe in the dev and the project. I encourage you to join and help with raiding.
I think the narrative of my investing into Kendu will help grow Shuggi in a symbiotic way. Shib OG investing in another Shib OG. I like the sound of that. You may not, and I totally get it. I do feel bad for doing it without your consent, and perhaps I shouldn't have. For that I do apologize. It's not like the funds are gone. They're just invested. Might as well make the most of it, support Kendu, and maybe (if you have the funds), grab a bag. When (not if) I relaunch Shuggi, I will allocate a portion of our taxes to buying and adding to our existing bag of Kendu. We are united!
With the way BTC reached ATH so soon before the halvening and the explosion in volume in crypto, I couldn't ignore this opportunity, even if I bought higher from where Finn shared with me.
I'm not gonna mute chat. I will however, ask you not to fud Kendu or ask them questions about what I've done. Be supportive and if you can assist our fellow Kendu brothers-in-arms please do so. If not, then all I can say is I will relaunch Shuggi, but for now this is the path I've taken to follow, and I would appreciate if you back me up.
