American fintech giant Robinhood has completed a deal to buy one of the oldest crypto exchanges - Bitstamp.

Transaction amount = $200,000,000.

🚫 SEC questions the legality of crypto-ETF with staking - Bloomberg

✧ The US SEC expressed concern about the launch of ETFs on Ethereum and Solana from REX Financial and Osprey Funds.

✧ These funds assume income through staking, but may not meet the legal definition of ETF under federal law.

✧ The launch has been postponed until the SEC issues are resolved.

✧ SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw criticized the agency’s approach, saying that crypto assets «are sometimes recognized as securities, sometimes not - when and how convenient».
