You cannot directly pursue a meaningful life as a goal in itself but rather it’s something that naturally arises as a result of the choices and commitments you make in life. A good life is a consequence of other actions or decisions we make. It’s not a primary goal but a secondary outcome. Deliberate commitment sources of joy that align with your values and aspirations is essential for the happiness you want.

The ultimate aim of life is to engage in experiences and commitments that allow you to grow, develop, and become the best version of yourself.

The dichotomy of control

The Stoics emphasised the importance of distinguishing between things within our control and those without. They argued that our thoughts, attitudes, and actions are under our control, while external events, other people’s opinions, and outcomes are beyond our control.

The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control. Where then do I look for good and evil? Not to uncontrollable externals, but within myself to the choices that are my own.

Focusing our attention and efforts solely on what we can control can help us free ourselves from unnecessary worry and anxiety over things we cannot change..
In difficult situations, this principle reminds us to direct our energy towards our responses and attitudes rather than getting distressed by uncontrollable external factors.

Stress Management Tips:

Sometimes we may think that we want to disappear but all we really want is to be found. Enjoy your reading always and all the ways to overcome the stress in our day to day life starting from the home to office.

Scope of doing this practice is to give an importance to our mental health (which is more important to discover your better version) and get rid of the stereotype that talking about problems is not okay.

How do you identify this stressful situation in our day to day lives?
Different versions of the same stress:
1. I need a break for at least one day in a month (most of the mothers/sisters/home makers/King makers) may tell these words and want to disappear from this world (but they won't and they can't because of their lovable commitments).
2. I need to take a leave and sleep for a week continuously to take rest (we can hear this from workaholic professionals like IT firms, MNCs, Government sectors, etc).
3. I need a break from academic pressures (we can hear this from students from school and colleges).

The list goes on with different version of people in our fast moving society.

What could be the causes?

1. Forgetting to enjoy the task and not thinking about the enjoyment at all.
2. Giving importance/priority to unnecessary things/people/tasks, etc.
3. Overthinking about unnecessary issues (which are highly superlative imaginations).
4. Lack of Empathy, Lack of emotions, and Lack of courage.

What to do?
1. We have to prioritize between the tasks/things/people (important/not important/urgent/not urgent/necessary/not necessary)
2. Spending Quality Time with the family (spouse, children, parents, old & gold friends) and not with the same people who is willing (knowingly/unknowingly) to stress you (by calling after office hours through sms, mail, call etc)
3. Have your ME TIME to rediscover yourself. To discover your better version.
4. Read books for enjoyment and attaining the maturity to handle all the stressful situations peacefully and happily.
5. Help others to overcome the situations soon after attaining the maturity of handling yourself efficiently and effectively.

Enjoy reading always and all the ways. Have a great day ahead.

Stress & Bad Bosses:
In our day to day life, many of us tends to speak about the myths (like if I am in that position, then I will do this, etc) about the leadership (Knowingly/Unknowingly). Why we are getting stressed when we work under the following types of bosses? We will be stressed when our bosses won't/don't lead. Many of us are not in a position to lead the office/organisation/team etc.

What are the different types of bad bosses who don't or won't lead?
1. Insecure leaders.
2. Visionless leaders.
3. Incompetent leaders.
4. Self-centered leaders
5. Chameleon leaders
6. Political leaders
7. Controlling leaders

What are the causes/negative impacts to the team if the above-mentioned leaders lead the team?
1. Decisions are delayed
2. Agendas are multiplied
3. Conflicts are extended
4. Morale becomes low
5. Production is reduced
6. Success is difficult

How do you recognise the bad bosses/identify the bad bosses?
1. They didn't help create the vision.
2. They don't understand the vision
3. They don't agree with the vision
4. They don't know the vision
5. They don't want to know the vision
6. They feel unneeded to achieve the vision
7. They aren't ready for the vision

How these people may cause/will cause the stress in us?
When you have the vision/ when you have the capacity to execute and lead and when you are stopped to execte, there the hue starts (triggers) for the stress. We will be thinking. Our Cognitive mind always thinks for the good things. When the things goes wrong (which is against the vision), our cognitive mind think (overthink) about this inefficient boss and create the stress (which is unnecessary).
Keep in mind: Bad bosses don't change / don't want to change / don't know to change.

Can we get any relief from these kinds of stress?
The answer is yes. We can overcome these stress with smart work with minimum energy and consistent efforts.

We will see in the next post for the way out from stress by bad bosses. Till then, Bye for now.
Enjoy reading always and all the ways. Have a great time ahead.

Stress Management Tips:

Always and all the ways it is better (of course it is best solution for dealing with the stress) to stay away from the people who don't want to know your side.
Pre-requisite: Never ever share your weakness/personal things to the person who don't want to listen at all. It is more dangerous thing that you are doing for/to yourself.

How to find the person (who don't want to listen you)?
1. He/She may be least bothered about your feelings.
2. Ignores/forgets about the good things about you.
3. Always waiting for belittling/casting aspersions on you (character assasination)
4. Jealous of your growth (intellectual/monetary/getting popular among the public, etc)
5. Always highlight their contributions (repeatedly) to you.
6. Low self-estimation.
7. Saying one-thing and doing other-thing.
8. Staying away from your tough times.
9. Unpalatable advices (just for filling the time and dumping in your mind)
10. Making you to feel guilty/cry/low.

How to overcome these/this people?

1. Have high esteem about yourself (by reading books, writing daily journaling-positively potraiting about yourself)
2. By showing gratitude (by thanking at least for four things everyday at the beginning of the day-eg. thanking parents, teachers, trees for providing oxygen, fellow creatures in the universe, etc)
3. Reading at least one hour (i.e., 4% of the day) for your development.
4. Never ever share your plans (ambitions/travel destinations/financial goals, etc). Because either they will spoil (by unnecessary advices-note these people are different from the good ones) the path and ruin in total.
5. Get engaged with learning and reading effectively, efficiently the new things.

Stay healthy and happy always and all the ways enjoy reading.

Exercise, do something creative, pray, journal or talk to a trusted friend or family member.

Above all things, do not post your issues on social media. It will only contribute to the problem.

Sharing the truth with individuals who are deeply entrenched in their own beliefs or ideologies can be a challenging task. This challenge arises from various factors, including cognitive biases, emotional attachments, and the natural tendency to resist information that contradicts one's existing worldview. When confronted with information that challenges their beliefs or threatens their understanding of reality, individuals often experience a sense of disenchantment or cognitive dissonance.

Cognitive biases play a significant role in shaping our perception of the world and can create barriers to accepting new information. Confirmation bias, for example, leads people to seek out and interpret information in a way that confirms their preexisting beliefs while disregarding contradictory evidence. This bias makes it difficult for individuals to objectively evaluate new information and can reinforce their existing beliefs, even if they are based on misinformation or falsehoods.

Emotional attachments also influence the way people perceive and interpret information. People often develop strong emotional connections to their beliefs, which can give them a sense of identity, security, and belonging. When faced with information that challenges these beliefs, individuals may feel threatened, defensive, or anxious. They may instinctively reject or dismiss the new information in order to preserve their emotional well-being and avoid the discomfort associated with cognitive dissonance.

Furthermore, people tend to construct mental models of the world based on their experiences, social interactions, and cultural influences. These models shape their understanding of reality and provide a framework through which they interpret new information. When presented with information that contradicts their mental models, individuals may struggle to integrate the new information into their existing worldview. This resistance to change can lead to a sense of disenchantment or disillusionment as they grapple with the challenge of reconciling conflicting ideas.

Overcoming these challenges requires a nuanced approach that takes into account the underlying psychological factors at play. It is crucial to foster open and respectful dialogue, creating a safe space where individuals feel heard and understood. Presenting evidence in a clear, logical, and non-confrontational manner can help mitigate defensive responses. Building trust and rapport, appealing to shared values, and focusing on common goals can also increase the likelihood of receptive engagement.

However, it is important to recognize that changing deeply entrenched beliefs is a complex process that often takes time, patience, and empathy. It is not always possible to convince someone to abandon their existing worldview entirely, but by fostering critical thinking skills, promoting media literacy, and encouraging open-mindedness, we can create an environment where individuals are more willing to consider alternative perspectives and evaluate information objectively.

All of us at various times in our lives believe true things for poor reasons, and false things for good reasons, and that whatever we think we know, whether we’re right or wrong, arises from our interactions with other human beings. Thinking independently, solitarily, ‘for ourselves,’ is not an option.

Thinking is more than memorising facts or understanding theories — it is the ability to use your knowledge to make logical connections, draw conclusions, and think critically to solve life and career challenges. The ability to think for yourself is the foundation for forming opinions, finding solutions to problems, and living a life of purpose and meaning.

Make time to ponder — a better life depends on it.
