installer for mac (.dmg) is corrupted, cannot download proper file from website
Читать полностью…Thanks for clearing this up. I fear that Bisq could get more liquidity if it supports this for some stable coins, particularly the Liquid Tether ones
Читать полностью…Whoever has the weaker proof, but generally it's on the buyer because if the package did not arrive, it did not arrive.
Читать полностью…Oh,right, I'll try to get back to you ASAP for real this time, got sidetracked
Читать полностью…Who is responsible if the cash does not reach the destination in a cash by mail transaction?
Читать полностью…That can get confusing, we understand that... Especially for stable coins where you see the inverse of the usual price. But that's the way it was coded in bisq, altcoin/bitcoin
Читать полностью…I would happily wait if it meant I got my compensation. If the penalty was non-trivial. Some threshold could be applied.
Читать полностью…A trader would have to wait until BSQ reimbursement is approved, which requires a cycle of 30 days. DAO would need to vote every reimbursement individually. Traders would need to wait a lot of time (maybe a year) until burned BSQ generate enough BTC. Small values of burned BSQ are not very profitable due to mining costs and the amount of BTC could not be equal to what they would get in BSQ.
Читать полностью…If the DAO needs to capture more value from its users, cause of the market conditions last while, surely there's a better way than taking it from the penalties that were meant to go to traders who had BTC locked away from them for weeks and weeks? :)
Читать полностью…(the mechanism may be imprecise and with risks, but those factors are general to the DAO and the BSQ tokenomics, aren't they?).
Читать полностью…known "issue", installer is fine but macos still will complain about it: https://bisq.wiki/Downloading_and_installing#macOS
Читать полностью…this has probably been discussed already in proposals, but nothing stop you from pinging devs again to ask this, still, with all the job needing to be done on bisq2 I doubt they will be happy to add yet more features to bisq1
Читать полностью…Cannot really fault the seller for that, in this case trade is usually cancelled and both get their deposit back
Читать полностью…Oh wait you mean price deviation, same thing though, that's how it was setup, adding that feature would mean having price nodes keep up with a geometrically higher number of quotation pairs from several different exchanges
Читать полностью…If you are making offers for altcoins (like stablecoins) how come you can't use market prices like you can with the fiat options?
Читать полностью…The single BM role went to multiple BM addresses which are a weighted set of eligible contributors. Right?
Читать полностью…The current BM scheme comes from the filter used to reimburse victims of the attack to the DAO on april 2020, but it was centralized and did not require them to burn BSQ (traders already lost something previously). There was a risk though, where the attacker would win twice, one attacking Bisq, and then by getting a reimbursement.
Читать полностью…And the most important:
A burningman should not have more than 11% of share, otherwise he could create fake offers only to take profit from reimbursements.
Contributors are semi-known actors that have spent time and effort to help Bisq grow, and so they're less likely to attack the DAO.
I'd love to understand the calculation in 411... Would help me.
Читать полностью…If value of the fees and DPTs that goes to BMs can (via burning and creating of BSQs in proofs and trades, etc) then be moved and used to compensate contributors and traders already, why not for the penalty the ~30 or so traders each cycle were due? (Almost always cause other trader just went unresponsive for whatever reason).
