Hello everyone, its @Anan1211, as some of you may know, earlier this month a private test build of FloydR for Exynos8895 was leaked to the public, it is a scrapped ROM from 2 years ago based on my S9 ROM, due to the leak i was forced to wrap up a basic build, fix what i can and release it, as people have been flashing zips from unknown sources that carry my name, which anyone can put a malware in and people would be mad at me for it.
Nonetheless, this build was scrapped due some unfixable bugs that will be mentioned down below, there will likely be zero updates to this particular ROM, however i will hear the community feedback and see if actually people would rather daily drive a ROM with such critical bugs, or go back to more stable ROMs, based on that i will consider newer oneui versions
Until then, Do not PM asking for bug fixes, help, troubleshooting or any questions related to bugs, general Q&A only please., i put enough work into this base over the past 2 years, a ton of effort went into this build already, and currently i have other obligations to attend to.

So basically the time has come, the big upgrade is here, i proudly present you hadesRom Q v2, a full fledged port of Note9 to Note8, S8 and ofcourse, S8+.
This upgrade took us more than we expected, but in the end it's by far better than v1 with a ton of impossible fixes and exotic features enabled, such as iris.

As you noticed already XDA gone wild with migration probably using an outdated database backup (and not only) which fucked up most of my threads, download links, versioning, instructions and more.
I honestly can't take each thread with more than 100 pages to restore everything so for now i suggest we all wait and see what's getting fixed by them.
Meanwhile i will try to sum up instructions, links and everything else and move to a blogspot template hosted on my own for latest releases and maybe wiki pages for all devices.
If this is not gonna get fixed i can't see other than leaving xda in the future.
TL;DR - XDA is messed, wait a bit more to see what happens, i'll get back when i'll have news.

❗️Some important notes:
▫️Old file website is gone, there is no module there anymore, in order to get further updates get the latest patched manager.
▫️If Google Play Protect prompts for security checks press "Don't send" and proceed with "Install anyway", it will see the app is resigned with a signature they never seen (in Play Store).
▫️Further updates of modules will be automatically pushed daily, every 4h, so the delay between release and pushing updates drastically decreased.
▫️Further updates for Patched GoodLock Manager will be pushed here every once in a while until i find a way to push updates straight to devices, in order to ensure you use the latest manager just check corsica.nu/gl every now and then.

Hey everyone, As you have seen, the rom is finally set to release in the upcoming weeks, after months of hardwork, debugging and fixing, we can finally say V2 is "ready". and will be released this month at last
The rom itself has been evolving since December, and with every delay we made, came more fixes, recently such as Iris, which i personally deemed to be impossible. Then came other significant stability improvements. And finally just last night the bug that has been causing the rom to be delayed week after week was fixed, Bluetooth Audio without breaking half the rom.
we finally managed to make something that works in all scenarios, without any BS or hacks. and with that note, i would like to share with you the current changelog of the V2 build. Please note that this is subject to change before the final release.

As this surfaced i would like to add few things:
1. Users can fuck up even without permissive environment
2. Simply by the fact that you choose to root your phone you're agreeing with the risk of disaster
3. Just because selinux doesn't allow us to run ports of higher android version than officially provided - doesn't make anyone toxic and neither allows one to call devs toxic
4. My favorite one - take it or leave it, if we ship permissive kernels in/with roms we have a good reason (3), if you don't like that then stay away from our work
5. For further security concerns go and install full stock for your device and never barge about it again.

Official ETA for 8895 Q Rom with Android 10 and OneUI 2.5 - somewhere around Christmas (20+ December) in whatever state it will be at that time.
With precious help from my brother Anan the buglist has narrowed down to very few that are mostly camera modes related bugs.
We are still working on it and i have hope that the release will be at least 95% bugless.
In the meantime, if time will allow us, we'll probably throw in a v13 of Pie for people that want a 100% bugless rom, which will probably include all the goodies and knowledge gained since last release.

Hey everyone, hope you all doing well. this will be a long post so sit tight, This concerns users and developers who are interested in OSS (Open Source Software) and AOSP Development on Exynos CPUs
Right now, the people who are leading the development on Exynos can be counted on one hand. but we are facing challenges. as to be expected. sooner or later, development will be extremally hard and almost impossible on devices that lost updates and are now EOL. the lack of any modern BSP (Board Support Package) or Drivers for any exynos platform released after 2017 makes us unable to compile new Audio, Graphics and other core blobs that are required. we are left to use closed source samsung blobs, which are already outdated on tons of models. we already faced a major challenge with graphics refusing to work properly on android R.
This will slowly apply to most parts of the ROM. and affect most of the exynos chips that are newer than Exynos 8890 (S5E8890). the older the device gets, the more prone to breakage it will be. Old blobs are not always gonna work, and luck will soon run out.
We are starting a massive fundraiser. lead by @stricted and the remaining Exynos Developers. We want to raise enough funds, to purchase an Exynos 850 (S5E3830) Development Board. which will open the door to the latest Samsung BSP. and allow us to compile blobs for any modern samsung device. from Exynos 8895 (S5E8895) all the way to Exynos 9820 (S5E9820) and possibly Exynos 990 (S5E9830) or newer.
Full transparency. This will be done via a paypal pool, so everyone can see progress. The plan is to purchase this BSP. Due to how NDAs work, we cant just dump a private source code online.
A new BSP will give us insight on modern Graphics, Audio, Video encoding/decoding and tons more. no longer do we need to rely on outdated closed source Proprietary blobs that will break eventually and render devices obsolete.
Now obviously, you will look at the target and call BS. it is not cheap. and no one will drop this much money on a board....
except, they will, this has happened before in 2017. started by jesse chan, the community raised over 3000$ and bought an Exynos 8890 development board, which has made lineage possible on countless devices, including the S7, S6 and many more.
We are planning to repeat that.
