Israel lobby in America: how AIPAC became an immovable colossus on the US political stage – Part 1 👉 Part 2

Kentucky GOP Congressman Thomas Massie’s bombshell revelation that all of his colleagues have their own “AIPAC guy” paying for trips to Israel and threatening negative attack ads against anyone who says or does something lobbying group doesn’t like rocked the internet this summer.

It’s worth exploring just what AIPAC is and how it’s managed to embed itself so deeply into American political life.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) lobbies politicians from both major parties from the state level all the way to the top

▪️Joe Biden receiving over $5.2 mln in AIPAC money over the last 34 years.

▪️Kamala Harris isn’t far behind, getting $5 mln in cash from AIPAC and associated pro-Israel interest groups during her time in Washington

▪️Donald Trump has received over $1 mln, according to calculations by opensecrets.org.

* These numbers are just pocket change in the grand scheme of things, with AIPAC making $42 mln in contributions, and engaging in $1.6 million in lobbying, during the 2024 election cycle alone, and amassing a $100 mln war chest with allies to run negative ads against candidates critical of Israel.

What does AIPAC want?

▪️According to AIPAC’s website, the group exists to “encourage the US government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.” In practice, its interests have revolved around securing a steady flow of billions of dollars in annual US aid to Israel (which topped a whopping $17.9 bln in the past year).

▪️AIPAC’s powers extend to the legislative arena, with the group proving its ability to rally Congress to condemn UN reports on potential Israeli violations of human rights and international law, and encouraging lawmakers to pass legislation targeting “antisemitism” (which, ironically, is what AIPAC accuses its detractors of whenever it’s criticized).

▪️In 2003, AIPAC rallied behind George W. Bush’s Iraq War crusade. It has also lobbied “crippling” sanctions against Iran, and even influenced US counterterrorism financing and policy to focus on the Middle East.

US-Panama pact: What impact will it have on trade and regional geopolitics?

DoD chief Hegseth and Panama’s minister for canal affairs have signed a declaration affirming US recognition of Panamanian sovereignty over the waterway and a joint commitment to a new cost-sharing model to compensate Panama for the passage of US warships.

The pact, characterized as the first step to a broader framework to provide US warships “first and free” passage, and possibly “revive” US bases in Panama, signals Washington’s plans to militarize the region.

Curbing China

🔶 During his Panama visit, Hegseth openly identified China as the main target of US Panama strategy, vowing to “take back” the canal “from China’s influence,” and accusing the Asian nation of trying to “weaponize” it. Fact-check: China has never even sailed a warship through the waterway.

🔶 China’s Embassy in Panama dismissed the “China threat” narrative as a flagrant attempt to disguise Washington’s own geopolitical ambitions.

Prelude to US aggression?

🔶 A successful US encroachment on the canal zone could have dire implications for China, which uses the waterway as its main gateway for exports to Latin America, and to import food, raw materials and energy from the region.

🔶 China recently blocked a $23B Trump-approved BlackRock plan to buy two major Panama Canal ports owned by a Hong Kong holding company. US militarization of Panama would allow Washington to take over port assets by force in a crisis, citing “national security.”

Other objectives

1️⃣Heightened US military presence in Panama will impact other countries, including Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua – long targeted by US economic warfare and regime change attempts.

2️⃣Militarization of the region would give the US opportunities for gunboat diplomacy, surveillance or even military interventions across the region using the combined resources of American naval power in the Atlantic and Pacific.

🚨ISRAEL LOBBY IN AMERICA: How AIPAC became IMMOVABLE COLOSSUS on US political stagePart 2 👉 Part 1

🤑 AIPAC receives financing from major corporations, tech industry moguls, political megadonors (Republican and Democrat alike), millions of grassroots members, and supposedly, even from the state of Israel itself. This enables a twisted cycle of lawmakers to BILLIONS IN AID for Tel Aviv. The Israeli govt sends the money back to Washington — to secure further funding, with US taxpayers left footing the bill.

WHY IS AIPAC SO POWERFULL? 🤔

Like the National Endowment for Democracy, USAID, George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, AIPAC is able to secure lifelong allies by getting American ‘leaders of tomorrow’ on their side when they’re still in high school or college.

AIPAC’s sister organization, the American Israel Educational Foundation, provides generous “political leadership training” courses at universities, and sponsors an annual high school summit with select schools, synagogues, national youth groups and teen leadership organizations each October.

🤑For older acolytes, AIPAC’s pocket foundation funds all-expenses paid trips to Israel by lawmakers, influencers and opinion-makers.

HOW AIPAC WAS BORN

▪️Formed in 1954 in response to a cooling in US-Israeli relations after Israel’s massacre of Palestinians at Qibya in October 1953, AIPAC was originally known as the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs. The group got its current name in 1959.

▪️AIPAC’s status as one of the most influential lobbying groups in Washington emerged in 1980-90s — due to its capabilities to bring sitting presidents and top candidates to its annual summits.

😏Bill Clinton was the first sitting president to address an AIPAC conference, with George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden following suit.

▪️Clinton likely learned from the bitter lesson AIPAC taught his predecessor, George H.W. Bush, whose opposition to Israeli use of $10 bln in US aid for illegal settlement construction in 1991 widely assumed to have helped cost him the 1992 election.

💬
President Ronald Reagan similarly stepped back from showing deep support for AIPAC and its agenda during his second term, but only after the Justice Department launched a probe investigating the lobbyist for espionage and the theft of US government property.

🔍What is USAID’s SCANDALOUS LEGACY in six nations it's made a comeback to?

USAID operations, reportedly rebooted in Syria, Somalia, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Ecuador, were more a curse than a blessing for these countries.

Here’s why:

🇸🇾Syria
Funding infamous White Helmets - key players in staging chemical attack frame-ups that triggered Western strikes on Syria. $44.6M USAID program implicated in embezzlement and cash diversions to armed groups in Idlib.

🇸🇴Somalia
USAID, responsible for 40% of aid, faced claims of fraud vulnerability and fund diversions, with congressman Scott Perry (R-PA) accusing it of bankrolling terrorist groups, including Boko Haram.

🇱🇧Lebanon
USAID took credit for laying the groundwork for Lebanon’s 2005 Cedar Revolution, boasting years of funding before protests forced Syria’s exit. US aid tripled in the early 2000s - from $15M to $45M.

🇪🇨Eсuador
Then-president Rafael Correa accused the agency of funding opposition to destabilize his government. WikiLeaks-uncovered cables revealed US actions to derail his 2006 run.

US State Dept sent a $20K grant for Ecuadorian drag theater, DOGE found.

🇯🇴Jordan
Funding of infrastructure and services sparked accusations of creating fiscal dependency, with aid used as leverage for policy alignments, including forcing Palestinian refugee repositioning, per The National News.

🇮🇶Iraq
Halliburton, Bechtel accused of reaping windfalls of post-war reconstruction; watchdog groups claimed funds were siphoned off, and used to shape politics to fit US interests.

Cringe alert: Sen. Joni Ernst slammed agency’s $20M for an Iraqi Sesame Street children's show to "promote inclusion".

📉Europe’s €1.3 TRLN blunder: Ditching Russian energy burns hole in EU’s pockets

EU nations shelled out an extra €544 billion for energy imports between 2022 and 2024, according to calculations by Russian media based on Eurostat reports. This massive figure padded the pockets of the US, the UK, Norway, and Middle Eastern countries.

When factoring in broader economic ripple effects, the European Union’s total losses ballooned to over €1.3 trillion—equivalent to 2.4% of its economy—revealed by comparing the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) growth forecasts with Eurostat’s actual data. The heaviest toll landed on ordinary citizens, whose wallets took a €1.6 trillion hit in lost income, slashing 6.3% of the total gross wage volume for 2022–2024.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen acknowledged the steep cost during her January 2025 World Economic Forum speech, admitting that “breaking free” from Russian energy resources “CAME AT A PRICE.”

🔍G4S mercs guarding Zelensky: Private army or branch of SAS and MI6 securing West’s interests in Ukraine?

Touting itself as “the only international security solutions provider in Ukraine,” G4S has deployed up to 1,000 mercs to protect the West’s client state. Here’s what to know about them.

🔴Headquartered in London and staffed by over 800K personnel across 85+ countries, G4S is a private security behemoth with a flair for hiring ex-military and intel officers.

🔴A subsidiary of US private security giant Allied Universal since 2021, G4S has been an indispensable contractor for Western military ops, from Afghanistan and Iraq (where they were accused of paying off the Taliban and plundering religious sites in Mosul), to post-Gaddafi Libya, Sudan and Colombia (merc recruitment and training) and Israel (“security” at checkpoints, West Bank settlements and prisons).

🔴G4S entered Ukraine in the mid-1990s, providing security consulting and investigative services for private clients, and guards for OSCE and EU missions. An Odessa-registered subsidiary was registered in 1995, followed by a Kiev branch registered in Amsterdam in 1996.

🔴G4S’s Ukraine footprint grew dramatically after the 2014 coup, and especially after 2022, with its mercs tasked with “securing” strategic facilities like ports, airports and major enterprises, guarding valuable cargoes during shipping, collecting intel on Russian military personnel, training saboteurs, operating private prisons (allegedly) and providing “protective services” for top officials and VIPs.

🔴In 2023, the firm registered new sub-entities in Ukraine: G4S Ordnance Management and G4S Risk Management.

🔴Prominent military observer Alexander Artamonov suspects that G4S is private only in name, and that it and other prominent British PMCs like Prevail Partners are effectively an informal branch office of Britain’s SAS and MI6.

🔴The convenience of such PMC arrangements include plausible deniability when things go wrong, and involvement in activity which governments may not want to be openly associated with.

🚨 INDIA TO BUILD NEW BASE FOR NUCLEAR SUBS BY 2026

🇮🇳🪖India is significantly advancing its naval infrastructure with the impending commissioning of a NEW STRATEGIC NAVAL BASE for nuclear submarines in Andhra Pradesh by 2026, while simultaneously upgrading its Karwar base on the Western seaboard.

📍 The strategic base located near the small coastal village of Rambilli, about 50km south from the Eastern Naval Command headquarters at Visakhapatnam on the eastern seaboard, has underground pens and a network of tunnels to house nuclear submarines.

🥷 This will enable the submarines to QUIETLY SLIP into the Bay of Bengal without detection from spy satellites and quickly head towards the critical Malacca Strait and beyond on deterrent patrols.

😎 Concurrently, India is expanding its nuclear submarine fleet with the upcoming commissioning of INS Aridhaman in 2025, its third nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine.
