You can use bridge even now, provided the bridge still has liquidity(check individual and global caps)
Previous stuck transaction doesn’t affect new ones.

For the past 12-months the current bridge architecture was performing and functional, albeit had a few bugs and would hit its caps. But the recent unprecedented volume and demand has caused some real needs for an upgrade. The Dev Team is focused on this and working on a solution for it and to scale the bridge as fast as possible.
