🌟 When our actions defy our beliefs 🌟
Al-Hasan al-Basree said:
❝I have not seen a certainty, about which there is no doubt – yet which resembles more of a doubt and less certainty – than our certainty about death while our actions are in opposition to it.❞

⚡ The servitude of the Sahaabah in the face of Fitan.
➡️ Indeed Allaah تعالى made the Sahaabah رضي الله عنهم أجمعين an example for those who came after them.
⛔ Everyone remembers the greatest Fitnah which mankind is going to face. The Fitnah of Dajjaal and the great powers WHICH ALLAAH WILL GIVE him.
➡️ He would rule the earth for 40 days. The first day would be like a year, the other would be like a month, and one like a week...
➡️ He would be given the power to cause rain or withhold it.
➡️ He would be given the power to bring a person back to life.
🌺 But what most of us don't remember is that when the Prophet ﷺ was mentioning all this, the Companions main concern was towards the Salaah? They said: "Allaah's Messenger, would one day's prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year?" Thereupon he ﷺ said: ❝No, but you must make an estimate of time (and then offer the prayers).❞
➡️ The Dajjaal is gonna do what he is supposed to do, but the Companions were concerned about their own actions! How should they carry out the acts of Ibaadah even during such turmoil?
➡️ This is true servitude. They knew that delivery from the turmoil is only through Ibaadah and reliance upon Allaah.
➡️ The issue is not about living upon Islaam only, but also to die upon it. As Allaah تعالى said:
{O you who have believed, fear Allaah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]}
📚 [Surah aal-Imraan (3): 102]
➡️ The Sahaabah showed us the principles that one should adopt while believing in the matters of Unseen.
➡️ They showed us the way to true servitude.
➡️ They showed us that pure hearts are the ones that easily submit.
⛔ But since we have distanced ourselves from the Qur’aan and have let our desires to prevail, the truth became obscure and we have started to fear the creation instead of the Creator.
Duaa in itself is worship, and Allaah تعالى loves that we supplicate to Him for our needs, invoke Him to remove the harm that has befallen us, beseech Him for His Favors and Blessings, and beg Him for His Mercy and Forgiveness. Being guided towards making Du
aa is itself a big success:Umar bin al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه said: “I am not concerned about the response, but what concerns me is the Du
aa (itself). If the Duaa is inspired*, then the answer (surely) follows it.”
aa and also teaches him on how to make it. Like how Allaah تعالى taught Aadam عليه السلام the words of repentance and thereafter forgave him:
[Iqtidhaa al-Siraat al-Mustaqeem (2/706)]
* Meaning: Allaah تعالى guides the person towards making Du
{Then Aadam received from his Lord Words. And his Lord pardoned him (accepted his repentance). Verily, He is the One Who forgives (accepts repentance), the Most Merciful.} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 37]
[Note: Allaah knows best, but this statement of Umar رضي الله عنه does not mean that a person will receive new words. Whatever has already been mentioned in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah are sufficient for us.
Abdul Rahmaan bin Naaser al-Sa
Example: from the Qur’aan:
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
{Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!}
[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 201]
And from the Sunnah:
اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى، وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى
“O Allaah! I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity and self- sufficiency” [Saheeh Muslim (6566)]
Shaikh dee رحمه الله said about this Du
aa:
“(The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم) supplicated to (Allaah تعالى) with four words in which are gathered all the goodness for the servant (of Allaah) in regards to the Deen and the Dunya.”
So what is to be understood is that:
a) The person recalls the Sunnah of making the Duaa - i.e. starting the Du
aa by Praising Allaah تعالى and sending prayers upon the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. A lot of people make haste and ignore this Sunnah.
b) The person recalls the proper Duaa at the required time.
aa from being accepted. Example he should avoid sins, Haraam consumption, and avoid asking for a thing which is in itself Haraam (like breaking up of ties of kinship).]
Example: It has become a habit of some people that when they face some difficulty, they say:
لا حولَ ولا قوَّة إلا بالله
“There is no might or power except with Allaah.”
But what has been legislated is that when faced with a difficulty, a person should say:
إنَّا لله، وإنَّا إليه راجعون
“To Allaah we belong to Him is our return.”
Another example: When in anger, the Sunnah is to seek Allaah’s refuge from the accursed Shaytaan, but instead, some people send prayers upon the Prophet
c) The person avoids all that which becomes a hindrance in the Du
The tears that roll down your face…Allaah is watching it!
Your broken heart…Allaah knows about it!
The grief that made you to seclude yourself…Allaah is well aware of it!
Allaah, nothing from your affairs is hidden from Him!
At the peak of your loneliness, Allaah is with you!
Leave your affairs for Allaah to manage and move forward with your life…assuredly and confidently, being certain that no one has the ability to close the door which Allaah تعالى has opened for you!

{Say: "Who is he who can protect you from Allaah if He intends to harm you, or intends mercy on you?" And they will not find, besides Allaah, for themselves any protector or any helper.}
📚[Surah al-Ahzaab (33): 17]
Whatever Allaah has taken, it is with Wisdom. And whatever He has allowed to remain, it is out of Mercy. A Believer will never lose as long as he is between the Wisdom of his Lord and His Mercy!

Abu Waqid Al-Laithi رضي الله عنه said: We went out with Allaah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم on the campaign to Hunain while we had just left disbelief (Kufr) for Islaam.
The Mushrikeen had a Sidra (lote-tree) that they would stay there and hang their arms on, called Dhaat Anwaatt. When we passed a Sidra, we asked: "O Messenger of Allaah, won't you make for us another Dhaat Anwaatt just like their Dhaat Anwaatt?"
Allaah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Allaahu Akbar (Allaah is the Most Great)! By the One Who holds my soul in His Hand, verily these are the ways of earlier nations; you have said exactly as Bani Israel said to Moosaa عليه السلام:
{Make for us a god just as their gods.} 📚[Surah al-Araaf (7): 138]"
