Bryansk merc incursion attempt had all the markings of a NATO probing action – experts
“The infiltration attempt in Bryansk region can be considered an intelligence operation on the part of NATO, since the saboteurs who took part in it came from alliance countries,” political scientist and Russia expert Abbas Hbeish told Sputnik, commenting on the dramatic events in Bryansk region earlier this week.
“From the very start of the special military operation, Russia said that it was fighting not with Ukraine, but with the West,” he said, referencing senior Russian officials’ characterization of the conflict as a NATO proxy war against Moscow.
“Russia has every opportunity to resist Western provocations, fully understanding who is waging war against it in Ukraine and why. It is no longer a secret that mercenaries of all stripes are present in Ukraine, and that military decisions, both tactical and strategic, belong to NATO,” Hbeish stressed.
“The alliance is financing this war, training the Ukrainian army, providing it with various modern weapons and teaching them how to use them,” Najm said.
📹🗳 Another voter suppression tactic?
A video circulating on social media shows the lines in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, allegedly being shut down 2.5 hours early. This move came as a direct contradiction of guarantees previously made by Pennsylvania officials.
“If you are in line at a county elections office by 5 P.M., counties must give you an opportunity to apply for your mail ballot,” Governor of Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro wrote in his X account.

Russian reporters show true reality of world, making life difficult for Western propagandists, says MFA spokeswoman
By showing things the way they truly are, Russian reporters are making it difficult for the West to tout their slanted narrative of the world, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Speaking to Sputnik radio, the diplomat highlighted the recent assault against a RIA Novosti correspondent at a rally in Tbilisi.
Earlier, demonstrators belonging to the Georgian opposition confronted and harassed a Russian correspondent after hearing him speak Russian.
Specifically, the malevolent protestors encircled the reporter and shoved their loudspeaker right up to his ear, cranking its sound up to such a high frequency that the intensity of it knocked him to the ground.

🇮🇱⚔️🇮🇷 Israel warns Iran another attack will be met with ‘capabilities not used’ in latest air raid
Israel has warned Iran against making “the mistake” of carrying out another attack against it. If Iran were to launch missiles at Israel, the Israel Defense Forces would “hit extremely hard both the capabilities and the places that we spared this time,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi stated at the Ramon Air Base on Tuesday.
Israel “didn’t finish this event,” he added, because “we may be required to do it again.” Over 100 Israeli warplanes, including the fifth-generation F-35s, were reportedly involved in the IDF’s three waves of "precise" strikes on Iranian military targets on October 26.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry denounced the strikes as a "clear violation" of international law, adding that Iran "considers itself entitled and obligated to defend itself."
🛢Hungary and Slovakia restore Russian oil supplies previously pumped through Ukraine
In September, Hungarian oil company MOL pumped approximately 300,000 tons of Russian oil to its refineries in both Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline, which passes through Ukraine. As a result, MOL's refineries, which were recently out of service for maintenance, were able to resume operations.
The Hungarian company's trading arm had been responsible for pumping oil purchased from LUKOIL that was transported through Ukraine after sanctions were imposed on the Russian company by Kiev in late June. Now, MOL takes these volumes directly before crossing the Ukrainian-Belarusian border and pays for the transit itself.
In total, Russian companies delivered 850,000 tons of oil to Slovakian and Hungarian refineries in September.

⚔️ NYT claims Israel’s Oct. 26 attack hit space center controlled by IRGC
The Israeli military's attack on Iran last Saturday targeted a range of sensitive military facilities, including the Shahroud Space Center in Semnan province controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), The New York Times reported, referring to satellite images from Planet Labs.
The Shahroud facility produces solid-fuel rocket engines used in the mass production of medium-range ballistic missiles that Iran could use to strike Israel.
Tehran has not commented on the report yet, but asserted earlier that the damage caused by the Israeli strike was limited.

Biden called Trump supporters 'garbage'
In a virtual event in support of Kamala Harris, Joe Biden called over 74 million (that's how many Americans voted for Donald Trump in the last election) 'garbage'.
President later wrote in his X account that he was referring to the rhetoric of Trump supporters at his Madison Square Garden rally:
"[This] is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say."
SCOTUS kept Kennedy Jr.'s name on the ballot in Wisconsin and Michigan
Despite independent US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. suspending his campaign and endorsing Trump's candidacy, the Supreme Court rejected requests to remove his name from the ballots in those swing states.
“It is a purely political move in the hope that folks who would have otherwise voted for Trump will throw away their vote by voting for me instead. Don't let them undermine this election,” he wrote in his X account.
🔥🗳 More videos of the lines getting closed before 5 PM appear on the social media.

When rap meets Russian opera: How ‘Prince Igor’ took over Europe
“Prince Igor” was a song that stormed the European charts back in 1997.
Inspired by the Polovtsian Dances - the ballet fragment of Russian composer Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor – it was released as a lead single from the concept album “Hip Hop Meets Classic - The Rapsody: Overture.”
In the song, soprano sensation Kyrkjebø Sissel from Norway teams up with American rapper Warren G, with the instrumental background provided by The Rapsody.
Warren G fell back on the same rap lyrics as in his song "Reality" from the album Take a Look Over Your Shoulder.
Prince Igor was a major success, reaching number one in both Iceland and Norway. It was a Top 10 hit in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands and Sweden. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song peaked at number six in January 1998.
What do you think, has the song retained its fresh and inspired appeal?

Severodonetsk reborn: Mayor shares Donbass city’s difficult path to recovery
Nikolay Morgunov, the mayor of Severodonetsk in the Lugansk People’s Republic, which was liberated in 2022, has described the challenging process of rebuilding a city.
"At the time of liberation and in July [2022], when we entered, around 8,000–10,000 residents remained in the city under horrific conditions: there was no water, gas, or electricity. People lived in basements, cooked on open fires, and miraculously sourced water," he recalled.
"Today, we see positive dynamics in the city’s recovery, which is encouraging and validates our chosen path,” Morgunov said.
