🅾 هر دوی کلمه بالا حرف ربط هستند و برای ترکیب دو جمله یا عبارت متضاد استفاده می شود اما از لحاظ معنایی و ساختاری با هم تفاوت دارند.

🛑 از although برای نشان دادن تناقض دو جمله واره در یک جمله واحد استفاده می‌شود. مثلا:
🔴 Although it was dangerous, they crossed the river.
🔴 اگرچه خطرناک بود، آنها از رودخانه عبور کردند.
🛑 اما however زمانی استفاده می‌شود که میخواهیم بعد از گفتن عبارتی، اطلاعات متفاوت یا متعجب کننده ای در مورد آن اضافه کنیم. مثلا:
🔵 The town is a long way from the nearest big city. However, there is a good bus service.
🔵 این شهرک از نزدیکترین شهر بزرگ خیلی دور است. با اين وجود، سرویس اتوبوس رانی خوبی دارد.
