Looks like I was wrong about this being about Windows and Linux behavior however, most Admins that use Linux would not use something like what Crowdstrike provides.
Issues were reported months ago about Crowdstrike software causing boot issues in Debian.
It baffles me when I see a dumb TV used for showing a webpage that provides information like a menu at a resturant or perhaps flight times at an airport connected to a computer using Windows...such a waste and a Raspberry Pi would be very ideal in those scenarios.

This is a show of just how lazy some people have become even in our most precious systems in society. Windows PE(or full blown Windows 11) on an Intel NUC when Debian(which is free) on a Raspberry Pi would be for more suitable

Most of the companies impacted are actually only having issues at the POS or terminal stations. So they use Linux/BSD for servers and whatnot but at the train station or local bank branch office they are using Windows and those machines are impacted.
Its an easy fix; migrate away from Microsoft and stop assuming your employees are so non-tech orientated that they must use Windows and cannot learn Fedora or Debian.
