Job Title : Deployment Power Eng
Job Location : Basra
Job Duties:
• Design, plan, and develop electrical power distribution systems for data center facilities, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, transfer switches, and power distribution units (PDUs).
• Ensure power redundancy and fault tolerance to minimize downtime risks
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
• Monitor and manage electrical distribution to ensure efficient power usage and load balancing.
• Design and maintain emergency backup power systems (generators, battery systems) to provide continuous power in case of grid failures.
• Conduct regular testing and maintenance of backup power systems.
• Implement energy-efficient technologies and practices to reduce power consumption and environmental impact.
• Monitor and optimize Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and energy efficiency metrics
• Develop electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
• Perform load calculations to determine system capacity requirements.
• Ensure that electrical systems and equipment comply with safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Implement safety measures to protect personnel and equipment from electrical hazards
• Assess power capacity requirements based on current and future data center growth.
• Plan for power capacity upgrades and expansion as needed.
• Implement real-time monitoring solutions to track power usage and detect anomalies.
• Generate reports on electrical system performance and capacity utilization.
• Manage electrical engineering projects within the OLT Room ,DC, REP including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other teams.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for equipment procurement and installation.
• Maintain accurate records, drawings, and documentation related to electrical systems and configurations.
• Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant personnel.
• Follow industry codes, regulations, and standards
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with Technical Certification
• A minimum 5Years’ experience in the telecommunication/ISP or network operations industry
• Good Command of English and Arabic- Written and Spoken
• Good Command of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, email )
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution systems, and electrical codes and standards.
• Good knowledge of Construction and installation
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Techniques
• Structural and Mechanical systems understanding
• Use of diagnostic equipment, with Health & Safety Techniques
