I thought you are referring to different application softwares like probably 3ds max, rizom UV, Substance painter, unreal engine, Lumion, photoshop, primier pro or stuff like that.

These are all just max addons/plugins...

Basically they are saying they use these plugins extensively to make archviz.

The only plugins which has deeper learning curve and takes longer is Tyflow and probably Railclone(for advanced parametric stuff)

Floor gen, glue,clone, spline offset, splinelamd are all small scripts that help in everyday work with splines. Just google them/youtube them..

Craft director is for animating cars/vehicles

Anima is simple. It's just a plugin for crowd scattering. You choose the people, select the place, done.. there are some other features but it's easy to learn.

I don't think they require you to know all 12 softwares..but knowing is a plus though.

it just means that they have a workflow with all those softwares. And if you know 3-5 of them, they can place you in the pipeline somewhere that uses only 2-3 of those.

Get a good 80 plus silver or higher rated power supply.. don't buy a cheap one and regret later

And get a higher wattage one for future proofing, in case you upgrade GPU in future.

Man you are just naming hardware and software..

T1000 is the 'lowest end' workstation card with 800 cores and 4GB VRAM

And 4080 is a top end card with ~10,000 cores..

It's almost 1300% higher specs. You cant even compare them.


Coming to softwares, you can't use 3ds max or Lumion or Maya, you have to use 1 to model and Lumion to render....if you are looking to using Lumion, you are probably into archviz. And Maya doesn't even enter into that realm...

Had this problem too. I moved back to 2016 and it wouldn't even bring up the activation menu. I think it's an issue with the new operating systems.

Forest pack, Railclone, Anima, Tyflow are hugely popular plugins of 3ds max... Look them up and watch videos.

Looking at passmark score 3060 is 17k and 4060 is 19.6K.

unless there is some exclusive feature that's only available for 40 series is needed, I usually recommend getting 3060 itself.
It's got more VRAM and is cheaper, better for bigger scenes and not much difference in performance.

The difference is probably more in gaming than 3D work..

Is DLSS ray reconstruction available for 30 series?

3060 is slower than 4060, yes, but, has 12GB memory, 4060 has 8GB
