I think I told you about my neighbors who asked me to do a greenhouse garden with them? People are opening up to me like that all the time.
It's such a better life.
you know, from my perspective it's such a small change for someone else to accept someone's gender identity and use their preferred pronouns, versus the large amount of emotional distress it causes when you don't. when i get offered such a choice, I always choose to avoid the pther person's discomfort, even if it means a tiny little bit of discomfort to me. it seems to me like the moral decision

I feel like we've had a breakthrough and found common ground. 😄
I've found ways to refer to people with preferred pronouns that I don't prefer for them by just never using pronouns. It's more respectful to refer to them directly, anyway.
I also think that accepting someone's gender identity means accepting that that's how they identify, and hearing them out.
Enthusiastically adopting the same beliefs doesn't have to be a part of it, in my opinion.
Like, you accept my religious identity, in the sense that you know that's what I believe and you're nice to me 99.9% of the time. I feel like you've accepted my identity fully. I don't expect you to believe the same things, however.

You know, the advice you gave me a year or so ago about how I'm not as isolated as I think, and if I want to connect with people I should just find something I like about them and compliment it.
I thought, "That would never work. Xieve doesn't understand the toxic culture here." But wow, was I wrong.
Your advice has been gold and I've been connecting with people ever since.
now I'm gaining female friends again and I feel so much more comfortable around them
