Hey, so I am running Fedora. I DL the newest version of bisq, installed it but it’s not showing up in my apps and I’m unable to open it. I am somewhat new to Linux but I did have it working in the past. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi folks, I've been unable to access the bisq easy app for the past 2 days. I have tried multiple times and had an active trade with a seller. I transferred money via wise and confirmed this on the app. I've traded with him twice previously and did see a message notification on my phone from him yesterday so suspect they responded to my last message. I haven't received the BTC in the wallet supplied and am unable to get on to the app to check details. Any advice? For the record, I keep getting a startup failed message with please check your Internet connection.

this issue should be resolvable offband by contacting the seller directly, so he sends the btc to you even if you don't connect to bisq2, he tagged you on matrix yesterday, did you notice his message?

I am not personally aware of similar feedback about bisq easy mobile, can you provide a more detailed description of the issue and details about your android device? if you sent the money to the correct account, in the correct amount, and used the trade id as payment reference, as required by the rules, the seller should have no reason to request mediation

that's interesting, I remember that users were having issues running bisq on it, and that's why they mentioned it in the first place, yet there is no official knowledge base at bisq that's specific to fedora
just out of curiosity, could you try building it from source and try starting it that way? maybe it changes something? keep in mind that java 11 should be used to start it

I don't think anyone from the support team has direct experience with fedora, and I remember other users in the past being unable to run bisq on that distribution, I myself would use a debian virtual machine to start it if I were you

Facts: I requested the offer for buying 320.000 sat in BTC L1 in exchange of 300 euros. The fiat transaction was through Wise bank (with wisetag). When the wisetag appeared, I copied and went to the Wise app to make the instant SEPA transfer. When I returned to the Bisq Easy app, seller's bank data had dissapeared (as she/he never had given them) and I couldn't not confirm the payment. I asked the seller to confirm if the money had arrived. She/he ssid yes, but refused to pay the BTC to my address if mediator does not intervene. We both claim tje mediator but she/he never came.
Now on, I'm trying to connect Bisq Easy but it does not connect.
The seller received the euros but I don't expect to receive the sats.
Do you need more facts? Name of mediator? Seller's wisetag? I cannot remember any other data and my Bisq Easy app does not work.

The app consumes a lot of battery and its boringly slow. One of the worst apps I've used in my entire life (more than 30 years using computers)
