Released Palestinians had been held in Israeli custody since 7 October 2023 and faced abuse and inhuman treatment in prison.

The US Department of Defense says three men accused of plotting the September 11 attacks have entered a pre-trial agreement.
Local media reported that the three men could appear in court as early as next week to formally enter their pleas.

On Tuesday, Hamas appointed its Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar as the political chief at large to succeed the late Ismail Haniyeh.
