Short_story
Peter Judd joined the army when he, was eighteen, and for several months he was taught how to be a good soldier. He did quite well in everything except shooting. One day he and his friends were practicing their shooting, and all of them were doing quite well except Peter. After he had shot at the target nine times and had not hit it once, the officer who was trying to teach the young soldiers to shoot said, "You're quite hopeless, Peter! Don't waste your last bullet too! Go behind that wall and shoot yourself with it!"
Peter felt ashamed. He went behind the wall, and a few seconds later the officer and the other young soldiers heard the sound of a shot.
"Heavens!" the officer said. "Has that silly man really shot himself?"
He ran behind the wall anxiously, but Peter was all right. "I'm sorry, sir," he said, "but I missed again."😜😂

3 secrets to English fluencyby J. M. Barrie
******-******
Are you all wondering how to become more fluent in English?
Are you struggling with using English?Today, I’ll share with you three secrets.
Let’s start!1. Write as much as you can in English. This is one of the best ways you can improve your English fluency. Writing in English can be very helpful because it gives you a chance to work on your spelling, vocabulary and grammar skills. Start each day by writing a few short paragraphs in English. It canbe whatever you want. You can write down the lyrics of your favourite songs, quotes from your favourite book or movie, etc. Here's my tip for all of you: Write a short story in your native language. It doesn’t have to be long, just 200 words or even more if you want. And then try to write it in English. You don’t have to translate each word, just try to write in English what you wrote in your native language.2. Listen to English as much as possible.Perhaps the best way to work on your fluency in English is listening to the language. You can listen everything you want – songs, radio, TV shows, movies, etc. Watch your favourite TV show and try to pay more attention to the language itself. You can also watch movies and TV shows without subtitles. That way you will pay more attention to what people are saying, instead of just reading the subtitles. It may seem difficult at the beginning, but after a while, you will be able to understand more and more.3. Read in English as much as possible.Reading in English will influence both your vocabulary and grammar skills. While reading, mark the unknown words and look them up in a dictionary. That’s the best way to learn new vocabulary. Also, pay close attention to grammar. Look for different use of articles, or verb tenses, anything connected to grammar. Reading is crucial for people who are trying to learn a language. You can read books, magazines, blog posts, newspapers, comics, etc. You can also try watching movies you like with English subtitle

The Final Speech from The Great Dictator:
الخطاب الأخير للدكتاتور العظيم
تشارلي شابلن
I’m sorry, I don’t want to be an emperor. That’s not my business. I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone - if possible - Jew, Gentile - black man - white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness - not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.
Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost….
The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men - cries out for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.
To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. …..
Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you - enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!
In the 17th Chapter of St Luke it is written: “the Kingdom of God is within man” - not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people have the power - the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.
Then - in the name of democracy - let us use that power - let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world - a decent world that will give men a chance to work - that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfil that promise. They never will!
Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people! Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers! in the name of democracy, let us all unite!

Two thousand years ago the proudest boast was Civis Romanus sum. Today, in the world of freedom, the proudest boast is Ich bin ein Berliner.
There are many people in the world who really don't understand, or say they don't, what is the great issue between the free world and the Communist world. Let them come to Berlin. There are some who say that communism is the wave of the future. Let them come to Berlin. And there are some who say in Europe and elsewhere we can work with the Communists. Let them come to Berlin. And there are even a few who say that it is true that communism is an evil system, but it permits us to make economic progress. Let them come to Berlin.
Freedom has many difficulties and democracy is not perfect, but we have never had to put up a wall to keep our people in, to prevent them from leaving us. I want to say, on behalf of my countrymen, who live many miles away on the other side of the Atlantic, who are far distant from you, that they take the greatest pride that they have been able to share with you, even from a distance, the story of the last eighteen years. I know of no town, no city, that has been besieged for eighteen years that still lives with the vitality and the force, and the hope and the determination of the city of West Berlin. While the wall is the most obvious and vivid demonstration of the failures of the Communist system, all the world can see, we take no satisfaction in it, for it is, as your mayor has said, an offense not only against history but an offense against humanity, separating families, dividing husbands and wives and brothers and sisters, and dividing a people who wish to be joined together.
What is true of this city is true of Germany-real, lasting peace in Europe can never be assured as long as one German out of four is denied the elementary right of free men, and that is to make a free choice. In eighteen years of peace and good faith, this generation of Germans has earned the right to be free, including the right to unite their families and their nation in lasting peace, with good will to all people. You live in a defended island of freedom, but your life is part of the main. So let me ask you, as I close, to lift your eyes beyond the dangers of today, to the hopes of tomorrow, beyond the freedom merely of this city of Berlin, or your country of Germany, to the advance of freedom everywhere, beyond the wall to the day of peace with justice, beyond yourselves and ourselves to all mankind.
Freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free.
When all are free, then we can look forward to that day when this city will be joined as one and this country and this great continent of Europe in a peaceful and hopeful globe. When that day finally comes, as it will, the people of West Berlin can take sober satisfaction in the fact that they were in the front lines for almost two decades. All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words Ich bin ein Berliner.

TOMATOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🍅A teacher asked her students to bring some tomatoes in a plastic bag to school.
🍅Each tomato was to be given the name of a person whom that child hates.
🍅So, the number of tomatoes would be equal to the number of persons they hate.
🍅On a pre-determined day, All the children brought their tomatoes well addressed.
🍅Some had two, some had three and some had five, some even had 20 tomatoes in accordance with the number of people they hated.
🍅The teacher then told them they had to carry the tomatoes with them everywhere they go for two weeks.
🍅As the days passed the children started to complain about the decay and smell of the tomatoes.
🍅The students who had many tomatoes complained it was very heavy to carry and the smell was too much.
🍅After a week, the teacher asked the students “How did you feel this week?”
🍅The children complained of the awful smell and heavy weight of the tomatoes, especially those who carried several tomatoes.
🍅The teacher said, “This is very similar to what you carry in your heart when you don’t like some people.
🍅Hatred makes the heart unhealthy and you carry that hatred everywhere.
🍅If you can’t bear the smell of spoilt tomatoes for a week, imagine the impact of bitterness on your heart as you carry it daily.”
🍅The heart is a beautiful garden that needs regular cleaning of unwanted weeds.
🍅 Forgive those who have angered you.
🍅This makes room for storing good things.
🍅Get Better, Not Bitter!!!....
