Why ALTS dumping so much ?!
would like to explain to you, why Day traders sell off their ALTS when BTC pumps.
simple reason is that ALTS price is determined by BTC price, if BTC goes up the ALTS price goes up and they get corrected in the BTC value so their USD rate will stay the same, one simple thing to do is to exit the ALT coin so you will enjoy from the raise of the BTC price in USD, means you will have same BTC but more USD, if you stay you have less BTC and same USD (most of the time).
Indeed, Some Good ALTS projects like LINK, WTC, CDT went against the trend, they went up with BTC and here you go, double profits, on your BTC rate and USD rate 👏👏
As of now, there aren't many good projects, maybe LIBRA will be the next one, who knows.
The most important thing for the ALTS market is BTC stabillity, with that stabillity (1%-2% waves range) - the ALTS investors are not afraid to go into ALTS, they prefer to risk 1%-2% drop to gain 20%-100% gain on their ALTS.

🇨🇦Canadian Exchange Loses Access to Funds🇨🇦
Hello Everyone,
The current price of Bitcoin is $3500 on Bitmex, with 24 hour volume leveling around 5.3 billion USD via CoinMarketCap.
Bitcoin has operated within a 3.5% price range over the course of the past 6 days. The low volatility at this point has allowed us to maintain the same analysis on the state of crypto for about a week.
The support holding from $3330-3400 still remains a crucial level. A break would could result in revisiting 2018-2019 lows.
$3500 has turned into local resistance. A significant close, above $3500, (4hr. Or higher time frame) will have us reevaluate our 75% fiat 25% crypto portfolio allocation.
In other news, QuadrigaCX, a Canadian digital asset exchange, reportedly owes its customers roughly 190 million USD and has lost access to a majority of these funds!
Quadriga stored a vast amount of the cryptocurrency on their exchange in cold wallets offline. Unfortunately, the only person with access to the offline, secured funds, is the late CEO for Quadriga, Gerald Cotten who passed away in December of 2018.
It has become apparent to the team that after the CEO’s death, they have now lost the ability to access the locked funds. Cotten took sole responsibility for securing the crypto funds and now that he has passed, any attempt by third parties to extract the data and unlock his personal computer have been unsuccessful.
Our team feels awful for all parties involved as it does not seem that foul play has occurred, but rather a very misfortunate circumstance.
That being said, we have to question the protocol in place, for QuadrigaCX, as now they have essentially locked away a significant amount of their clients’ money due to faulty security measures.
This is exactly why we have always preached holding one’s own private keys, personally, and giving trusted family members or loved ones the back up keys needed to access funds in the event of illness or death. Just like in traditional wealth storage, even respected institutions can still ultimately mishandle/mismanage one’s capital which can result in losses like the QuadrigaCX situation.
One of the most important aspects of this space is the ability to personally protect one’s wealth to the highest capacity, and always remain in control of your funds. Trading is a pivotal aspect of the cryptocurrency space, but using exchanges as long-term wallets is not a practice we use or endorse.

Bitcoin, per Bitmex, is trading at $3434. Its 24 hour volume is leveling at around 5.5 billion USD.
The market has remained stable since yesterday's update; as a result, our general outlook on $BTC and the industry is unchanged. Bitcoin's crucial support is from $3330 to $3400. Should it hold above those levels and print higher lowers, we will regain confidence in the alt market🎉.
In the event Bitcoin falls through support, we will enter net short positions and DCA as yearly lows are likely to be met 🤒.
On January 23rd, it was reported that CBOE withdrew its VanEck/SolidX Bitcoin ETF proposal. This was due in large part to the ongoing government shutdown, and the fear associated with the proposed rule change being denied by the SEC.
As of yesterday, CBOE, VanEck, and SolidX resubmitted their joint proposal to the SEC 🏅.
They withdrew earlier this month because a deadline was set on their application for February 27th. Now there is no time clock on either the CBOE/VanEck/SolidX proposal or NYSE Arca and Bitwise’s proposal, which was submitted a few weeks prior. It seems as though the leading Bitcoin ETF proponents are back in stride to become the first groups to bring a Bitcoin ETF to market in the United States.
This news is unequivocally bullish for the industry. With such investment vehicles nearing their acceptance, the market is gradually becoming more investor friendly. To think, in time, cryptos will be vastly more accessible to consumers than ever before - something all enthusiasts and incumbents in the space should be thankful for 🐂.
