We may look at the news and feel hopeless, as though oppressors like the Zionists or the American hegemony have all the power, but all true power belongs to Allah.
And according to the mufassirīn, He will not change our state of favour into disfavour, unless something changes within. Therefore, we also hold the power to improve our situation by collectively reverting back to Allah, repenting from our sins, and committing to be the best version of ourselves.
We don't need to be perfect, we just need to make that collective change for the better.

We congratulate our brother Majid Freeman for standing firm upon the truth.
Today, he walked out of court to a hero’s welcome after the jury failed to reach a verdict in his trial.
This landmark case sought to make an example of him for speaking in support of Palestine and its resistance. That such a case was brought at all is deeply concerning and demands accountability.
The judge has ordered a retrial next year, but Majid returns home today as an innocent man. He has welcomed the chance to once again speak for the Palestinian cause in court.
All praise belongs to Allah. May He continue to bless Majid, his family, and all those standing against oppression. Free Palestine.
After the career, now what?
The power of the Muslim woman is not confined to the workplace, as liberal feminism would like us to believe.
