Life resembles a journey that enriches us more than books. By traveling, we witness the country’s magnificence and diversity, and we feel modest and grateful. We discard our narrow-mindedness, mature our minds, and improve our well-being.

On the journey, we bond with new people, assist others, and get assistance. We share our meals and conversations with others, and we treasure what we have. We accomplish our tasks and depart, without holding on to anything.

We remain focused on our objective, and we avoid anything that diverts us. We comprehend that all our belongings and bonds are temporary, and we savor them while we can. We come back home with valuable experiences.

Life is similar to a journey, where we journey with our loved ones for a period. Our accomplishments, riches, and wisdom are not lasting, and we should employ them for the welfare of society. We mentor others and perform our duty. We aspire for the supreme goal of life, which is to end it with joy, knowing that our soul will unite with the Supreme Soul. This is the true significance of life’s journey.

When is it okay to be angry?

Anger makes you feel tense and not like yourself. There are lots of reasons for getting angry and many negative outcomes too. When you're angry, you lose control of reasoning, kindness fades away, your heart feels upset, you can't listen to good things, words can hurt, you see only flaws, and your mind refuses to accept the truth. Anger can also lead to physical actions you might regret, wasting energy, and making you feel restless. If you're too angry, you can act like someone you're not.

Showing anger can break relationships, but keeping it inside can also disturb your peace of mind, making anger your enemy.

However, controlled anger can sometimes be useful. For example, parents, teachers, and elders can use it to correct bad behavior in a firm but caring way. But it's also important not to lose control. Pointing out mistakes without being mean or jealous is better. Anger often gets worse when someone's pride is hurt. Avoiding confrontations and not understanding each other's feelings can also lead to anger.

Anger can stem from small things like someone acting differently or not understanding you, or when things aren't working right. But losing patience and getting angry over small issues shows lack of understanding. Anger can affect relationships and home life.

Just like a headache shows something's wrong inside, anger indicates tension in the mind. It's important to find the cause and fix it with self-reflection. Otherwise, there are consequences.

It's okay to be angry when something harms your character, beliefs, country, or religion. However, it's crucial to keep anger in check and only show it when necessary. Understanding when and how much to get angry is key. Your true character shows when you handle anger wisely, not like a mad person throwing stones, but using it wisely.

Creation of Joy

Flowers bloom naturally, spreading happiness to all, a creation beyond our hands. Laughter, however, is something we can create. We can immerse ourselves in its sound, floating on waves of joy. Some actions are within our grasp. Even if our deeds are small, we should perform them with a generous heart. Instead of complaining about our inability to accomplish grand things, let us be partners in the efforts.

Happiness knows no bounds, regardless of the scale of our actions. It observes our endeavours, recognizing the childlike purity and wholeheartedness with which we engage. Happiness deserves attention. Sufferings act as mere window screens, while endless happiness awaits behind the main door. We must maintain it, fostering a perpetual celebration within our hearts. We should delight the trees, the birds, and the animals. Not every moment is akin to a sunrise, nor does every occasion call for a melodious Western tune. With just a small bamboo flute in hand, beautiful melodies can resonate from its four holes. Signs of happiness should reside in our hearts, goodness in our minds, and memories should snow upon us. God did not create humans devoid of love or forbid them from experiencing joy. God is displeased when humans are unhappy.

Each morning, we are presented with two choices: to embrace happiness throughout the day or to endure the passage of time in agony. Happiness is our birthright, an inherent part of our nature. Suffering is not meant for everyone; it is transient, coming and going. Let us create happiness, limitless. We must train our minds to perceive the lotus of Manasa Sarovara even amidst the grass. Survival does not hinge on money; rather, it requires the skill to cultivate small joys in a generous heart. Witnessing the sight of Lord Krishna is not the same as entering Vrindavan, but Vrindavan will grant us that divine vision. It is where the Supreme Being resides, and everything within it—the plants, flowers, wind, and water—conveys a message. Keep an open mind, that's all!
If Lord Krishna pervades within us, the entire universe appears dark to our eyes. If we do not internalize the presence of God with heartfelt devotion, how can we witness His existence in the external world? Can God be separated from eternal happiness? If we sprinkle a bit of happiness upon others, it will return to us twofold. Only those who comprehend the secret of life can smile for the rest of their lives. The Geetacharya declares that we are the sages, and we are our favourites. Suffering and responsibility are inherent in everyone's life. The world may seem like a ghostly illusion, and everything may feel like an insurmountable ocean. The mind may be overwhelmed with despair. It is precisely in those moments that we should learn to change our mindset, smile, and embrace life like a child whose tears have been wiped away and forgotten. Embrace the world, and greet everyone with a smile.

 Do you aim at going ahead of other people or to perform better than your capacity?  When we compete, we cannot remain happy because of constant insecurity and fear that someone else might go ahead. So even on achieving top ranks, there is insecurity.

Competition creates stress, anxiety, jealousy, hatred and moves us away from happiness. Co-operation earns blessings and makes us successful. Success is not about racing ahead and being Number One. Success is measured by our joy, health, beautiful relationships and our achievements. Co-operation is natural for us, so let’s live the natural way. Today, remind yourself you will find constantly better yourself but not compete or compare with others. Make co-operation and not a competition as your nature.

Society always encouraged us to compete and compare. We adopted the belief that life is a competition. But no matter how well we did, there was always someone with a bigger house, a better gadget or a higher position. Let us understand that no one is better; we are different. Remind yourself you are a happy being. Perform to the best of your capacity. Compare only with your previous performance. Compete with no one, but co-operate with everyone around you. Co-operate by creating good thoughts for them, co-operate by using encouraging words, co-operate by sharing what you know, co-operate by caring for everyone. Always remember your life is your journey, to your destination, at your speed, using your capacity, and based on your values. From today, get off the race, focus on our path and move at a comfortable pace. By sharing what you know, healthy relationships will be created, and you will be successful in many ways.

Change Choices

Sometimes to grow and to truly change your life, you have to make difficult choices. To thrive and become better physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually often times is painful. You get so comfortable being uncomfortable that you settle for less when you really are destined for greatness.

Don’t let past mistakes or failures define who you are because your past doesn’t dictate what your future will be. When you make your plan of transformation remember to visualize… see the end goal, the end results of success. Map out your storybook of triumph.

Whether you start a business, anything major worth achieving means it will take time, discipline, focus, resilience, and determination on your part. If you quit, you never know what could have been.

When the unexpected nature of life comes at you full force – cancer, divorce, death of a loved one, job lost – it will test your faith, but in these difficult times you will see what you are made of when everything changes dramatically.

Life will often throw you off balance to the point where you start playing the pity game. Everyone has a right to take a little time to wallow in their grief. But then there will come a time when you will have to stop playing the pity game and start taking 100% responsibility for your life and choices you have made.

Your dreams and goals are your responsibility, so if you’re not where you want to be in life, don’t continue to blame your parents, boss, spouse, children, siblings, friends, government, or God. Instead, even on your darkest days, take just a moment to find a bit of happiness and gratitude.

In order to better yourself, and live your best life, you must be willing to learn, grow and change. Let go of anyone or anything that doesn’t add to your growth. To continue to have toxic people in your life or to continue to engage in negative and self-defeating actions or behaviors will put you in the same spot one year from now.

Be mindful that in your journey to transform your life you will be met with backstabbers, naysayers, those will clearly won’t see your vision, and those who will call you crazy for daring to dream big. Remember – live your life fearlessly and free.

Here are my final thoughts as you continue on with your journey to happiness, success and greatness. Never let mishaps, mistakes or missed steps derail your dreams. When you stumble and fall, you may be bloody and bruised with a few broken bones, but don’t let that stop you. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and then push on toward the finish line.

Keeping The Balance With Ease

We are all action-conscious at times, forgetting that all the actions are performed by the inner being or soul.Actions may seem to be performed by our hands; words may seem to be spoken by our tongue and everything we see and hear seems to done by our eyes and ears. But, always remember, to keep a balance of all our actions and to maintain a positive and powerful as well as detached state of mind which does not get disturbed, we need to remember one thing. The hands, tongue, eyes and ears, all of them are being controlled by the soul or the real me. I am not Mr. X or Ms. Y. That is the name of the physical body or the physical costume I wear. The real I is the invisible being of spiritual energy or non-physical light – the soul. 

With this kind of soul-consciousness, I will look at all my actions and words from a distance and not be worried too much in their involvement. Things can go wrong at times. Work may go in the wrong direction, people can at times be negative towards us and our physical body can be ill at times. Also, there will be lot of actions to be completed at times. All this will happen at times. Also, there will be days when there is lots to do. But, if we remain soul-conscious, or in touch with the inner being, remembering our spiritual qualities and powers, we will be remain at peace and in control. So, work hard, have beautiful relationships full of love and happiness and excel in every sphere of life. At the same time, remember to keep the balance by remaining introverted and detached. This is the key to contentment and a stress free lifestyle full of calmness and self-esteem

Comparisons – The Cause of Sibling Rivalry And Low Self Esteem

Children born in the same family, have similar present environment, same parents, but both are carrying a bundle of sanskars of many past births and their own karmic accounts. One could be introvert, the other extrovert; one could be brilliant at studies, the other creative; one could be sincere, the other lazy… it is because of the sanskars which the two souls are carrying before they came into the same family. Comparison between them is therefore not justified. When we appreciate one more than the other, even if the intention is motivation, it creates deep wounds. The child grows up feeling that the parents love the other child more. How much ever you try to explain that you love them equal, the wound is very deep. If one child was appreciated more, means the parents love that child more. This becomes the cause of sibling rivalry. The child considers his sibling to be the cause of his parents not loving him. This child grows up with an inferiority complex, and the other grows up with a superiority complex, and always tends to dominate the other one. Comparison and criticism become the main reasons because of which the child does not develop a strong self respect.

Never compare your child to the sibling or friends. Appreciate the qualities of each individually and help them to create new sanskars. The appreciation, motivation and creation of the new sanskar has to be done in individual capacity without references to anyone else. This helps in making the child emotionally strong and develops a high self esteem. Let us take a decision, from today to never compare anyone. Each one’s past is different and so even if everything in the present is identical, there is no comparison.

When We Change, Others Change

Living a life full of many different types of relationships sometimes brings with it different types of challenges and relationships can become a test of our mental strength when what we expect from others is not what we receive.

Expectations from others can sometimes burden us so much that at times we can find people extremely difficult to deal with. Also, we may lose interest in our lives to an extent, difficult to imagine.

There was once a king who ruled a very big kingdom, which was full of different types of people, who were not only different in their roles but also very different in their natures and personalities. The king sometimes wondered that I am not able to satisfy so many different people because everyone has different expectations from me. At the same time, his different expectations from the people of his kingdom were immense and at times it became difficult for him to experience peace and inner stability while handling their concerns and demands. A minister of the king gave him a suggestion that instead of trying to focus on everyone’s desires and what they wanted, you be your good self and focus on playing your role in the best possible way and leave the rest to happen as it happens.

Many times, it’s not about making the effort to change others but it’s changing yourself which brings positive results. This is because it is your change which inspires others to change. Remember everyone will not act or behave as we want and sometimes it can be difficult to cope with this. But if we remain determined in our positive behaviour and change, they will, after seeing our change, over a period of time, begin to realize their mistakes and become the way you expect them to be

A Higher Purpose at Every Step

A very important aspect of keeping a higher purpose in every action, even if that action is a very ordinary action like Preparing food or driving a vehicle or working on your Mobile or computer, is keeping a higher consciousness. A higher consciousness means a positive state of mind, a state of mind full of mental strength and determination, full of the surety of success and along with that very stable and fearless. Also, a higher consciousness means a mind full of only positive and necessary thoughts and no negative and unnecessary thoughts. So, you need to check and keep such a higher mental state, which will always bring you victory at every step, because where there is the inner power of faith, victory is guaranteed. Keeping a state of mind focused only the actions you are performing and taking care that the actions are performed well, is not enough to get success in the actions alone.
Example - if you are working on a project in your workplace, and you have various tasks to perform in the project. Taking care of all those tasks is natural and you should and will look after them, but if you keep an ordinary consciousness, then there will be more obstacles in the tasks and it will even take longer to complete. Also, there will be more problems and issues of differences of personalities in interactions with people involved in the project. So, in such a case, if everyone involved in the task would begin their day with something good to read, some spiritual wisdom, some positive thoughts, some food for the mind, then the project and all its tasks would be done much sooner. Also, there would be greater amount of success in them.

So, a higher consciousness means a higher purpose for the mind. Over-thinking about a task and becoming stressed about it is a sign of an ordinary purpose. A higher purpose means a positively empowered mind which thinks above the ordinary day-to-day tasks.

As much as Christmas is a season of joy and excitement, it is also a time for radiating love and forgiveness. Why is it so difficult for us to forgive others? Sometimes, even years after it has happened; sometimes even after they have apologized; why can we not forgive? We hold them responsible for our pain and because we do not heal our self we continue to hold on to the pain. Replaying the moment again and again on our mind, we emotionally abuse our self; we punish our self for their mistakes. Forgiving someone means that we do not allow the person or the situation to live on our mind any more. We understand that we harmed our self more and longer than they did. Let us not carry our wounds into the New Year. They harmed us, but we create the pain and we can heal our self. I forgive myself, I forgive them, the karmic account is over.

The Christmas Tree symbolizes humanity. Green represents life, nourishment and freshness. The trunk reminds that we were all united in one religion of peace, love and truth. We later divided as branches into different religions and each religion branched out further, as represented by twigs. The leaves correspond to souls of The Tree of Humanity and the Shining Star on top symbolizes the Supreme Soul. Decorating the Christmas Tree inspires us to decorate the soul with compassion, love and truth. The lights remind us to illuminate the soul with spiritual wisdom. Santa Claus coming through the soot covered chimney symbolizes the Supreme God Father who comes in these times of darkness into the emotionally polluted world to give us gifts we ask Him for every day. The gifts of purity, unity, love and peace. Let us shift from Invoking Angels to Being an Angel. An angel playing the role of a parent, a spouse, a boss, a friend or a stranger on the road. When we shift from seeking love and happiness to giving it to all unconditionally, we heal and empower souls and the world. Become the Angel the world is looking for.

The Invisible Impressions That Shape Me

While the mind and intellect are two faculties of the soul which play their role on the surface of our consciousness; at a deeper level, hidden beneath these two faculties, there lies a third faculty commonly called the sanskaras. The sanskaras are not only a storehouse of personality traits, as we commonly know it to be, but a storehouse of millions and millions of impressions or imprints. Such a large number of impressions are created by millions of experiences that I go through my sense organs not only in this life but in all my lifetimes. Everything that I hear, see, touch, taste, etc. I process or analyze or summarize in my own unique way; basically, I give the experiences a unique form depending on my personality before this form gets stored in the form of impressions inside me. I even process my subtle experiences, which are in the form of thoughts and feelings.

This process of experiencing and processing takes place during each and every second of my life including the time I sleep when my mind may not be experiencing a lot but it is busy processing the physical and subtle experiences of the day that has gone by and storing the processed information in the form of impressions. From this, one can get an idea of the magnitude of the database of impressions stored within me, the being. These imprints which are unique to me, make up my sanskaras and shape up my unique personality in a cyclic process. My personality shapes what type of impressions are created out of my experiences and the impressions, in turn, shape my personality, my thoughts, words and actions e.g. if I constantly keep the company of people who gossip, a large number of respective impressions based on the experience of gossiping keep getting stored inside me, which in turn influence my personality, the personality characteristic gets stronger and over a period of time I do not find anything wrong with it and indulge in it more and more. As a result, more such impressions get stored. Thus it is a cyclic process.

One who read the future

A man who lived a long time ago believed that he could read the future in the stars. He called himself an Astrologer and spent his time at night gazing at the sky. He was always busy worrying about future and villagers often came to him, hoping to know what their future holds.

One evening he was walking along the open road outside the village. His eyes were fixed on the stars. He thought he saw there that the end of the world was at near. He lost in his thoughts about the future. As he was looking at the stars, he kept walking without looking down. Suddenly, he fell into a ditch full of mud and water.

He was sinking in the muddy water, and madly trying to claw at the slippery sides of the hole in his effort to climb out. He was unable to crawl out and fearing for his life, he started screaming for help. His cries for help soon brought the villagers running.

As they pulled him out of the mud, one of them said, “You pretend to read the future in the stars, and yet you fail to see what is at your feet! This may teach you to pay more attention to what is right in front of you, and let the future take care of itself.”

“What use is it,” said another, “to read the stars, when you can’t see what’s right here on the earth?”

Moral: We all want our future to be bright and happy, but the time doesn’t stop for anyone. Each tomorrow turns into today, your present is also a part your future. There is always a tomorrow to look forward to and improve, but you can’t go back to yesterday. So, maintain the balance of your present life while you work for a better tomorrow.

Luck plays a role in our lives.

We can't control when the full moon appears, when spring arrives, or when a rainbow shows up. Kindred spirits don't come when we expect them. Sometimes, getting what we want doesn't make us happy. True happiness comes when we appreciate what we have. To reach our goals, we must make the most of every chance we get.

Opportunities don't just land in our laps. We need to actively search for them and work hard. Grabbing those opportunities is key to success.

In the Ramayana, Hanuman tirelessly searched for Sita and faced many challenges before succeeding. Even a squirrel seized its moment and won Rama's love. These stories are now part of history.

Lord Krishna helped Arjuna during the Kurukshetra war, guiding him away from darkness and teaching him valuable lessons. Some say luck brings opportunities, but it's more about standing tall despite setbacks. Life isn't easy, but seeing obstacles as chances to grow spiritually helps us move forward.

Some feel luck is against them or that someone is blocking their opportunities. But what we get in life is often what we deserve, according to scriptures.

We should accept life's gifts with gratitude, considering them blessings from a higher power. Using self-effort to convince and achieve our goals is crucial.

Doing good deeds and having a noble approach attracts divine blessings. We should use opportunities not just for ourselves but for society's welfare. Charity and community service are divine acts leading to eternal glory.

As the mighty warrior of great strength grows older, time passes swiftly, and in old age, he becomes weak and feeble. In youth, he shines like a star among his peers but with the onset of old age, his memory fades, and his intellectual abilities decline. In the midst of birth and death, everyone is bound by the limitations of the body.

The wise realize that the moment that has passed cannot be regained, and they do not boast of their achievements. They strive to lead a virtuous life, guided by selflessness, and they believe in a power that drives them to do something extraordinary. They consider that power as divine and surrender to it humbly. They understand that life is a divine play and embrace it with gratitude. They constantly cherish the fragrance of love and friendship. In the midst of birth and death, during the time of transition, they maintain a balanced mind, free from attachment and jealousy. They make their lives joyful by contemplating the true value of human existence. In joy and sorrow, they honor their beloved friends, and their lives become filled with happiness and the fragrance of affection. They should continuously relish the essence of life. In the midst of birth and death, one must recognize the insignificance of worldly attachments and envy, and focus on nurturing a mind that is complete with sublime thoughts. Such individuals are ignorant who waste their lives without realizing the value of every moment.

The instantaneous transformation of thoughts into immediate action is the hallmark of the wise. Without delay, they put into practice the thoughts that have arisen in their minds. They share their wealth of knowledge with others, without altering the goals set by those who provide guidance. They enlighten as mentors, shining the light on their path. They do not succumb to uncontrollable circumstances or commit mistakes while striving towards their objectives. Even in adverse situations, they do not lose their composure and instead find solutions. Shedding tears only worsens the situation, and crying does not solve the problem. In such moments, they must remain steadfast and not let the situation overwhelm them. The true essence of life lies in realizing that every moment is valuable. They should strive to avoid wasting time and make the most of each moment, always radiating the brilliance of their knowledge without succumbing to external circumstances.

Embrace every moment

The value of human life is immeasurable, often revered as rare and extraordinary. How we choose to live holds greater significance than how long we live. The cycle of sunrises and sunsets persists endlessly, yet we often overlook the fleeting nature of our existence, with each passing day bringing us closer to the inevitable embrace of mortality. Time flows ceaselessly, beyond our control, and while we cannot alter its speed, we can grasp its significance and make the most of its value.

Unfortunately, humans tend to dwell in the past or anxiously ponder the future, rarely residing in the present, as noted by Sri Ramanu. Yesterday can never be reclaimed, and the certainty of tomorrow remains uncertain. Today, however, is our reality, and we should relish it with joy and appreciation. To attain success, we must dwell in the present while employing reason and prudence. We must nurture our dreams and diligently strive to transform them into reality. This requires the immediate establishment of a strong foundation, akin to how Abdul Kalam envisioned constructing the tallest building in the future.

Why hold onto leaves when one has no hands? To make the most of life, one must plan, exercise wisdom, and exercise caution in advance. Prevention takes precedence over cure. If we comprehend the value of life, not a single moment will go to waste. The passage of time alone holds little significance; it is the practice of Sadhvi Yoga that holds true importance, transcending the existence of 8.4 million living beings. The power to achieve lies within the hands of the wise. Ignorance precedes birth and follows death, leaving us with a precious lifetime brimming with profound knowledge. Expressing gratitude towards people who have not treated us well can be difficult, but it can also be a powerful tool for personal growth and development. Instead of holding onto negative emotions and resentments, we can see these individuals as teachers who have helped us become more robust and wiser.

For example, maybe a boss criticised your work in a way that made you feel small and inadequate. It was painful and uncomfortable, but it also pushed you to work harder, learn more, and ultimately succeed in your career. Or perhaps a friend betrayed your trust and caused a rift in your relationship, but it also taught you to be more discerning and to value loyalty and honesty in your connections with others.

Of course, this is not to say that we should tolerate or condone abusive or harmful behaviour from others. It is essential to set boundaries and protect ourselves from those who may wish us harm. It becomes ready to support all your activities throughout the day. Meditate for 15 minutes to charge yourself and your mind by connecting with God, the Supreme Power House. Emerge your inner powers of peace, happiness, and energy to be used in every scene. Also, plan to work on yourself during the day, change a samskara, forgive someone, forget the past, and be nice to someone. Choose, decide and implement. Read uplifting, inspiring messages for 15 minutes to help your mind create pure, perfect thoughts. Do not check social media, emails, newspapers or watch the news for the first one hour. Your morning time is your time, reserved for your nurturing. You will see a huge difference all this makes to your mood, energy, attitude and efficiency during the day.

It never yells at you and says, "you took a wrong turn, you idiot!" or why didn't you take the last left, you moron!" or scream ", you never listen to me"!

If it did that, you would probably stop using it. Instead, it just re-routes and shows you the following best way to get to your destination.
Its primary interest is to get you to your goal and not make you feel bad about your mistake.

Happiness Is An Inner State Of Being

We were always taught that our happiness is dependent on something or someone. When we achieve our goal or when we make people happy then we will be happy. Our focus therefore was always to make others happy, because we thought - only when they are happy, will we be happy. Very often we could be under stress, angry or in pain, but we try to make others happy. Let us remember we can take care of family and friends, do everything for them physically, but emotionally we will only be radiating pain, because we are in pain. To give happiness to them, we have to be happy within.

Let’s clean our thoughts, clear our emotional blockages and create a happy state of inner being, because only then can we radiate happiness to others. It’s not – we will be happy, when they are happy; truth is – if we are happy then we will give happiness to them.

Let’s check how many times today we say I will be happy when ….. and change it to I am happy while …. Work towards creating your own happiness independent of the outcome.

Celebrating In-Dependence

We all want freedom and independence but is it only about having our own house, our own room, our own money and our own decisions. We all seek political, financial, physical and social freedom, but after having it all, are we truly independent? Let us explore our emotional freedom today. To experience independence, a good starting point is to identify our dependencies. If there is anything for which we say I cannot do without or a person for whom we say I cannot live without or a sanskar for which we say It’s not in my control, then we are emotionally dependent. Our basic list of dependencies would include – mobile, internet, television, coffee, alcohol, smoking, particular types of food, shopping etc.
A little more checking will reveal our deeper attachments and dependencies –
1. People and situations should be my way
2. People’s approval and appreciation
3. My opinion is right and yours is wrong
... we can complete the list with all those things for which our mind gets disturbed.

Let’s ask our self do we get hurt or angry always? The answer will be Depends On the person who made the mistake … Depends On what they did … Depends On how they behaved. We believe that our emotions are dependent on who they are and what they did. The truth is it Depends On our state of mind and the response we create irrespective of who they are and what they did. We are enslaved by our own belief systems and it is time to free our self and awaken to a new way of thinking and living. Swa-Rajya means to be a ruler or master over our mind and senses. In-Dependence means to be dependent only on our inner qualities and powers to respond to any behaviour or situation. In-Dependence means we have the power to give blessings to those who betrayed us; we can share and care for those who rejected us; we can co-operate with those who are jealous of us; we can be calm and soft with those who are shouting at us. Let’s create a new belief system - people and situations have No Connection to my response. I have the choice and the power to create the right feeling and behaviour each time and for each one.

Ability To Face - A Reflection Of Our Confidence And Courage

The ability to face gives us the ability to focus on the solution and resolve it, but if nothing can be done we simply accept the situation with dignity. We do not get entangled, do not magnify, do not blame or do not complain about the situation. The ability is a reflection of our confidence and courage. It does not have even traces of anger or aggression, but uses assertion and discipline. Life at times presents unpleasant situations where the ability to tolerate or accept may not be sufficient. We need to step up and face them with courage. The courage to stand up for what is right and beneficial comes naturally with spiritual empowerment. We do not fear people or situations; we hold on to our values like a compass and move forward confidently. Using the ability to face removes deep-rooted fears of our death or that of a family member. It also helps us face and cope with loss of our possessions, position or breakup in relationships, we understand what is eternal and what is temporary.

It is important to discriminate when to use the ability to face (confront) and when to use the ability to adjust –

(1) When there is difference of sanskars, opinions and perspectives we need to adjust, not confront. But today we are confronting people for such differences and depleting the strength of our relationships.

(2) When we know about our own weak or wrong sanskar, we need to confront our sanskar, not adjust. We need to constantly work on it and not give up until we finish or change it. If we give up, that sanskar grows stronger and weakens our will power. Let us pause and ask our self - Am I adjusting and living with my uncomfortable sanskars but am not adjusting with other people's weak sanskars.

(3) If there is abuse, exploitation or compromise of values and principles, we need to confront, not adjust. If we adjust and accept these for social pressures, it is a sign of our lack of ability to face. We need to rise above their influences and do what is right.

A very important aspect of a higher purpose in our lives is making every moment of our lives so beautiful and positive that it is remembered by each and every person interacting with us, in our homes, at our workplace or in any other sphere of life. You prepare immensely to ensure that your speech delivery is good, the content you share is appreciated and also everyone likes listening to your words. Don’t you think more than just once about how you present yourself in front of many people? Why? Because it matters to you how people see and perceive you. In the same manner, when we perform some other actions in the whole day, take care and ensure that everything you do is of a higher quality and not just ordinary.

Make every action so special and so full of good qualities that others like every moment of being with you and not only feel happy in your company but also full of peace, love and power and also the truth. Some people are very pure and truthful and just being with them is a beautiful experience. What makes them different from others? They carry treasures of beautiful personality characteristics like humility, love and care as well as concern for others which are unmatched. A Higher Purpose At Every Step

A beautiful and important purpose of our lives is to make everyday important and worthwhile and also make sure that each moment of our lives is to spend on valuable method.
How does one ensure and how does one know the right way of spending time? Suppose I am visiting a friend of mine and I will have a few things to discuss with him about our lives. In such a case, is this the only purpose of my meeting or can I have a higher purpose or should have a higher purpose? A higher purpose means being a virtue filled person having virtues or qualities expressed through my words and actions when I interact with my friend. Also, do I give the experience of my virtues to the other person or are they experienced only by me? Another aspect of a higher purpose in this type of meeting would be giving happiness and giving and receiving blessings. After such an interaction, do I experience contentment at the level of the heart or a deep-rooted feeling of happiness of having contributed to the other person in a higher way? Or do I just feel superficially happy for a short period of time and the interaction is forgotten? These are some of the few things to observe and make a part of every action. We have given an example of interaction or meeting a person, which is something we do the whole day - we meet a number of different types of people all the time.

Let us look for higher purposes in everything we do. Let us give, share and donate our inner treasures of peace, love and joy to everyone we meet and let us experience these treasures in every action that we perform. Just living from morning to night with no higher purpose is almost living like machines, just performing actions, with temporary purposes.

I walked into a hotel and after going to the menu, I ordered some food. After about 20mins a group of guys and ladies walked in & ordered theirs. To my dismay, these folks got served first. I watched as they began to eat & laugh heartily. I even overhead one of them bragging about how he's connected to everyone in the hotel and I felt mocked. I decided to leave. Unable to take it anymore, I called the waiter. He calmly told me : " yours is a special order, being prepared by the chief chef himself. Theirs orders were prepared hurriedly by students on attachment because the top chefs are busy with yours. That's why they were served first. Please have some juice as you wait". I calmed down & waited patiently.
Shortly after, my meal was served by 6 waiters. Unknown to me, the owner of the hotel (who happened to be an old long lost friend of mine) saw me when I entered and decided to surprise me. She changed my simple meal to a five-star meal. The party at the other table were shocked. They couldn't stop staring. Suddenly they were the ones murmuring, asking why they didn't get that kind of service and meal.
Such is life ! Some people are ahead of you and are eating now, laughing at you and talking about how they are smarter, wiser and better than you, how they are well connected , blessed, have money and are enjoying life. You are waiting tirelessly wondering why its taking so long to breakthrough, You endure mockery and humiliation. May be you've contemplated suicide, gone through depression or suffered severe mental anxiety. Don't you worry ! The owner of the world has seen you & doesn't want you to be served a simple meal like those making a mockery of you.
You're waiting long because yours is a special meal. It takes time to prepare. And only chief chefs prepare them.
Wait for your meal and relax. When it comes that laughing party will be silenced for good.

Negative Control And Positive Influence

The power of influence in relationships is extraordinary, but it practically disappears when we try to exercise control and force.

You can influence anyone positively in many ways:

- encouraging,
- sharing,
- listening,
- communicating in the right way.

In negative control we generate stress, frustration and anger. In positive influence the energy flows in a relaxed way with harmony and is not threatening, respecting each one for their specialty and allowing each one to be as they are.

In order to influence positively we need the power of discrimination and judgement in relation to what to say and what to do e.g. when you believe that the other person is the problem; generally the problem is not what others say or do, but rather how you perceive them. The way that you judge is what creates your negative feelings about them. We have the choice to perceive others as a threat, as a problem, or as an opportunity; an opportunity for learning, for change, for dialogue and understanding. We can choose to have compassion (kindness); to feel that the other is a problem indicates a lack of compassion.

Creating Positive Circumstances

Why do we find it so hard to create positive circumstances, a positive future in our life? One reason is we all have the tendency to spend most of our time in the past, reliving and replaying our memories. Look back on your average day and you may find that more than 3/4ths of your time is spent in the past (a lot of times without you realizing it). Not only do we try to relive the past, but we also attempt to change it! We attempt the impossible and, in so doing, we live in very small cycles where tomorrow tends to turn out similar to yesterday, and then we wonder why we do not have the power to change our lives. It feels like we do not have the will-power, we do not have the ability to change the circumstances in our lives, our destiny.

The past cannot be relived; it cannot be changed. The past is like a cupboard of old files. When you arrive at work every day, do you step into such a cupboard and spend the day there? The past is a great resource for learning and sometimes, a resource for useful information, but it is not a place to live. We can build on the old, but we cannot rewrite it. The future is the result of what we think, feel and do today. If today is the same as yesterday (because of constantly thinking about yesterday) then tomorrow will look and feel like yesterday and in this way, we feel we are stuck in a web and we get frustrated. We need to let go of the past if we want the future to shape up positively, different from yesterday, which is negative at times! The past is past. Drop it and keep dropping it.

Variety

A very important aspect of our lives is variety. Variety means doing a lot of different things in life which increase our enthusiasm and joy. It means loving every moment of the day by making it different. Whenever you have spent many days in your life doing one particular thing or working on one particular task, ask yourself am I becoming single task oriented? Or do I, while performing the task, also take care that my work is accompanied by periods of creative activities like reading, meditating, interacting and spreading all that I know, to others and learning more than I know now?

There was once a king who loved the role he was playing and also gave a lot of love to the people he ruled. There was no one in his kingdom who did not like him or respect him but yet boredom was something he had to face repeatedly. The same routine was something he experienced every day and he did not know how to overcome that. So, one day, he decided to spend a fixed time every day talking to people in his kingdom discussing the problems that they were facing. And also, he started fixing small targets in his life, like ensuring that by this particular day, this particular work will get done which can also be termed as goal setting. He realized soon that by filling his life with the flavour of ambition, which in small amounts, is extremely useful for progress, his life was no longer repetitive. In fact, life became something he enjoyed, as long as the ambition was kept in limits and he did not overcome over-ambitious, which could lead to stress. Love for each task you perform and at the same time different tasks during the day is the secret to a happiness filled life. A spiritual perspective to variety in life is filling your mind with new thoughts every day and maintaining a pure and positive mindset. At the same time, let this positive mindset or consciousness be differently positive every day, by giving the mind new instructions every day.
