‏اَللَّهُمَّ سَلِّمْنـِيْ إِلَى رَمَضَانَ وَسَلِّمْ لِـيْ رَمَضَانَ وَتَسَلَّمْهُ مِنِيْ مُتَقَبَّلاً.

‏Allahumma sallimnee ila Ramadan, wa sallim lee Ramadan, wa tasallamhu minnee mutaqabbala

‏ O Allāh, keep me safe until Ramadān, keep Ramadān safe for me, and accept it from me.”

The practice of the Salaf in removing doubts by asking the scholars.

He said: The practice of the Salaf in removing doubts by asking the scholars.

Not by asking Google, not that an individual searches the websites when he has doubts. No! If you were able to be safe from doubts it wouldn’t have intruded in your heart! So this individual is unable to remove it. Rather, the one that is able to remove it is the one who inherited from the Prophet in explaining the religion. You should go back to a scholar and put forth this doubt to him in order for him to remove it for you. Don’t go back to other than him because if you went back to other than him, the doubt will increase and it will be established your heart.

Afterwards, he said:

The scholars will answer it with what will remove the doubt from him. And this is because they only ascribe the statement to the Messenger

How will the scholar remove the doubt? With proofs, not with their opinions, or with desires, or with what the people of the land were brought up upon. No! Rather these doubts are removed with proofs.So none has the ability to remove doubts unless he has with him an army of proofs. If he doesn’t have an army of proofs, he will be from the humiliated. So the strong from the scholars is the one who is strengthened by an army of proofs from the Statements of Allah and the statements of His Messenger. If a doubt takes over the heart of the creation, then he has the weapons that he can repel these doubts from himself and the Muslims. So when a doubt befalls the slave, then he is commanded to ask a firmly grounded scholar about it. And the firmly grounded scholar is commanded to repel these doubts with the Statement of Allah and the statement of His Messenger.

117 - The Darknesses of the Earth are Five - Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymīn

ولنفرض أن حبة صغيرة في ظلمات الأرض
Let's suppose a small grain is in the darkness of the earth.

ظلمات الأرض خمسة أنواع
The darkness of the earth is of five types.

لنفرض أن حبة صغيرة منغمسة في طين في قاع البحر،
Let's say, a small grain is buried in mud at the bottom of the sea.

الظلمة الأولى: الطين المنغمسة فيه.
The first darkness is that of the soil in which it is buried in.

الثانية: ظلمة الماء في البحر.
The second is the darkness of water in the sea.

الثالثة: ظلمة الليل.
The third is the darkness of the night.

الرابعة: ظلمة السحاب المتراكم.
The fourth is the darkness of the overcrowded clouds.

الخامسة: ظلمة المطر النازل.
The fifth is the darkness of the pouring rain.

خمس ظلمات فوق هذه الحبة الصغيرة؛ والله عز وجل يعلمها.
Five levels of darknesses above this small grain and Allah ﷻ knows it (this grain).

(وَلا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَلا رَطْبٍ وَلا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ) [الأنعام: ٥٩]
He ﷻ says, "There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record." [Al-An'ām: 59]

مكتوب، بين، ظاهر، معلوم عند رب العالمين عز وجل.
It is written, clear, evident, and well-known with the Rabb ﷻ of al-'ālamīn (all created things).

Dua for warding off Grief & Anxiety

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ عَبْدُكَ ، وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ ، وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ ، نَاصِيَتِيْ بِيَدِكَ ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ ، أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ ، سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَدًا مِّنْ خَلْقِكَ ، أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِيْ كِتَابِكَ ، أَوِ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِيْ عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ ، أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيْعَ قَلْبِيْ ، وَنُوْرَ صَدْرِيْ وَجَلَاءَ حُزْنِيْ ، وَذَهَابَ هَمِّيْ

Allāhumma innī ʿabduk, wa-bnu ʿabdik, wa-bnu amatik, nāṣiyatī bi-yadik, māḍin fiyya ḥukmuk, ʿadlun fiyya qaḍā’uk, as’aluka bi-kulli-smin huwa lak, sammayta bihī nafsak, aw ʿallamtahū aḥadam-min khalqik, aw anzaltahū fī Kitābik, awi-sta’tharta bihī fī ʿilmi-l-ghaybi ʿindak, an tajʿala-l-Qur’āna rabīʿa qalbī, wa nūra ṣadrī wa jalā’a ḥuznī, wa dhahāba hammī.

O Allah, I am Your servant and the son of Your male servant and the son of Your female servant. My forehead is in Your Hand (i.e. you have control over me). I am subject to Your judgement and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You – by every name that is Yours, by which You have named Yourself, or taught any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You – to make the Qur’ān the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief and the reliever of my anxiety.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“There is no one who is stricken with grief and anxiety, and then says [the above] — except that Allah will remove his grief and anxiety, and will give him joy instead.”

The Companions asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, should we not learn these words?’ He ﷺ replied, ‘Certainly! The one who hears them should learn them.’” (Ahmad 3712)

Shaykh Sulaymān ar-Ruhayli, [may Allāh preserve him], said:

*“Do you want to reap the rewards of seven Hajj rituals, all within the confines of your own country, in just a single day?!*

The Prophet, صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم said: ‘Whosoever leaves his home in a state of ritual purification (wudū) to perform the obligatory prayer receives a reward like a pilgrim in the state of ihrām.’ - These are five.

The Prophet, صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: ‘Whosoever prays the dawn prayer (Fajr) in congregation, then sits remembering Allāh until the sun rises, then prays two units of prayer, will attain the complete reward of Hajj and Umrah, complete, complete.’ - This is the sixth.

The Prophet, صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, said: ‘Whosoever goes to the mosque, desiring only to learn or teach what is good, has the reward of a complete Hajj - complete.’ This is the seventh.’”
