A trade war is brewing between the U.S. and Canada. A key part of this is the Premier of Ontario imposing a 25% surcharge on electricity imports to three U.S. states. And he’s even threatening to cut off electricity to these states if Trump escalates the trade war further.

Trump also came out with his own response this surcharge by implementing additional 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminum coming into the US from Canada. This is as Trump vows financial retaliation so big, that it will go down in history books.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that 83% of USAID programs have been canceled. According to Rubio, that amounts to 5,200 contracts and tens of billions of dollars that did not align with "the core national interests" of the U.S.

And it seems that many of the cancellations and firings we’re seeing in the government were tied to programs on DEI and ESG. Among Trump’s actions were orders ending federal involvement in these programs, and the administration is now enacting those cuts.

President Trump has signed an executive order creating a U.S. strategic bitcoin reserve.

The U.S. government is actually among the largest holders of bitcoin in the world, holding $17 billion worth of bitcoin obtained through criminal forfeitures.

And it’s this bitcoin that the Trump admin will use to kickstart the new strategic reserve that will work as a national stockpile, similar to a gold reserve.

Now, this move comes after Trump banned the establishment of CBDCs in the U.S. back in January.

We’re seeing this with DOGE and Elon Musk who has rolled out a new initiative. He’s now requiring all government workers to fill out a simple inquiry asking what they did last week.

According to reports, federal employees received a three-line email with this instruction: “Please reply to this email with approx. 5 bullets of what you accomplished last week and cc your manager.”

This move from DOGE seems to be aimed at finding what Musk is calling "fraud."

President Donald Trump’s promised tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China have now gone into effect. That’s 25 percent tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada, and an additional 10 percent tariff on goods from China on top of a pre-existing 10 percent.

And we could be seeing a brewing trade war as both Canada and the Chinese Communist Party implement new tariffs on the US, and Trump looks to more tariffs as well. This is under his policies for reciprocal tariffs and equal trade deals.

Democrats have sued Trump over an executive order about the Federal Election Commission.

Trump signed an executive order to bring the FEC under White House scrutiny, this was along with establishing more White House oversight on around 80 independent government agencies.

Trump's argument is that federal agencies need to be able to be reigned in by voters, and there should not be rogue agencies with little accountability.

Democrats argue that this could undermine the independence of the FEC, which is in charge of enforcing campaign finance laws.

Eggs are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. According to the USDA, retail egg prices are "predicted to increase 41.1 percent in 2025.” And that’s not even the biggest price hike, the cost of farm-level eggs "are predicted to increase 82.6 percent in 2025.”

This is being blamed on the bird flu, and policies that have led to the mass culling of chickens. And the USDA has now announced a $1 billion-dollar strategy to lower egg prices, curb avian flu and protect the U.S. poultry industry.
