📯Alliances. Part 1
A new update is here at the end of summer! We are starting to roll out an important change: Alliances.
• These are groups of guilds that will replace castles.
• Any guild that is level 5 or higher and has a tag can create or join an alliance.
• At level 3, an alliance can have up to 100 players in total. It doesn’t matter how many guilds are included - the total number of members must not go over 100. For example, 5 guilds with 20 players each, or 10 guilds with 10 players each.
• Players without a guild can also join if they are not already part of another guild or alliance.
• This new group works like a military team, similar to a castle. In battles, you will fight together against other alliances or the neutral faction called Explorers.
• If your team captures a fortress, you can choose a color 🟥 🟧 🟨 🟩 🟦 🟪 and start taking land from the Explorers.
• Only members of your alliance can do quests in the areas you control.
Since this is a big update, we are releasing it in several stages:
1. Create and manage alliances
2. Fight for fortresses and land
3. Control captured regions
• Today we are launching Part 1 - it’s time to think about who to team up with, which alliance to join, and which regions or fortresses you want to fight for.
• Part 2 will come next week, and that’s when battles will begin.
• Until Part 2 is released, there won’t be any fee for Alliance Maintenance.
• After that, castles will be removed. All lands will become neutral, and players will either stay neutral (Explorers) or be part of the alliance they joined.

🎨New Web App (test)
We’re testing a new web app first with our Noble's subscribers who help us try new features early. You can enable it in the game bot under /settings. Once things are stable, it will be available to all players.
We’ve added many improvements based on your feedback:
1. Tab redesign - the market is now easy to reach from the side menu.
2. The map is easier to scroll and use.
3. Warehouse and well now have a new item selection UI - you can deposit or throw away multiple items at once.
4. On the Inventory tab, you can now manage your equipment.
5. Many other small improvements and fixes.

Preparing for Alliance Update
To make alliance battles possible, we had to change the battle engine a lot - it was a big task and ended up with almost a full rewrite under the hood. The goal for now was only internal changes - everything should look the same on the outside. But technically, this new engine is ready for new features we plan to add.
One side effect of this rewrite: arena battles now use the same engine as main battles. This means all skills and rules from normal battles now work in arenas too.
Please pay extra attention to battle logs. If you notice anything strange compared to battles before this post - let us know. Ideally, you won’t see any changes. But you know how it goes - big project, things can be missed.
Fixes from fider.chatwars.me:
• Issue #43 & Issue #44: claim rules for Explorers fixed. They should now be able to claim any fitting tiles like other castles. Same for quests - should be able to quest on their own land.

Hotfix
Players from the Explorers’ Castle can now claim territory using the same rules as other castles: there must be Friendly Territory nearby.
The Center 4 tiles work well for that.

New RaidBoss LV49 and new items for players LV20+ & LV40+
Details:
• RaidBoss “Evil Spirit” LV49 added to basic ruins
• New items added to the game (see picture above)
• Battle Embers – useful items that, when loaded into the pocket, can be consumed to amplify strike damage by 50%
• Packs of Battle Embers can be crafted by blacksmiths with Craft LV2 and LV4 (blue and green respectively)
• Health and Mana Potions – instantly restore hero’s Health or Mana Points
• In future updates, these potions can be produced by heroes with the Provision school
• Every participant of a raid receives a special item "Echo Orb" after defeating the monster
• Echo Orbs can be traded for useful consumables or equipment in the Well region
• Cloaks can now be enchanted with Scroll of Peace
• Player feedback: Enchanted weapons and equipment can now be deposited into the guild storage
• Various small fixes and improvements

📯Alliances. Part 2
Hey everyone - it's here. The new update just dropped.
From this point on, all players are now split into two big groups:
• 🌡 those in an Alliance
• 😎 and those without one.
If you're in an Alliance, Fortress Battles are now available.
Also, with all these changes, guild HQ locations have been reset.
If you're in a guild, you can now pick a new HQ tile. Go pick your spot.
Here's how it works:
• Only Alliance Leaders can sign up their Alliance for a Fortress Battle.
• Sign-ups open 24 hours before the fight and close 1 hour before it starts.
• The first fight happens at the same time as the daily Region Battle - 16 UTC.
• To participate in the battle, you must:
1) Be a member of the Alliance that signed up
2) Be standing on the Fortress tile at the time of battle
• If a Fortress Battle happens, the tile enters cooldown for 7 days + 3 hours.
• This cooldown shifts slightly each time to make the timing fair across timezones.
If your Alliance wins and captures the Fortress:
• That Fortress becomes your new "campfire"
• Your alliance will choose a color - and fight under it.
• You can now capture nearby tiles and spread your color across the map.
We're also adjusting how Claim works - and splitting it into two distinct commands.
Trigger
This is a new command that starts a one-hour battle on an unsafe tile.
• Any player can use it, as long as the tile allows PvP.
• It works like this: when Trigger is used, a battle is scheduled for the next full hour.
• That’s your classic "Hour Battle" - nothing changes here.
Claim
Now it's only available in specific situations:
If you’re in the Explorers faction (aka no Alliance):
• You can Claim tiles that belong to color-faction Alliances.
If you’re in a color-faction Alliance (Alliance that owns a Fortress):
• You can Claim tiles owned by Explorers, but only if they are directly connected to your Fortress through adjacent tiles

🎉 New Update is Live!
We’ve added a better way to organize raids. Players can now create raid events in the WebApp. Others can view and join them with one click.
Why is this useful?
• You can see how many people are joining and plan your chances
• All events are in one place: no need to check different chats
• Events adjust to your time zone: just tap your avatar in Profile and set your zone once. Now all raid times will show correctly for you, wherever you are
• If you’re on the correct tile before the raid, you’ll auto-join at the right time
• Boss fights through events give 2x EXP
Want to lead a raid?
It takes more effort to set the right time and gather people — and you must be in the Ruins region to create an event - but if the raid is successful, organizers get +3 Echo Orbs.
