🔼 Boost Email Engagement Up To 20% With Data-Driven Send Time Optimization!
Sending your email campaign at the right time can have a significant impact on your engagement performance. After testing, you can expect up to a 20% increase in key metrics.
🔎 Understand your audience:
The best time to send depends on your subscribers' behaviors. Professionals may prefer to receive emails during their breaks or in the evening, while a younger audience may be more active throughout the day. Their buying lifecycle and other factors may also influence the optimal timing. Testing is key!
👨💻 Testing beats guesswork:
Different content, external factors, and evolving audience preferences can skew results. To ensure accurate results, run A/B tests with the same campaign, subject line, and day of the week. Keep everything constant except the send time. Klaviyo makes it easy!
📊 Klaviyo's built-in A/B testing for send times:
Set up your campaign as usual, then add variations to configure the send time A/B test. Klaviyo will automatically split the audience between the variations. You can create multiple variations, but make sure that each variation receives a sufficient number of subscribers for statistically significant results.
🏆 Analyze the results:
Give your campaign enough time to collect data (usually 24-72 hours). In Klaviyo, navigate to the campaign and go to the "Variations" section. You'll find performance metrics for each variant, including open rate, click-through rate and purchase order data.
⏰ Go deeper with Smart Send Time:
If you have a larger audience (over 20,000 subscribers) and want Klaviyo's help in determining the optimal send time, explore Klaviyo's "Smart Send Time" optimization feature.
😏 Pro tip:
Start by testing the Open Rate, then move on to the Click Rate and finally to the Order Rate. We recommend to do a test with at least 5 campaigns to get clear and correct results. If you can't choose the winner after sending a few campaigns, continue with a few more.

🤫 How to advertise crypto project if all major ad platforms including Meta, Google, Tiktok are restricted from crypto ads?
Quick hint - this actually works for all prohibited niches that have troubles running official ads - Keto, CBD, Weightloss and any other casino etc.
First of all it’s important to note where crypto audience is? There are big communities in:
🟢Telegram
🟢Discord
🟢Twitter
🟢Instagram (for the Christ sake, but still)
So know how you can engage people on these platforms if you have 0 organic following and reach?
▶️DMs
I know I know, it’s spammy and everyone hates it. But on the other hand they are:
🟢Cheap
🟢Direct to inbox
🟢Scalable
Sounds even better then the ads. Even targeting cam be quite powerful:
🟢Discord - you can target server followers
🟢Telegram - members of the public groups
🟢Twitter - followers of specific Twitter profiles in your niche
🟢Instagram - followers of pages. There is caveat - they don’t allow to parse big account like Kim Kardashian these days. But we can live with that.
Now to the most interesting part - the pricing and the scale. Here is a breakdown per channel from our partners we worked with:
IG DMs + Push Notifications:
- 50k for $5 / 1k
- 250k for $4.2 / 1k
- 1mil for $3.5 / 1k
Telegram DMs:
- 10k for $40 / 1k
- 50k for $36 / 1k
- 100k for $32 / 1k
Discord DMs:
- 50k for $7.5 / 1k
- 250k for $7 / 1k
- 1mil for $6.2 / 1k
Twitter DMs:
- 50k for $7.5 / 1k
- 250k for $7 / 1k
- 1mil for $6.2 / 1k
WhatsApp DM:
- Prices depends on the country. Starts from $80 / 1k
That’s not the ad, but service we use and recommended. Hit me up as @iamgalba I’ll help you set with these.
Have a great weekend folks!
🆘 What’s causing high CPMs and CPCs on Meta ads?
Someone in our closed DTC marketing community asked the question:
Hey friends! Hope everyone is having a good week thus far. I am seeing a consistent raise of CPM, CPC, and CPA over this entire month even when combating the raise directly with new offers, heavy discounts, and purchase incentives (free prods, free shipping). Is anyone else experiencing this lull / slowdown?
🥸 Quoting my answer:
We see this across the board for some brands but decrease in COMs for others. So hardly seasonality or rise of auction cost.
Rise of CPMs often connected to your page score, ad account score and ad quality/saturation.
Page score is easy to check - it’s something Meta shows transparently.
Ad account score is not. But if you had many ads rejections recently that could cause in decreasing of your ad account and business manager reputation. That leads to higher CPMs.
For ads saturation- try to launch some brand new ads (image vs video) and check COMs on those.
We partner with Meta so they shared this with us. Taking care of reputation standing with Meta through these 3 points can help to maintain low CPMs that don’t get extra penalties from Meta.
Hope that helps!
🛍Quick hint for all commerce and e-commerce and offline stores.

- Crypto payments are getting more popular
- It’s easy to implement with Shopify apps like Coinbase Commerce gateway
- It adds a few % of conversion rate
- You can start accumulate more crypto holdings easy. Just don’t sell what the customers paying you
➕Be like "Das Grüne Gold", a CBD store in Görlitz, Germany, accepts bitcoins. You can pay with Lightning in his store. “It just keeps getting better and better,” says store owner Nick Kullak.

🔔 What is your top #1 productivity tool?
Mine is definitely Notion. I use it for:
📜 Elegant note-taking
🎨 Bespoke templates for every whim
🎯 Task management
🍾 Collaborative workspaces for high-spirited teamwork
🧩 Seamless integration with my favorite tools
It’s literally a swiss knife.
🔥 One more creation from Midjourney AI.
It is common to say that AI won’t be as creative as Human. But it seems like it’s vice versa.
I think moderation/curation of the content created by AI will be the most valuable skill of the Human.
What do you think?
⏰ After watching it in full (and I highly recommend you do it) here are my key takeaways:
- building funnels - listicles and advertorials for specific target audiences is the key
- you can uncover these segments of audiences by testing different angles and hooks
- you test it against a broad audience at first (sometimes 10% LALs are working well)
- thumb stop rate (3sec / impression) and hold rate (view-through / impression) is an important metrics, but don’t be obsessed with it. It doesn’t mean the best ROAS
- low cost per email subscription is a good indicator of the future performance of the ad for higher AOV brands. Helps to understand early if the creative hit the quality audience
- 1d click is the main indicator of performance
- using tiers for discounts through the holidays protects your margins while making you competitive. You can say up to 30% off and do 10% - 20% - 30% discounts depending on a cart value
⚡️ TikTok ads lead gen for local businesses is huge in 2023. Some of our accounts get dozens of leads daily for as low as $5 per qualified lead
Act on this
🆘 2022 was tough on DTC and 2023 will be hard mode as well.
The attached screenshot shows that even brands like The Honest Company (Jessica Alba) are operating at -10% EBITDA Margin.
Equals losing money.
🔥 CRO Tip #2: How to run a test where 50% of people would see the flat lay as a primary product image/thumbnail on the collection page, and the other 50% would see photos with models.
This also applies to any picture test on the collection page.
1. Create a duplicate product with the image change. Remember to set the inventory!
2. Link the two products with an app. Connected Inventory Shopify app one works fine.
3. Create two collections; your normal collection and a new one that contains your B variant and not your variant.
4. Create a redirect test that redirects 50% of the traffic to the new collection.
That's it. It’s the only proper way to A/B test a different product picture on the collection page.
📊 Don’t underestimate how powerful multichannel marketing is.
We launched this brand a bit over a month ago with Facebook + Google ads augmenting each other for TOF + BOF layers of the funnel.
I’m pretty sure we won’t pull it off for $650 AOV with Facebook nor Google alone.
☄️ Telegram ads rolls out outbound links in ads!
Bad news - it’s till in beta for limited amount of advertisers, but looks exciting.
I checked all the accounts we manage and it is not available yet.
No doubts it will bring many new advertisers to Telegram ads. Those in particular who don’t want to grow Telegram channel but just tap into €2-5 CPMs.
Until that happens - let’s push Telegram ads to grow our audiences as much as possible folks 😎

GA3 is singing down before July 1st 2023 so don't wait before it's too late.
To upgrade to Google Analytics 4:
- Create a Google Analytics account.
- Create a GA4 property and a web data stream.
- Install the Google channel app and follow the instructions to link your GA4 property and automatically setup GA4 tagging.
Simple.
Failure to take action will result in your web traffic no longer being measured by Google Analytics on July 1, 2023 (July 1, 2024 for Analytics 360 properties).
⚠️ It's recommended that you do not remove your Universal Analytics property from your Online Store for at least one month after activating Google Analytics 4 to allow it to gather data.

🥸 Who is Mark Mustermann? And why do you immediately need to delete him from your Klaviyo and Shopify lists.
It's a spam bot creating accounts in bulk and tagging all your Klaviyo flows triggered emails as spam. It gets sneaked through the subscription form, popup, or checkout initiation with the email being filled.
Here is a discussion about it on Shopify forum to confirm that it's a common issue https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/who-is-mark-mustermann/td-p/1415526
And so much more of the others around there https://www.reddit.com/r/shopify/comments/udv9rs/oh_boy_mark_mustermann_is_at_it_again/
How to prevent this in the future? Setup the automation through a free Shopify app called Flow. See the screenshot on how to set it up.
