It's not the end of the world. You can move everything somewhere else 🤷

Читать полностью…Thanks i saw BitGet has it which i can still use in Canada so i will swap there for the time being. I hope this delisting stuff stops tho
Читать полностью…Maybe because there is no awareness about HOT.
I have never heard about NESS, WELL and BBL. Maybe other people (who are out of our Holo-bubble) classify HOT also to the unknown, abandoned coins.
If I want to get up-to-date information about Holo and HOT, it's nearly unavailable to find something.
well thats going to screw me for sure. all my HOt is on bybit and i have no idea where else to use it
Читать полностью…Totally agree.
And even if it would take one day preparation to give a small update it also would be manageable for the team, as well as for us as community.
Now we are waiting for years. so (at least in my view) it doesn't matter if it will take one more day or even one more week because of a pause for communicating with the community.
But it would be awesome to get some updates from time to time.
Honestly the intentionally not focused is becoming a bad narrative. With all respect, communication was always rather on the weaker side of strengths to put it very politely. I mean after collecting 8 digits in an ICO and 6+ years calling startup stage is almost funny. Yeah it‘s a new entity but it would be appropriate to stop hiding behind new entitys when the core idea and principle is supposed to be remaining the same.
But Kudos for at least taking the time to reply here being a team member and actually responding to people rather than simply pasting generic texts who read like the same statements for years such as Mary‘s recent „statement“.
There is also a test group of a few folks here who have been using our first products
Читать полностью…Hey everyone, I’ve been hearing a lot of questions and queries about Holo and I wanted to share some observations and thoughts.
There is much distrust in every community right now—the world is on fire. If you read any newspaper, follow any social media - listen in to any conversation out in the real world, you hear it. As a project, we certainly want people to stay engaged, to feel belonging and trust, but I do understand why people are feeling the way they are.
Holo is working on the infrastructure that supports projects that are working to provide more resilience, privacy and trust in the world. By doing the boring but necessary technical work, we are preparing to ensure things can keep working when chaos reigns. We’ve been talking about alternatives to big-tech and supporting systems that enable more digital sovereignty. While we might all appreciate the simple ways that AI tools are newly helping us to automate some of our work—those same forces in AI are also pushing for more and more oversight, gathering of data and centralised data infrastructure.
We’re here working, milestone by milestone, to ensure more projects that align with our committments and values can have the the infrastructure they need to get off big-tech and to opt for more segregated individual or small group data. The projects that need this may be using Holochain or they may be using other distributed web protocols. This is what mattered to us years ago and it is what matters to us today. We have competitors in every other cloud provider when it comes to the commoditized work of hosting storage, and compute. The difference is that we are ensuring it is done across nodes that are not just geographically distributed, but nodes with distinct ownership. We are ennabling a collaboration cloud. This is what mutual support looks like in world gone mad. It’s more important to us than ever to keep plugging away at getting it done.
Many of you know I’m working on a few other projects as well. This is because it matters so much to me. With Cirdia - I’m pushing it in the area that I care about the most - wellness. I said years ago on Holo AMAs that I wanted to see health and wellness apps built so people were not giving away their intimate body data - and in today’s world where AIs are using every bit of data to mimic, spoof and replace, that is even more critical. Cirdia will reach thousands of people this year - and Cirdia needs Holo ready to provide backup and peer-sharing infrastructure. That is how we move things. We do hard work, we design, we build and we figure out how to meet people where they are with marketing and sales.
Everyone has always asked why we don’t do more marketing with Holo. Most marketing dollars spent by startups (but definitely not all) are wasted. Who are we marketing to, what do we want them to buy, when do we want them to take an action? Putting up a billboard or doing ads on X isn’t going to bring us the niche market of projects and developers. At least not yet. We’re working on sales strategies that are targeted and quiet instead. We’re developing content for emails, building lists of projects and working to get the attention of the right people. This is the efficient way. We’ll do just a bit more that is visible when the new website goes live because it does a better job of telling people what they can do on our network. That is coming in May.
Holo is hard at work. If there is a shift that has been made, it is that we are not in a “build it and they will come” modality, we are in a more agile phase where we are engaging with a set of partners to understand what they need and how they will use what we build. We are building it, onboarding a project and testing it with them to refine it for ease of use and growth.
This may look boring - but just like with land regeneration or other large transformative processes, it takes doing the daily ritual.
Quote from Mary: That’s actually one we have to go back to the dev team for since we haven’t yet provided tooling to our ops team to be able to see it.
Читать полностью…Ah, I understand 😃.😄
I have nothing to add to what I said. I do not want to participate in these discussions that would inevitably lead to not being in line with everyone's ideas. Luckily I am fine with myself. Everything else? I wait for it with my patience 🙏💪🚀
Canada has a lot of restrictions and HOT is only available on certain exchanges

Читать полностью…Dear IOEN Community,
With heavy hearts, we share that our Adam has suffered a profound family loss. He will be taking some time away to grieve. Please join us in offering love and support during this difficult time.
In the meantime, David and I will keep you updated here.
Thank you. With care,

Holochain is a groundbreaking decentralized, agent-centric framework for distributed applications—fundamentally different from traditional blockchain systems and the current centralized internet model. Given its innovative nature, it naturally requires time to develop. This is understandable.
I sincerely appreciate Jarod's willingness to engage in this chat and answer questions, as suggested. His insights will help clarify things far better than silence.
Hi Jarod appreciate the update. I find it hard to believe that nobody has 30 minutes a month to give a small update on progress. Additionally, I'm not really buying the start up narrative. Yes you have created a different organisational structure but you are still the same people who have been building for over 7 years now. That beeing said I do agree the restructure was necessary and overall positive. If the focus has been on product and business development could we get an update how close we are to a hfv2 release that allows the community to swap their hot into hfv2?
Thanks!
We’ve intentionally not focused much on any external comms, and instead spending all energy on developing product, getting that product into customers and partners hands, and exploring with future partners. We started a new organization a few months ago. Smart startups focus on those things, first, imo. Comms will come.
And…if you haven’t noticed, all releases are publicly visible on GitHub. I’ll continue to be available here to answer questions or chime in whenever requested.
We’re here for a revolution we haven’t seen since Apple launched the iPhone and willing to wait longer for it. 🔥
The world deserves a new internet as well as a true decentralized currency
Can't handle facts? Or the standard answer "I trust the team and I have patience"?
Whatever, I'm also fine with myself. If someone misunderstood my words: I was not talking about myself.
Or do you mean with "arrogance" the statements from the team. The purport is nearly always the same, like: "we are working, so shut up and wait until we intend to tell you something"
