First and foremost, I deem it necessary to humbly express my gratitude for the trust and favor of the Supreme and Capable Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, as well as for the kind consideration of the Honorable President.
Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands at one of the most sensitive and decisive junctures in its contemporary history. The Iranian nation has risen in a great uprising and revolution to restore its historical glory and grandeur.
Under such circumstances, this humble servant regards this responsibility as a sacred trust before the nation of Iran, its revered martyrs, the holy system of the Islamic Republic, and the history of Iran.
It must be reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not retreat from the rights and interests of its people in the face of any threat. Accordingly, decisions in this domain must be taken more decisively than ever before, with a precise understanding of the situation, and with prudence and courage.
The goal is not merely to get through a critical and momentous phase; rather, it is for Iran to emerge from this stage with greater security, cohesion, power, and enhanced capacities for progress and development.
It is self-evident that the sacred system of the Islamic Republic does not regard national security as separate from the peace, welfare, and livelihood of the people, economic stability, social cohesion, defensive capability, diplomatic strength, and the country's social capital. All these components together constitute Iran's national power and must serve a single purpose: the protection of Iran, the Islamic Revolution and its values, and the glorious future of the Iranian nation.
In the foreign arena, in accordance with the supreme leader's strategic guidelines, the principle will be to strengthen deterrence capacity, resist the bullying of enemies, respond swiftly and decisively to any aggression, maximize national welfare and the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran at both the regional and international levels, utilize diplomatic capacities, engage with strength and authority, while simultaneously maintaining the country's readiness against any threat.
As a servant of the Iranian nation and a soldier of the two Imams of the Revolution and the Supreme Leader, I firmly believe that today, more than ever, national unity and solidarity between the people and officials are a strategic necessity. To successfully navigate this proud historical juncture, Iran needs, above all, trust, strengthened cohesion, national unity, and prudent leadership.
Trusting in Almighty God, under the auspices of our Master, Imam of the Age, May God hasten his noble reappearance, and in light of the wise guidance of the Supreme Leader, with the support and backing of the esteemed and sincere President and the honorable members of the Supreme National Security Council, and relying on the immense capacities of the Iranian nation, I will devote all my strength to this path so that Iran remains, more than ever, a factor for stability, authority, confidence, and tranquility in the region.
